Chapter 2: Chapter 2: dungeon acceleration

"I will become a fantasy world," he said, but in the next moment, he was perplexed.

He looked at his body. He scanned the whole world and was confused the next.

"Where is my dungeon core?"

From his new found knowledge, he knows that the basic structure of a dungeon. And one of the most basic is the simple dungeon core. The core would be situated in the middle of the last floor of a dungeon. In his case, it would be this very floor since he only had one floor.

But... "Where is it?"

It was not there. The dungeon core of a dungeon was like it's heart. It was the dungeon soul. The main control center of the dungeon. Without it...

"Am I a defect?"

He was really not sure. Although he did not have a core, he seemed to be fine. So maybe it was okay. In fact it would be for the best. After all, a dungeon core is the weakness of a dungeon. Once the core is held, the weilder gains control of said dungeon. Once destroyed, the dungeon disappears too.

So him who doesn't have a core...

"Aren't I truly immortal then? Can't die, can't be killed. Im immortal!"

His voice then suddenly slowed down.

"I'm not immortal."

One of his memories suddenly came to mind. In this memory, he saw a burly figure with a sword in hand. This figure used his sword and cut down space.

He cut down space!

The dimension he was in turned to fragments. As though it was a mirror that got broken.

As a dungeon, he is a being of the second dimension. He is a piece of the second dimension. Becoming one with the second dimension. Since the burly figure can cut space itself, doesn't that mean he could cut him too?

"Why are there so many powerful people in this world?"

First it was the burly figure, then many other people showed up in his mind. All of them seem to be able to kill him in different ways. When he started to actively seek how people could kill him, he saw many strong people one of them was the Primordial dungeon.

The Primordial dungeon was known as the first dungeon in existance. The most powerful and biggest dungeon to date. The dungeon was so big that it could fit a galaxy inside.

"What the f..."

Not only was this dungeon big, it had a specialty different from other dungeons.

It can gove birth to other dungeons. Because of this, it was often called the Mother dungeon.

As of current, this mother dungeon was sealed by many more powerful figures. They sealed the Mother dungeon and used it as a portable world.

He then looked at his body and though of the Mother dungeon's size.

"I couldn't possibly be able to fit a galaxy in this place can i?"

When he thought of this, he suddenly felt a little afraid. More information was slowly processed by him.

"Dungeons are so pitiful."

From his information, he found out that most dungeons are found and enslaved. Used as tool to make armies or used as houses.

"Damn. Some of them are even used as toilets..."

After all, the dungeons are able to eat pretty much anything. Waste has become a problem for may civilisations in the universe. If it's isn't crap metal, then it's unwanted poisonous material. So some civilisations figured that they might as well use dungeons as waste dump eaters.

"I don't want to be a toilet."

He then came to a conclusion.

"I have to get stronger."

As a dungeon, his actual strength is low. Well, that is if you compare him to the strong figures in his memories. His real strength is actually very strong. If a nuclear bomb was to be set of in his body, he would probably just feel a stinging pain.

He has power, but his power is very restricted. There are certain laws that prevent him from using his strength.

Anyway, in the end, he needs dungeon summons to protect him. He must create monsters to live in his body. To protect him if he is ever invaded by outsiders. This was his only way to survival.

But he was once again perplexed.

"Where is my monster template?"

Normally, a dungeon is meant to have monster template in their minds. This template would show the biological structure of a certain monster. Things like heart, blood vessel arrangement, cell growth or gene assortment. This template would have everything. This would enable the dungeon to have the ability to make said monster without a hassle. There would be no need to research or try to understand the monster. There would just be able to summom it as though it was their nature to do so.

Every dungeon upon birth would have a monster template as an inheritance. The master template is like a novice gift pack. The first Pokemon you get before going on an adventure when you turn ten minutes old.

This monster could very well decide their fate.

Well, he also had a monster template. It's just that...

"What the fuck is this?"

It was blue, Round and... that was it. Blue and round.

Don't be mistaken and think it was a slime. This thing was a crystal. So there was no way it could bounce around cutely.

He then felt clearly on what it was. When he peered inside, he was confused.

"This thing is so complex."

If a human body was filled with multiple tissues, organs cells and the like, this thing was like something a child decided to make. It was consisting of multiple elements and things he did not understand. It was like a mash up of potions in a couldron. As though the witch did not feel like living anymore and just decided to mix everything inside. Hoping it could make potent enough poison.

One part of it looked incomprehensible and incoherent, but in another it had a pattern to it.

"What is this? And why does it need so much energy."

He had checked the origin energy needed to make the creature. It was huge. If it was just alot, it would be fine.

"But why does it match the amount I have now."

As a newborn, his newby gift pack includes origin energy to start of with a few monsters. But his amount was only able to make one of these blue things.

