Chapter 54: Friends
The Language class was far from boring, but with the standard Wei Yang had set, the students weren't into the lesson and Miss Ki noticed. She stopped the lesson and decided to tell jokes instead.
After some funny jokes which lightened the class atmosphere, she decided it was time to receive some praises from the students. "Who is your favourite teacher?" She was hoping to hear her name because she had heard rumours that class five liked her the most.
"Wei Yang!" Chorused the entire class. The stunned Miss Ki turned to look at Wei Yang who appeared to be taken aback for a second before returning her gaze to her book.
"Why did you say that? Wei Yang is not a teacher but a student" She said, hiding her embarrassment.
"Wei Yang taught us mathematics today and she is the best teacher we have ever seen. She will be teaching us mathematics from now on" An over excited girl said.
"Really?" Miss Ki asked, her interest piqued.
"Yes" Chorused the whole class.
"That's amazing, I would love to see her teach one of these days" She looked at Wei Yang with expectations. She wanted to see why she was put on such a high pedestal.
After the bell rang for closing, the students took their bags and left class after saying one or two words to their new math teacher.
Mo Lang and Qi Jun waited for Wei Yang to finish packing her books before walking over. "How is he?" Asked Mo Lang
It took Wei Yang seconds for her brain to register what he meant. "He is fine. Thank you for today"
"It's no big deal. Can we visit him at the hospital? What hospital is he at?" Ask Qi Jun
"He is not at the hospital, he is receiving treatment at home" Wei Yang said.
Qi Jun and Mo Lang looked at each other. They didn't pry her for reasons and walked out of the class together.
"It's fine if you want to visit, but that won't be possible today" she said.
"No problem, we have time tomorrow" Mo Lang said.
Wei Yang stared at him for a while before saying "Ok" she walked forward.
"We are heading to the gate too, let's walk together" offered Qi Jun.
Wei Yang had no problem with that so they went on while talking.
Lu Yan who was in the car waiting for Wei Yang saw her coming with Qi Jun laughing and Mo Lang smiling at something Wei Yang said. She balled her fist tightly and loosened it. "Relax, It's nothing, they are classmates. Don't let what Lu Rong said get to you" she told herself softly.
"Sister!" She waved at Wei Yang from the car with her head stuck out if the window and gave her signature smile which made her look cute, harmless and beautiful.
Qi Jun felt disgusted and stopped walking, so did Mo Lang. "Wei Yang, see you tomorrow" they said and Wei Yang responded with a low grunt.
She got into the car and Lu Yan asked her. "Sister are you friends with Mo Lang and Qi Jun now?"
Wei Yang turned her gaze at her and scrutinized her for about five seconds before replying "Hm"
