Chapter 37: Nebraska (Graviton II) Part 2
Alex Wayne POV
We started to load the children into the quinjet when I realized that we barely fit in the ship.
Looks like when I pick up the remaining children, I'll have to find other transportation.
Natasha noticing my concern says:
"Don't worry, thanks to you Fury knows that there are infiltrators in SHIELD, that's why he doesn't mind lending you a bigger quinjet to move around with the children."
Well, that's suspicious. Knowing Fury, I know he won't do a favor if he doesn't get something in return.
So, I ask her:
"What does he want in return?"
"That in the future if he has problems, he wants you to help him" answers Natasha.
After thinking it over, I accept but on the requirement that the children are not involved.
Natasha agreed to my requirement and the Captain told me he would see for it.
When I was going to talk to the children a little girl speaks loudly for everyone on the quinjet to hear. What she said was:
"Someone is coming, it's a mutant, it's strong"
The girl who spoke is called Maria and her mutant power is the ability to sense nearby mutants and know if they were powerful.
That's why when we heard her words, I told Natasha that she will move faster.
When Natasha was going to do what I told her, the quinjet begins to shake and descend. I was going to touch the ship to eliminate the power that controlled it, but after thinking about it I did not do it since everyone in the ship apart from me feels uncomfortable.
When I asked them what was going on, they said they feel like something is pressing on them.
I was going to use my 'Imagine Breaker' on them but the quinjet had landed and the pressure they felt was gone.
Then we heard a voice from outside saying:
"Please get out Captain America and Alex Wayne, Hydra came for what we should have belonged to in the beginning"
Accompanied by Captain and Natasha, I got out of the quinjet while leaving Sharon and Barbara to take care of the children.
When I look in front of me, I recognize two of them, they are the Hydra men Bowman and Bullseye.
And next to them are two people I didn't recognize.
