Chapter 93: Not Prey, Not Meat

"I'm not your prey, my love. Nor am I just a piece of meat." 

Alistair chuckled as he closed the distance between them. He gently caressed her cheek as he gazed into her eyes. 

"You're more like a smokey piece of meat. Takes a long time to perfect but comes out tasting so good," his words were smooth like honey and Sierra was living for it. 

She could not help but laugh. 

"A Smokey piece of meat? Is that how the King of Drakin picks up women? With such sizzling lines?"

"It's only reserved for those who are smoking hot," he played along. 

Both of them burst out laughing. Their laughter filled the void of silence, echoing into the night. 

"I'm not even wearing anything that would count me as 'smoking hot' so I don't know what you're talking about," Sierra replied.
