Chapter 2: Chapter 2 Crash landing
"Hello prisoners, I hope you are all doing okay, my name is Jaha, and I am the chancellor, along with other members, we have decided to send a group of people who have been charged with crimes to Earth, in order to test it, if you go down and survive, we will pardon you and this will be a great contribution to the Ark."
Alex POV Continued:-
This guy named Jaha kept spewing stuff until he bid us goodbye, judging from all the booing,I could see, he wasn't well liked by these guys, the shuttle started rattling as we made our way to the Earth.
I wanted to get a clear look at the Earth from space, it was a childhood dream of mine.
I was about to get out when a girl called me out, she had blonde hair and an oval face. "What are you doing?, get back to your seat, it's dangerous, we will be entering the Earth's atmosphere any minute now." - she said.
I decided to listen to her, she was, after all, correct in pointing that out.
"My name is Clarke." - she said.
"I'm Alex" - I answered, she gave me a nod before shouting at another guy, the same one who was sitting besides me a while ago.
I got to know his name from Clarke, he was Finn, the spacewalk guy, or whatever that means. He wasted their three months of oxygen supply for an illegal spacewalk.
Soon enough the Shuttle had hit a malfunction and everyone screamed.
I felt nausea as we went tumbling down straight into the Earth.
"Brace yourselves everyone!" - I shouted as I hugged the belts as my life depended on it.
after some time, we landed on Earth, the rumbling also stopped as everyone quieted down. We were looking at each other ,this was a new experience for me.
From space to Earth, with a malfunctioned shuttle that was about to collapse, everything was heart wrenching.
I opened my seat belts as I made way to the commotion, it seems like the two kids who were fooling around were now dead, only finn was alive. These two were fooling around with finn, those stupid brats were doing stunts, and now they're dead.
Another guy was about to walk up to the gate to open them but was stopped by Clarke,
She warned him not to open the door as who knows if they might be attacked by the radiation, to which the guy said that if this were true, they were dead anyways.
couldn't help but agree with the guy, this was absolutely true, if there really was radiation outside, and they had no food on the ship, this means they will die sooner or later.
At this moment a voice sounded out from the far back
The guy was about to open the door was surprised, he shouted "Octavia" as he hugged the girl who leapt at him.
Maybe they were both lovers or something.
after a bit of discussion, and opposition from Well's side, it was decided that they will open the door.
with a huge humm, the door opened slowly and everyone gasped, for them, this sight was beautiful as they had never seen the beauty of the Earth, but for me who was originally from Earth, this all was normal.
Others were amazed by the beauty, The lush green forests, huge trees, chirping of birds, flowing clean water, their eyes squinted, adjusting to the brightness
I, on the other hand, kept going around in circles , trying to come across everyone of the juveniles ,trying to spot the Anomaly, the faster I do this, the better, no matter how beautiful this was, anything that has the word apocalyptic in it, can't be all that good.
unfortunately everyone started to disperse In small groups so I couldn't complete my mission as fast as I wanted to.
While I was looking around the area, in search of this Anomaly,I heard sounds of a commotion,I decided to go and find out what happen.
When I reached the location, I was surprised to find that it was a quarrel between two groups, one was composed of those that wanted to reach this place called "Mount weather" for food and supplies, and to find a way to contact the Ark, while the other was under Bellamy who was saying that it was better if the Ark believed we were dead.
Everyone was agreeing with Bellamy, Clarke went along with Wells, who wasn't that well-received due to his father being the chancellor or something like that.
I noticed that she was gathering people, I decided to go ahead and join them.
"So, You are with us?" - asked Clarke, she knew from my gesture that I was with her group, but she still asked.
"I suppose." - I nodded in agreement.