It was not that his origin energy was low, in fact, it was high, its just...

"It's so expensive."

But with its high price, he was curious. He wanted to know what this thing truly is.

"Well, it's not like I have any other template on me."

He could try and make his own species, but without the relevant knowledge, never mind a whole species he would be lucky to make something that is alive.

So that is a no go.

One must know that making monsters for a dungeon isn't as instantaneous and simple as the novels portrayed. The creatures that dungeons make are flesh and blood organisms. They won't disappear when you kill them. A tooth won't be left when they die. They need components. And the best way to find components is by eating them.

New species come in dungeons and die in dungeons. These dead bodies eaten by dungeons are used as learning materials to to understand and replicate their body structure. So contrary to common belief it's not really weird to find human in a dungeon.

But this is not a method he could use now. No human or creature would just deliver itself to him to die and be eaten by him.

"I can only make this... whatever it is."

So beneath the rocks and soil. Far deep in the ground, a section of rock turned blue. Not just blue, the whole thing turned into a liquid. Blue luminous liquid that was very viscous.

This liquid was condensed form of mana. Or better said as magic energy.

This liquid was where all the magic of a dungeon happens. The part where creation occurs. In this film of liquid, he could construct and form anything he wishes.

The liquid was very condensed but it did not turn into a crystal or a solid form. This was only due to his intervention and the high amount of energy constantly revolving in it.

He willed and changed the form of this liquid. Soon forming a near perfect spherical ball. The sphere had many tendrils connecting to it. Thus looking like some sort of alien egg. As if to perfect the image of an alien egg, the sphere pulsed now and then.

With the outer shape done, the real work begun.

Using the tendrils, he then injected a new form of energy.

Origin energy.

This energy can be described as faint gray smoke like form that seem to fade in and out of reality.

It was as though With a single blow, it would vanish out of existence. But this very energy was the most powerful and most sought after form of energy.

Although there are other forms of energy that are similar like life energy and divine energy, they just couldn't compare to origin energy. Simple because these forms of energy can be used only in their respective paths or area of law. While origin energy can do everything and anything.

It was the perfect power.

Unfortunately or fortunately, only dungeons have this power. And even they are restricted when using it.

He only had a certain amount of this energy, so he could not waste even a small bit of it. As such, he started to focus intently while directing the energy.

The first part of creating the creature was a bit simple but yet very hard. If he was to describe It, he would say it was like forming an arranging bones and tissues of an organism together. Although it is easy because he had the monster template to copy from, it was still not easy.

Even with the template, he took a whole hour to finish the first step.

"How did dungeons make monster like they were pooping them in novels? If it takes so long to make this, how long would it take to make a dragon?"

But he still underestimate the ball creature he was making.

The second part was even harder. If the first part was like arranging bones and tissues, this part was no different from making multiple specific special organs of an organism. He at this point did not even understand most of what he was even making. He just followed the template and copied... whatever he was making.

The whole process took him a whole day!

Although it took a long time to make It, he was not tired or fatigued. He suspected that it was because of the physique of the dungeon that he was still so energised. If he was still human, he might have passed out.

After he was finished with the second part, he still had a third part.

At the third part he understood absolutely nothing. He just became a copying machine. Copy and implement.

The third part was even harder. If he was to describe It, he would say it was no different from arranging the cells of an organism. One must know that a human has billions of cells. Many differing from each other in both function an form. He had to distinguish and arrange them around the body.

After a whole month, he exhaled.

"This is taking too long."

He was not done!

The third part was not even complete. He had only done roughly about 40%.

He then started to get anxious. Dungeons normally don't take this long making a creature. Even if the the dungeon was dumb, it would take only a single hour making a creature according to the template.

"Am I a defect?"

He was afraid. Not just afraid that he was a dumb dungeon, but that invaders may come in!

One must know that dungeons are always invaded my humans or other creatures from the third dimension. Although he did not open a dungeon gate, others may open them and link it to him anyway. Dungeons don't always take the initiative to enter a world. Sometimes, they are the ones who are attacked.

So if he, who doesn't have a single monster, was no different from a chicken on a plate. A chicken that was marinating itself!

So he was anxious.

"I have to have to be quick!"

But he was afraid of making mistakes. Making him worried even more, But suddenly something changed.

His speed at making the creature doubled.

"I accelerated? No... this is time."

On close inspection, he noticed that he had actually sped up time!

"How is that..."

He was confused. As a dungeon, time flowed faster in him that the third dimension. He had alredy known this from his knowledge. Normally, the time was two times faster than the third dimension. Some dungeons are born special and may be three or even ten times faster. But these dungeon have no control over this. If you were born two times faster, you are two times faster. There was no changing it at all.

"Yet..."

Time accelerated.
