Chapter 9: Camp Half blood- Overview
Mc's POV
Chiron and I are walking in comfortable silence. He seemed to have a lot on his mind, so I decided not to have a conversation. I began checking out the camp. It looked the same as in the books except now the campers are running around carrying weapons. If my father saw these war preparations, he would have a field day. There is no proper division of labor. And if I remember the scene earlier properly, there is no appropriate response team too. A few campers led by Clarisse made a team on spot but it was useless. It seems they were never trained to fight in a war. If I remember the books right, there were trained to act more independently as they go on quests in a small groups.
We crossed the volleyball court and looked upon the camp houses. I know a little about them from the vague recollections of books I read. I decided to ask my guide about them.
"Hmm... Mr. Chiron, Are those residential buildings?" My question brought Chiron out of his brooding.
" Hah...Yes, I am sorry Mr. Kalki I wasn't being a proper guide. Yes, Those are the residential buildings for the campers. The majestic one in the center is Zeus's cabin and the one beside it is Hera's cabin.."
" Hold up! Why would Hera need a cabin? This camp is for Half-bloods right ?"
" Well, that is an honorary cabin. These cabins represent Olympus' thrones. Since Hera has a throne, she has a cabin too." Oh, what an inefficient way of planning. It seems the pride of Olympians is not exaggerated.
"The ones on the left are the cabins of male Olympians and those on the right are for the female Olympians. Initially, Hestia used to have a cabin there but was replaced by Dionysus' after she gave up her throne."
"And Hades? "
Chiron sighed at that. "Hades children are rare and problematic. Most of them are reclusive and easily seduced to the dark side. They don't end up in the camp for various reasons. Sometimes Hades prefers his children in the underworld where he can be closer to them. "
I am interested in Hades because he is a major connecting point between the DxD world and the PJO world. In DxD he played a major antagonist role with his 'Alliance of Hell'. I need to be mindful of him. I do not know if he was going to do the same thing. This whole merging of worlds thing threw away any chance of using canon knowledge. If only I had the power of my grandfather(Shiva) to predict the future. Now that I think about it, the Fates and the Oracle can predict the future. If I can receive a prophecy it would make things easier. Or more confusing. Prophecies are pretty unreliable. And I cannot just ask for a prophecy either. Maybe I will lead the quest to retrieve the Golden Fleece and seek an audience with Oracle using that. Any clue would be worth the effort.
" Mr. Kalki..? Mr. Kalki!!" Chiron called me out. Huh? It seems I was lost in my thoughts.
" Sorry, Mr. Chiron I was lost in my thoughts. I am pretty nervous about my mother." I quickly apologized. That was rude of me. I was the one who requested a tour and I was not being a good listener."
" It's alright Mr. Kalki. It seems we both have something on our minds. Maybe we should skip the tour. I will assign a knowledgeable camper to guide you after we meet with Mr.D."
" I would appreciate that. Thank you."
We made our way to a four-storied blue house with white trimmings. There are a lot of wounded campers probably from the previous battle going in.
" This is the Big House. It is the main administrative building of the camp. It has an infirmary that tends to the wounded run by Apollo cabin." Chiron started explaining. "The second floor was my office and my apartment. The Rec room is where we hold the head of cabin meetings. Mr. D should be around the deck. Come on."
I followed Chiron ignoring the past tense when he referred to his office. We made past the wounded easing on the lawn chairs to the other side of the deck that is facing a lawn and forest.
" I immediately noticed a strong divine presence weaker than father's but stronger than stepmother's. That must be Dionysus. He is engaged in a conversation with a pale thin man in an orange prisoner's suit.
" Oh come on. You will like it here. Maybe Zeus will reduce your sentence.." Dionysus stopped after noticing us. I was guessing the identity of the old man when he decided to break the silence himself. " Now who is this brat?" He asked in a dismissive tone that I hate. I figured out his identity. Tantalus, the mortal king that cooked his children served them as a feast to humiliate the gods. I noticed Dionysus with an amused expression at his question. It seems I need to set an example so I glared at him while simultaneously releasing my full aura. Chiron visibly paled at that. Dionysus raised an eye-bow and became serious. And Tantalus who bore full burnt cowered in his seat and felt as if the whole space is crushing him on all sides. I motioned him to move out with my eyes and he immediately ran off. I relaxed my aura and settled into the seat that he left. I wore an easy-going smile and introduced myself. I motioned for a satyr nearby that is acting strangely weird after I released my aura, to bring the snacks he was holding on the table. He did it immediately with an odd excitement. He wanted to say something but Dionysus gestured for him to leave. Mr.D's attitude became a bit accommodating after that.
" I am Viswa Suhas." For a moment when I said my true name, the space around us vibrated. I continued "from Hindu Pantheon. You can call me Kalki. I am the son of Karthikeya, the Hindu God of War. I came here searching for my mother who is supposed to be a Greek goddess."
There was an uncomfortable silence after that.
" So you are a god?" Dionysus broke the silence by asking the most important question. You see gods follow a set of rules. They are like nobles, they cannot do things like show up uninvited as that would cause some political issues. So my dramatic unannounced entrance could be taken as aggressive.
" No. You see, when I was born, I could not handle my domains so my grandfather, Shiva, decided to make me a mortal by letting a couple adopt me until I grew up powerful enough to control my domains. So I am not technically a 'god.' There was again a silence as other parties digested the information I dumped on them. I was helping myself to the barbecue in front of me. It's good. It tasted like the time when I roasted a deer during my hunting sessions.
After Mr.D and Chiron finished their silent conversation." If you don't mind me asking, what was your major domain?" Chiron asked uncomfortably. It is a sensitive question to ask and I can deny answering that but I decided to be a bit forthcoming seeing as I would need their help in the future.
" I am the God of Space." I declared while the space around us vibrated once again to confirm my statement.

Viswa_Suhas_7 Sorry everyone. After reading a comment about power levels, I decided to do more research on DxD other than anime. I wanted to change my intial plot to fit more accordingly to the light novels but it was too confusing as Issei was breaking through levels with his bullshit cheat. So finally I decided to set a more AU version that only includes power levels from my point of view. So This would be a major AU. There won't be any alliamce of hell and other related story lines. From DxD I would only use characters and develop a different story from that.
