Chapter 5: Dungeon- I

I summoned my stat window with the intention to distribute the 5 points I got from completing the daily mission.

"3 points to strength and 2 to stamina." Stamina would keep me running for a longer period of time and if I get physically stronger, many things would become that much easier for me.

Although I didn't feel any apparent changes in my body I could easily deadlift 40 kg with little to no effort. I could definitely tell the difference now, earlier this body is in no condition to even handle 20 kg but just spending 3 points my physical strength had improved this much.

"Please come again." Yeah, you will be expecting me every day from now lady. Somehow I have to persuade my parent to let me come here every day.

***

The week and few days were better— And worse. It was better because my stats are increasing at a rapid pace due to the daily Quest. In 12 days I acquired 60 points, 20 was wasted on strength, 20 on stamina, 10 on Agility, & the remaining 10 were distributed evenly into intelligence and Perception.

My body has acquired some drastic changes. My flabby flesh was gradually disappearing only to be replaced by hard muscles, thanks to that my overall frame had grown bigger as well.

And it seems the female populace of the Kuoh academy also had picked up on this, due to my increased perception I could hear them whisper about me.

Summoned Beings-

Hanged Man.

Finishing the daily Quest became easier now, I could finish the whole damn thing within an hour. I began to feel like I was treading in water, instead of drowning in it.

It was worse because I was tired of getting shitty items from the gacha, duplicate items such as an iron shield, an iron sword, & leather boots are laying inside my inventory. Just a low-grade healing potion is the only useful thing I acquired in these few days, but sadly it provided me just one vial.

It was a miserable few days, but I believe today is my lucky day folks, Saturday always has been a day that I looked forward to, I have a feeling that I will at least get something useful.

I have been saving those mystery boxes. Against all the terrible urges I didn't open a single one of them. Instead of opening one at a time, it would be more beneficial if I open up 10 or more.

With my finger crossed I gave the system a mental order to open up all 13 boxes. All morning I was keeping a positive look. Yesterday while I was lying sleepless in my bed, I even prayed ten times. Just one good item, I will be happy with one useful thing.

[Would like to open all random boxes] [Y/N]

"Confirm"

[You have obtained the following items]

Low-class Healing Potions [6x]

20 additional Stat points.

[Dungeon Key]

On crushing the key host will be transported to a dimension, They generally contain a horde of monsters, which are led by a boss, and remain open until the boss is killed. Once the boss is killed, the dungeon will stay open for about an hour before closing on its own.

[Goblin: Lv requirement: None]

This is the ticket to my raising my level, I have a shit ton of low-level healing potions and even have essential equipment. If shit went south, I have Hanged man to rely on, eleven seconds is enough to cut the boss into pretty little pieces.

I have made up my mind, I will be entering this dungeon, today is the most ideal day since both my parents have gone to a party hosted by Dad's company. They won't know if I disappear for an hour or two.

But before entering the dungeon I have to make some preparation, first I gathered some old books and duct tape. I wore clothes that fully covered my body, a pair of hoodies, and running pants. Then I covered my wrist with books and used duct tape to hold it in place, just like Brad Pitt did in World War Z— You know what I mean— put on a pair of those leather boots, after that, I went downstairs to our storage room to look for more materials and finally stored some first aids items to patch up my wounds.

"Okay, let's do this." I summoned an iron sword and the key which look like a glowing crystalline pebble instead of an actual key.

[Item: Iron longsword]

Attack +10.

As soon I crushed the pebble in my palm a blue translucent entryway appeared before me. It seems to be protected with some kind of barrier, but I have a feeling I could easily pass through it.

With a nervous look, I stepped through it and found myself in an underground cave system. Long dark pathway dimly lit by flickering flammable Torch lights lining the jagged walls. The vibe is already creepy enough to make me change my mind, but your boy ain't no little scared bitch, he came prepared, and lo and behold his cheap ass substitute of the headlamp.

I took out a bicycle helmet with three flashlights duct-taped on it from my inventory, and just to make it extra sturdy I used fishing lines to hold them in place. I may be an idiot but I am an overly cautious person, you think I will just step into the unknown without proper equipment.

I ain't no fool.

Strapping the helmet on, I switched on all the flashlights. The whole cave was illuminated by them, the beam of light was so intense that I can see way far into the cave.

