Chapter 4: Chapter 4 Divorce Within Seven Days
She got up in a hurry and was still wearing the shirt he threw on the ground yesterday. Her shoulders were half exposed and there were hickeys on her fair skin.
The memories of last night flooded into Lucas's mind. Feeling hot in his throat, he looked away.
"I'll give you a week." he stood up and said in a low voice, "I want to see your divorce certificate in a week."
The black car ran steadily on the road.
Sitting in the back seat, the pain of the hangover was still lingering on her. Thinking of what Lucas had said, she had a headache.
It was like a dream. In just one night, she found that her husband had an affair with her secretary, and in a flash, she had slept with her partner. And he asked her to divorce within seven days?
It was too dramatic.
But... Ashley's face darkened. Even without Lucas’s help, she would still divorce Mr. Jake.
He and Kate didn't take her seriously at all. Why did she insist on such a marriage?
But if they divorced, she would never let go of Jake!
The car soon stopped in front of the gate of the Jake family's villa.
This villa was bought under the name of Jake after she signed a contract not long after they got married. After the villa was decorated, he moved in with his whole family.
After tidying up her clothes, she pushed the door open and came in.
"Oh, madam, you are finally back."
Stepping into the door, the nanny shouted in a strange tone, hoping that the people in the room could hear her. "Mrs. Ashley, where did you go last night? Why didn't you come back the whole night?"
Ashley ignored her and changed into his shoes.
In the hall, Jake's mother and sister were watching the TV drama, and Mr. Jake had just come downstairs.
"Ashley, where did you go last night? Why do you come back so late?" seeing her, the man in the breeze city quickly walked over. "I called you last night, but you didn't answer. I'm really worried."
Clenching her fists, she tried her best to hold back her anger and didn't ask what he had done with Kate last night. With a smile, as usual, she said, "Nothing. I was too tired after the banquet last night and slept in the hotel."
"But I saw the moments of several colleagues of your company last night. They said they didn't see you."
Jessie winked at Ashley, trying to stir up trouble.
Hearing this, Jake's mother pulled a long face and sneered, "Someone will be restless if she can't give birth to a baby by herself. You have to watch her."

Ashley listened expressionlessly.
She knew that the whole Jake family didn't like her.

After waiting downstairs for more than ten minutes, Mr. Jake still followed them with worries.
Last night in the car, it was Kate who seduced him on purpose. He couldn't help but mess around with her in the car. After that, he regretted it very much. He didn't expect that Ashley didn't come back the whole night.

"Why should I be surprised? It's not that I can't dress like this." She flipped her long hair and said, "Do you think I look good in this way?"
"Yes, you are. You are always the most beautiful woman in my heart." he moved forward and said, "No matter what you wear, I like it." Then he lowered his head and wanted to kiss her.
Ashley's smile deepened, but his heart was desolate. When he was about to kiss her, she turned her head to avoid it. "You always coax me."
"It's all true." Mr. Jake held her hand with tenderness in its eyes.
Ashley's smile almost couldn't hold on any longer. "Well, I believe you. But I have to go to the company now. I have a lot of things to do."
Then she pushed him away and left in her high heels.
Ignoring their sarcastic remarks, she drove back to the company.
As soon as they entered the door, the employees' eyes suddenly became amazing.
Ashley had always been an old woman in the company for so many years. Now she changed her style and was still so beautiful. Everyone was shocked!
"Is this Mrs. Ashley? Oh my God, am I right?"
