Chapter 21: Aftermath
"Say cheese!!!" Otonashi shouted happily while holding Isagi's phone.
*Kachak!!!*
"It's done!" She shouted. Isagi chuckled and looked at Endou who was wrapping his right arm around Kidou's shoulder. Endou pulled back his right hand and he and Kidou shook hands.
"It's nice playing with you guys, I hope we get to play again." Endou told Kidou. Kidou smiled a little while shaking Endou's hand. His whole team was behind him. Endou had his teammates standing behind him as well.
Isagi went up and started shaking hands with every single player on Teikoku's side.
Otonashi took the chance to take more pictures.
"Are you competing in the Football Frontier?" Kidou asked Endou. Endou grinned.
" Of course we are! Are you? " Endou asked back. Kidou smirked.
" Get ready for a challenge. You won't be so fortunate the next time. " Kidou mocked. Endou laughed.
" Oh we're going to be a challenge alright. Don't cry when you lose." Endou mocked back. Kidou snorted and shook his head. He looked back at his team.
"Come on! Let's go!" Kidou ordered. His teammates nodded and they walked back to the giant bus. Isagi and Endou watched their backs as they entered the bus.
"We got to have a bus like that on day." Isagi whispered to Endou. Endou smirked.
"We have to prove ourselves first. And that starts now." Endou replied to him. Isagi looked at Gouenji.
"I gotta go. You guys rest. See you in the evening." Isagi waved goodbye at Endou who returned the waved energetically.
Isagi arrived beside Gouenji who was walking away from the field.
" Hey man. Why are you so sad? We just gave the people a show. " Isagi asked him. Gouenji looked at him.
'Should I tell him. He seems like a trustworthy guy. ' Gouenji stayed silent for a while and looked forward. They continued walking.
" What will you do when one of your family gets into an accident when you're playing in a football match? " Gouenji asked.
" I would be concerned and anxious. But I also will not let that distract me from winning. But that's easier said than done. " Isagi answered him.
" If that family member got into an accident while I'm in the middle of the match, I would play in their name. You get what I'm saying. If I win, I win for said family member. What are you trying to say here? " Isagi pried for more answers. Gouenji looked down.
"Last year, Before the finals in the Football Frontier, I was going to play for Kidokawa Seishuu. We were playing Teikoku Gakuen. My sister, Gouenji Yuuka wanted to cheer for me. Before the match even started, she got into a car accident. When I heard the news I rushed to the hospital. "Gouenji clenched his fist.
" She's been in a coma for a year now. Since I didn't play in the match Kidokawa Seishuu lost. Ever since then, I blamed myself for that accident happening to Yuuka. If I hadn't played, that wouldn't have happened.... " Gouenji muttered. Isagi listened intently.
" Tell me Isagi, how can I simply relax and play football when she is suffering?" Gouenji looked at him. Isagi sighed and patted his shoulder.
" You haven't thought about the bright side of this, at least she's alive and breathing right in front of you. I don't know much about her, but based on what you said, the fact that she wanted to cheer for you shows how much she supported you becoming a soccer player. " Isagi told him. Gouenji narrowed his eyes.
" When she wakes up and finds out about you quitting the sport, imagine the look of sadness and shock on her face. She would start blaming herself for getting into an accident." Isagi continued. Gouenji clenched his fists tightly.
"I might be exaggerating. But don't play soccer for yourself, play it for your sister. She would want you to continue playing. " Isagi patted Gouenji on his back.
"She wouldn't be mad about it, Gouenji. Just follow your dreams and stop worrying about her every second. She'll be alright, she's in good hands." Isagi walked away leaving a stunned Gouenji.
Gouenji stared at the ground for a while. He started walking to Inazuma General Hospital.

*Ring Ring!!!!*
Isagi picked up his phone.
'Kotaro Tokuda.'
Isagi accepted the call and put the phone on loudspeaker mode.
"Kotaro-san!! How's it going?" Isagi asked him with a grin.
"I heard about your match with Teikoku. Did you post about that?" Kotaro asked on the other side of the call.
"It just went live. What do you want to call about?" Isagi asked while munching on a banana the monke way.
"I'm assembling a team of street footballers and I want to invite you into it. " Kotaro offered. Isagi was intrigued.
"Tell me more about this idea that you have." Isagi told him.
"The team has me, Peter, Jay and potentially you if you want to join." Kotaro answered him.
"Jay? I thought he still had his leg injuries?" Isagi was confused.
"Jay-san is already rehabilitated and is regaining his style. The guy is a human cyborg." Kotaro laughed. Isagi smiled and threw the banana peel into the garbage can.
" What about Rev and Syd?" Isagi asked him.
" They quit J10. " Kotaro answered. Isagi smirked.
"Not surprising..... I'm in. When's the team meeting? " Isagi asked him.
"The day after tomorrow. I'll send the location later. We have some big plans to make a name for ourselves. And it starts in Amsterdam. " Kotaro revealed mysteriously. Isagi nodded.
" That's great. But I have to go now Kotaro-san. See you on Tuesday." Isagi replied to him.
" See you. "
*Du!!*
Isagi got up and looked at Endou who was running towards him." Hey Isagi. " Endou greeted Isagi with a smile. Isagi nodded to him.
"Do you think that the board will pay the entrance fee to the Football Frontier? " Endou asked.
" If they don't, let's just say that the chairman's limo will be missing a few tyres. " Isagi answered. Endou laughed.
" We played well today. " Endou continued the conversation.
" Not everyone, Endou. We need to improve quickly before the Football Frontier starts. " Isagi told them. Endou nodded seriously.
"We'll have to make daily practice a necessity now." Endou muttered.
" If they don't comply then they're out of the team. We don't want lazy and unmotivated people in the Raimon Soccer Club." Isagi muttered with him.
" Speaking of which, I did not expect two people to quit the team on the spot. " Endou looked at him. Isagi shrugged.
" What's done is done. If they even try to join back we'll just slam the door in their faces." Isagi replied and threw the ball towards Endou.
"Let's stop talking about this for now, we need to improve your God Hand first. Let's go!