I entered deeper and deeper into the cave without any sign of life. I carefully stepped on the rocky ground while scanning the surroundings.

And then, I sensed something, I looked ahead and saw an outline of something childlike hiding behind a boulder.

Since my head was attached to the light source, all three beams were focused on the boulder when I turned to look at the creature.

As if sensing that it's futile to hide now. A Hideous malnourished child Hulk made itself visible and let out a screech. Within mere seconds two more malnourished dwarf hulks jumped out of a tunnel and flocked toward me.

Their little hands held cheap rusty swords, bows, and maces, they are grinning from ear to ear. One of the ugly little shit aimed his bow at me and nocked an arrow to his bowstring, he drew and fired.

Honestly, the arrow appeared to me as if it was moving in slow motion. I could easily pry it away with my iron sword.

"So raising perception seems to be quite beneficial." With one swift swipe of my iron sword, I cut the projectile out of the air. A goblin leaped at me. The creature wielded an iron mace, I didn't waste any second and swung my sword at the goblin. The moment my blade came in contact with his mace, its whole body was launched back with inhumane speed and crashed headfirst into the jagged rocky walls of the cave.

[You have killed a Goblin] [20Xp]

The immense impact left the Goblin's head leaning at an impossible angle as it collapsed lifelessly down on the ground.

When did I get so strong? Incapable of comprehending the implications of what just happened, the Goblin carrying a sword charged at me

"Gayou!!!" The sharp edge of my blade sliced open the creature's chest. The malnourished child Hulk spat out a pained cry as it fall back in a heap.

The goblin struggled to stand up, it let out muffled screeches as I approached the downed monster before me.

"Who is laughing now? Ugly son of a bitch" With one swift swing of my sword I beheaded the creature, I don't feel any emotions when I killed it. No regret… nothing…

[20Xp]

The goblin with the bow unconsciously took a step back when I raised my head to look at it. It quickly turned around and hightailed back to whatever hole it crawled out of.

I took a position of throwing, I aimed my iron sword at it, you think I will let my precious XP leave like that?

I pulled my arm back and threw the iron sword. I don't know if it was by luck or what, but the iron sword's blade went right through the Goblin's skull, the immense force behind the throw propelled the creature into the wall and lodged him there.

And just like that it also hit the dust.

[20Xp]

I admit it was a little brutal, but desperate time needs brutal solutions. I ain't leaving a single XP behind.

I quickly pried my sword from the Goblin's skull and went deeper into the cave, with hopes of leveling up.

And just as I expected it was packed with goblins, within 500 meters or so I would come face to face with goblins in groups of 4 or 5.

One word to express my mood is joy, pure unadulterated joy. They are so fucking weak, that it looks like I was bullying the weak… Well more like slaughtering them. The 20 points that I got from the boxes were invested in perception, this seems to be the most important stats in a situation like this, the more points I add the easier it gets to predict the pattern of these malnourished creatures' strikes.

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

[Level Up!]

As expected, my levels rose up quite quickly. Simply slaughtering every goblin in the cave, my level shot up to 8 and when I level up, a single point will be added to all my stats.

On top of that, I will be rewarded 5 points every time I level up. If I keep this pace, heck I will leave those demons, girls, to dust within a few days.

Satisfied with my farming, I moved deeper only to find stairs leading down. I gave one look at my stats and then the stairs ways.

I went down, this time the Goblins were wearing good pieces of equipment and some of them are over level 5, but in front of massive stats gap difference, these little shits are nothing but pigs asking to get slaughtered by yours truly.

Unlike on the first floor, these goblins are cluttered up in numbers of 2 to 3 in different sections of these caves. This time things were a little different, the first creature I killed dropped off loots and gives an extra 20 XP.

[You found the item: Low-grade mana Crystal. Take it?]

Rarity: None.

A small crystal filled with tiny minuscule magical energy can be used to craft items. Can be stored in the inventory or can be sold at the store.

"Store? There was a store?" I can access the store?

[Your level is too low to access the store function]

Disappointing, but understandable. I want to sell that mana, Crystal.

[30 gold coins have been stored, you can use them to buy items from the store] By the time I dealt with the last goblin on this floor my level already had reached level 18.
