Chapter 5: Chapter 5
Hiruko woke up the next morning and the first thing he did was check his exp which shows 10/100. That's because he did some shuriken throwing and study at the library which gave him 5exp each.
Next he went on to check his quest. First he checked the main quest

[ Achieve the rank of genin; reward unknown ]
looking at the screen, he can at least guess that the reward will only be given when he complete the quest.
Next, he checked the daily quest
[ Practice your throwing skills 5exp ]
[ Gain more knowledge 5exp ]
[ Teach Naruto 7exp ]
" I see there are only three quest?"
[ You don't have to worry; don't forget there is still additional quest which can appear anytime ]
" I know that and I ain't complaining about the quest either. " He can't complain about anything, just like he learned yesterday from the AI the system seems to have a mind of his own. After checking the system, he went straight to bath and prepare for class.
Entering class and moving to his seat, Naruto greet him
"Hey Hiruko good morning!"
" Good morning Naruto! You seem happy what's up? "
" Nothing of sorts, I'm just happy that I get to practice the multiple shadow clone jutsu. "
" Really now? So how's your progress then?"
"Better than I expected. I practiced it all night and now I can summon like a 100 shadow clones." Naruto said laughing while scratching the back of his head the same time.
Hiruko wasn't surprised because he already knew about the fact that Naruto stole the scroll of sealing and practice the jutsu in one night and was able to perfect it too. He now just need to let Naruto use it for a while before teaching him Boruto's technique.
"Hey Naruto, it's good that you manage to master it but you still have to use it for a while so that you can get used to it and also I'll tell you something at our usual spot when class is over. "
" Can't wait. " It wasn't long after that, Iruka sensei walked into the class then stand in front of them to make an announcement.
"Hey kids, I have an announcement to make. Today there will be no class however, you will be taking your field test today..... " he wasn't even finished he can start hearing some mummur and grumbles from the crowd of students.
" Listen, all of you better take this seriously because the hokage himself will be here to watch all of you in action and also your performance today will also help with your final grade so this is an opportunity for you all."
" Iruka sensei, what if you fail the test? what will happen then."
" Oh, you don't have to worry about that. It won't affect your final grade but it also means that those who pass will have extra scores on their result on the final grade of graduation."
" So what exactly is this test sensei?"
" It's going to be a team test. A team of three will complete a challenge together under one minute, once you complete it your team will be given bonus score by the hokage but for those who fail, they won't get any score. And also know that win or fail sometimes doesn't matter, it's your overall performance that really matter in this situation. So with that let us move to the training area for the test.
With everything said, the whole class starts moving. Naruto came to Hiruko to ask about something.
"Hey Hiruko, what do you think this test will be?" Naruto asked curiously
"Why? don't tell me you're getting cold feet Naruto!" Hiruko joking answers back with a smile.
" What me scared! No way! The future hokage never get scared of a silly test. I was just curious that's all."
" I don't know what the test is but I can assure you that it won't be easy and don't forget we are to complete it in one minute. Naruto, my only advice for you is that no matter what if any of your teammates is in danger save them and forget about the test.."
" What? but what about the score we are suppose to get?"
" Forget about the score Naruto. The most importantly thing to a shinobi during a mission, is making sure the lives of their comrades is guaranteed. So make sure they are ok before trying to complete your mission."
" But everyone can protect themselves right, why should I bother saving them. If they are weak and keep forcing them self on a mission, won't they just be a burden."
" I understand what you mean but just listen to me. There will be a time when you need help, it will be them who might save your life and by then if won't matter whether they are weak or not they will still do it."
" I see. Thanks for the advice Hiruko"
" You're welcome." It was long after their conversation they've arrived at the area and looking at the equipments laid around, one can already understand what it is that they want them to do and also just like their sensei told them, the third hokage is there to watch them.
"Alright now that we are here, we can start right away so as to not waste any time."
One by one, groups of three are called to take the test. There is a machine at the centre that shout out little stones and the students are tasked to dodge it while making their way toward the finish line which is a tall mud wall which they have to climb over in other to complete the test. But it's not easy as my team messed up half way or perhaps close to the finish line. There are also those that have passed the test and just like their sensei told them, they have been given points by the third hokage who is watching from the side line.
The test gone on for a while untill Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura named were called to take the test. Naruto was happy that he's in the same team as Sasuke and not Hiruko while Sakura on the other hand is happy to be in the same team as Sasuke. Hiruko wish Naruto good luck before he went to the starting point for the test.
After a short while their test began. Naruto along with Sakura and Sasuke went forward and unlike the other teams, they were doing exceptionally well; well it was more like Naruto and Sasuke were doing well as Sakura was struggling to keep up with them. After a while, they were at the end. Sasuke has already leap up the mud wall and was almost at the too with Naruto closely behind him but then they heard a scream as Sakura was falling to the ground.
Naruto stopped and was looking down then he looked up again and saw Sasuke was still going up then he turned to look at Hiruko then he remembered what Hiruko told him about saving the life of his comrade rather than focus on the mission. It wasn't long after that train of thought hit him, he let go and was now coming down. He placed his two hands together then used the shadow clone jutsu to make four copies of himself which surprised everyone including the hokage himself.
Naruto's classmates knows that he can't do the cloning jutsu but here he was able to do it. But the hokage and other shinobi's around were surprised for a different reason and it was the fact that Naruto make solid clone and not holograms and they knew that Naruto wasn't able to even get the cloning technique done so how was he able to do the shadow clone jutsu. But what amazed everyone was what happened next.
Naruto throw one of the clone toward Sakura whom catches her in the air, spin around then throw her back up towards Naruto before they hit the ground. Naruto caught her before his clones started gathering wind on there palm and it looks like they are getting ready to perform something. Hiruko watch can tell what Naruto was doing but he was confused because he hasn't teach Naruto the technique yet so how did Naruto know about it and even practice it.
Naruto with Sakura land on his clone hands that were gathering the wind then using that forec, he pushed upward even passing Sasuke who have already reached the top but haven't head down yet. Naruto and Sakura hit the ground but Naruto used his body to shield Sakura from the impact from the fall with Sakura on top of him while he was on the ground. Everyone was in shocked as to what happened even Sasuke who thought he would be first didn't know how both Naruto and Sakura passed him and took first.
Sakura opened her eyes only to find Naruto under her and looked to be injured from the impact of the fall.
" Naruto are you okay?" Sakura asked worriedly
" I'm fine Sakura don't worry. But please get off me now." Sakura hurriedly get up off him and helped him up then few of the shinobi's who were watching came to Naruto to check up on him to see if he had any injuries and thankfully he only have scratch and nothing too serious so it was fine and after a few more check up on him and also a few other teams, it was down to the last three students Hiruko, Hotaru and Sai.
