In a lavishly decorated room among the dirty and simplistic man-made dungeon, a man appeared to be sitting on a luxurious chair in front of an equal red-clothed table.
He elegantly picked up the teacup along the ceramic plate resting below it and gently sipped it. The mysterious man seemed to savour its taste. However, his straight and proper posture remained unaffected. The man had perfect manners, befitting of a noble.
[Dionysus- Lvl?]
The supposed mysterious man was a god. But not just any god, it seems. On top of his head was a pointed black hat, and a mask covered his face: a black and white mask. The black cloak he had on covered all his features, and it had over a dozen different masks decorating it. Dionysus seemed to have completed the look he went for with black leather gloves, along with just as equally black boots. Going by his wardrobe choices, Dionysus seemed to be quite the eccentric individual.
"Hello, Mr. Dix. How has your day been going?" he slowly said, looking at the other man that entered his 'chambers'.
"Tsk. I don't have time for this, Enyo… Just focus on your tea like the proper gentleman you are." annoyingly, said the other man. Dix never liked the proper way Enyo handled himself, the shelved sense of superiority hidden behind his gaze didn't help as well.
'Enyo?'
I looked around the extravagant room. It was fully carpeted with large high-quality red rugs. The floor was wooden as well, unlike the hard stone one from before. There was even a chandelier in the middle of the ceiling. I could see no other person in here, and no one made an entrance or anything of the sort.
The only possible conclusion was that this supposed 'Enyo' is the god Dionysus. My appraisal never lied to me.
"As rowdy as usual." Enyo chuckled. "Is everything ready?"
"Yes, you bastard. But I'm telling you, I'm NOT entering there."
It was strange seeing Dix like that. I couldn't claim to have known him on a personal level, but what little observation that I did. He was not a usually serious person, opting to be as sarcastic as possible whenever given the chance.
It seemed like a big deal.
"Hehe." Enyo laughed softly at Dix's reaction. "Fear not. I wouldn't even ask you to accompany me. You wouldn't bode well there..."
Whether that was an insult or a piece of simple advice was left to the ears of the beholder. However, it appears that Dix didn't take it as ridicule.
"I know, you bastard…" he muttered lowly. The tone that he used confused me even further.
"No matter, It appears we need to move on." calmly said 'Enyo'.
Dix nodded at that.
—
I was stealthily following them as usual, and they were none the wiser. Unlike the surface floor that Dix used as makeshift torture chambers. The man-made dungeon started to gain an appearance uncanny to the real deal. The floors were just as huge, easily rivalling a quarter the size of Orario. The strangest part was the materials, it was all made from high-class materials. Admittedly, not all walls were constructed of pure Orichalcum or Adamantine like the surface floors, but it was close enough.
I judged that it must be a 70/30 alloy in the favour of Adamantine. The funds that must have been required to construct something like that are frankly astronomical. All sorts of methods must have been made to properly construct it. Never mind the obvious human— or rather— monster trafficking…
It was true that I hated the way they went about it and this supposed curse that gets passed along each generation. But I had no choice but to praise their ancestor's ingenuity, the man must have been an unparalleled genius to come up with this.
I still had no idea why he did that besides the obvious wish of overcoming the real dungeon. I had a feeling it went beyond a simple wish. So far, this world has been anything but simple...
"This is where I head out." unassumingly, said Dix to Enyo.
There was a huge number above yet another entrance: 11.
If one thing I could add was how all the floors were empty. So while it did take a long amount of time to arrive here, It would not even compare to how long the real deal was with all the time wasted fighting the monsters.
Enyo nodded at that as he watched Dix's back fade away into the darkness.
"How about you show yourself, friend." An androgynous voice reverberated across the surroundings.
It couldn't have been Enyo. I was constantly observing him, so it had to be someone else. In fact, a bright green hue seemed to cover him for protection right after the voice spoke.
*Swoosh*
Utilising my instincts to their utmost potential, I managed to barely sidestep a sword throw directly aimed at my temples.
My heart rate sped up majorly, yet I was able to fully keep my cool under what could have been a fatal strike. I was sure that the person behind that voice could not fully sense me. Things would have been much different otherwise. My ear still rang from the force of the throw…
"Huh?" the voice's confusion was apparent.
Enyo, however, was very much alarmed. Although it appears that he knew the owner of the voice by how he seemed to be retreating in the direction of the incoming throw and not away from it.
"What is happening, Ein?!" he stressed.
On command, a figure announced itself. The person had a long violet robe that reached all the way to the floor. Although, it was apparent that it was a female, at least going by the small cleavage I could see.
An eerie purple and pink mask hid her expression. That mask must have been the reason for the androgynous voice that came out despite the clear gender of the individual.

The first thing that naturally captured my attention was her insane stats... But I understood everything once I read the extra information next to her name.
'Mature creature...'
She must be one of those individuals that consume magic stones for strength. I could still remember some supposed scene of one of their kinds fighting with the Loki Familia. I imagine they must at least be this strong.
"I apologise, It was my mistake. I could have sworn I sensed something over there.." she paused yet again, looking right at the place I was at. I made sure to make extra efforts at concealing myself. If she could barely sense me before, then she must have a really hard time now.
She shook her head." It must have been the wind."
Enyo frivolously waved his hands at her evident concern. "It is impossible for anyone other than us to enter here…. Expect the current successor that is…"
"I wouldn't worry about it."
Ein looked unconvinced, but she seemed to take his advice rather seriously. His words appeared to be a holy script to her. I could see her eyes shining through the mask.
"Of course, you are right. Lord Dionysus,"
