Chapter 3: Homeland

" Emily White," she read out her new name.

"Can this be trusted?" Emily asked. Even if she did not hear the hitmen's conversation, she knew they could not have gotten into the house without inside help.

"Yes," Jude nodded his head.

"Are you sure that there is no traitor who knows about this?" Emily was still sceptical.

"No, these are safe, at birth, every William child has three identities created for them due to the peculiar nature of the family. So starting from two days ago, Elizabeth Williams is dead," Jude explained.

When Emily heard this reply, she nodded her head. She felt that a part of her was dead with her parent. In fact, she thought it was best that her identity as Elizabeth disappeared with her family.

From that moment, she never thought of herself as Elizabeth Williams again. Instead, she made sure not to think about it again but to keep it as her dream until the time was right.

Snapping back into the present, Emily curved her lips into a smile.

"It's time for revenge," she muttered to herself as her private plane touched its foot on her homeland.

Jude was waiting to pick her up at the Airport. He stayed back all the while to build a new company from scratch. Of course, Emily was aware of the whole process since it was part of her plans. To eliminate any suspicion, he never appeared to the public, and everyone believed that the company's CEO was abroad. While he got someone to represent him in all the public appearances.

He has been a face associated with the Williams for many years. If he appeared with Emily in the future, those that know better would start investigating Emily, and her cover will be easily blown.

Some people assumed the CEO to be a handsome, wealthy man. Others conclude that he was old, but nobody thought of the possibility that it could be a woman.

"How is it going?" Emily asked as she joined Jude in the car. Today her arrival in the country was kept a secret so she could meet with Jude.

"The partnership will pull through, you just have to show up next week for formality. since the Brown has refused to have anything to do with our company unless they meet the CEO," Jude explained.

"Okay, at least I should learn what my enemy looks like in person," she muttered. Emily has not met the man in person, just in pictures in magazines. And she has not been paying attention to the news for quite some time now.

"Old Brown has retired; the company is in the hands of his son now. Eric Brown," Jude informed her.

"Whatever, the mission is to destroy the Brown family. I don't care who is sitting on the chair," Emily replied.

Jude nod. It seems the young lady is now reasonable unlikely before, Jude thought as he watched her composed behaviour. She even displayed some sense of responsibility and came up with a revenge plan. She doesn't seem to be a cry baby anymore, Jude thought and breathed a sigh of relief.

.....

The following Monday, Emily dressed up in her black suit and a white shirt. Her hair was parked into a tight bunny tail, and her face looked natural as she had only put on light makeup. Her look was charming and adorable but very professional.

Her driver was already waiting for her with her new assistant and bodyguard, Kevin. Her arrival had been kept secret before today's meeting.

"Good morning, ma'am," they both bow their heads to show respect. Emily glanced at the two men. Apart from professionalism, what she and Jude cared about the most was loyalty. Jude has put the two men to the loyalty test over time, and he was sure that they were honourable men, so he chose them to work closely with Emily.

After looking at them for some time, she was satisfied with Jude's choice; she nodded her head before getting into the back seat while her driver closed the door.

Kevin joined the driver in the front seat, and they drove quietly. The two men could not understand why her presence would carry so much fear and a domineering aura. Was she not just a woman? Women are known to be soft and delicate. They expected to meet a spoiled brat with an overbearing attitude, but Emily looked nothing like that.

She carried herself with so much grace and Charisma. And She had the typical aura of a domineering boss. Nothing like a young lady in her twenties. Moreover, she was supposed to be a rich spoiled brat.

Kevin liked his formal boss, the acting president, Who was now vice-president. If given a choice, he would have preferred to continue working with him, but Jude insisted on moving him to Emily. He hated the idea of a female boss, especially some spoiled brat.

He knew firsthand that a female boss could be overbearing. He once worked with one, which is part of why he jumped at the opportunity to work with the acting president of a start-up company. Who would have thought that he would be back to his days of having a female boss after falling in love with his new job?

He understood why Jude decided to move him to be by the president's side. Emily had been away after starting the company, so she needed someone who understood her new schedule and all the company's dealings.

So he reluctantly agrees and decides to do his job. But honestly, Emily gave him a different vibe when he saw her this morning. She seems to be a capable woman from her looks.

Although he knew looks could be deceiving, his first impression of people is usually not wrong. "Figures crossed," he muttered to himself.

Emily, on the other hand, was engrossed in her own thoughts. She was finally taking the first step of her revenge plan. A collaboration with the Browns, "how satisfying," she thought.

Forty-five minutes later, they arrived at the company, ABM group, which was headed by the Browns. ABM group has existed for more than half a century. It major in Technology, computer software, hardware, and even the gaming industry. Recently it acquired sunlight, a leading company in the entertainment industry. The group announced their interest in branching out to other sectors of the economy, and the entertainment industry was their first stop.

Emily's lips curved into a smirk. She looked at the tall buildings in front of her. Not a lot of things seem to have changed in the last five years. It was her first official visit to the company's building because before leaving five years ago, she had visited this place and promised to ruin the Browns just like they ruined her family and business.

Five years has been a long time to wait without doing anything. It was a painful wait, but Emily was happy it was over.

Kevin stepped out of the car and opened the door.

"Madam," he called out, seeing she was deep in thought.
