Chapter 6: Ch 6:- Recovering memory(Re-written)
After entering his dorm room Rayne noticed that his room was quite plain and big with only a single bed at the corner and a bathroom at the other side of the room. To be honest he thinks that the room was spacious enough to hold at least two king sized bed and there would still be space to roam around.
As Rayne started to unpack he noticed that there was no wardrobe to actually hold his belongings at that time he noticed that his bed have a handle so he pulled it and there was actually a storage function to the bed so he neatly arranged and kept his belonging in there.
After unpacking he noticed that he still has about 3 hours before the night curfew starts so he decided to take a trip to the library and he was not much surprised to actually see Quinn already there studying a huge pile of book. I noticed Vorden and greeted him like any other gentlemen would do. after that he started to drift towards the history section to gain some knowledge about this words history and picked up a random book and skimmed through it for all some of the history were same but for some reason I couldn't seem to find stuff related to mythology it was like they never existed.
He then went to the Geography section to look at the world map to get a general idea of how the world look and he was surprised at his finding because it was different but at the same time not much different if someone were to ask him to arrange all the continent in it's previous state then he think that he would have the same world map as his previous world's. After his initial discovery he decided to look into this ability and beast thing so he roamed around the library and found two book of his interest which were 'How ability came into existence and 'Beast Theory' after picking them he made a beeline to the place Quinn was sitting at and greeted them.
After I finished reading about ability i overheard what the duo was conversing about with Vorden starting the conversation.
"What's with all the books, are you looking for something in particular?"
And it seemed to be that Quinn was thinking what to say but he asked Vorden as he is quite knowledgeable about abilities.
"I was trying to decide what ability to get since I turned down the school's offer."
"Oh right, I forgot about that, I thought you might have been one of those Pure members who hate abilities. Turns out you just didn't want to be a dog to the military." Vorden replied, "Well is there anything specific you're looking for?"
"Not really, I have no clue. There was one that said something interesting though, have you ever heard of an ability that is weaker in sunlight."
Vorden suddenly started to laugh out loud.
"What are you crazy, I've never heard of something like that. Abilities are something our bodies learn. Sure some people have limits and can't learn stronger spells or can do less than others but for one to get weaker because of the sun. Sounds like you're a Vampire or something."
After hearing Vorden's reply Rayne also became suspicious of Quinn as he had seen him act uncomfortably in sunlight but let it go a started his study about beast crystal and beast origin after some time he started to feel tired so he decided to return to his room but before crashing to the bed he decided to take shower as he was taking his cloth of he saw in the mirror how he didn't have a single abs if anything he was disappointed how in both lives he didn't have any.
After freshening up he crashed on the bed and immediately fell asleep. As he fell asleep inside his dream which was dark endless void like space he was standing in front of an individual who looks exactly just like him and was also smiling which was actually creeping him out.
Rayne asked as politely as possible"Sir where are we and why do you look exactly like me and who are you?"
The doppelganger didn't say anything and started to move forward until he was only a few inches away from Rayne he spoke his first words which was "I am you." Saying that he burst into motes of light and rushed into his head at lightning speed seeing this Rayne started to panic and finally the space wasn't dark at all it started to play images like in a planetarium staring from third perspective about how a child was formed and how it was born at that time the perspective all of a sudden shifted to first person and he saw what it was supposed to be this bodies he saw how he was raised then all the memory of Dalki attack and how he spend time with his brother as it came to the present moment and it finally ended there.
He woke up at around 6:35 AM covered in cold sweats he noticed how much wet he was so he decided to take a early morning bath to clear his mind about all the memory he just experienced.
As he was showering another unfamiliar sound appeared in his mind and a screen popped up in front of him.
