Chapter 50: Principal Nick

---------------

Sunny High School.

A school focused upon academics...

It was one of the schools where students mainly focused on their studies, this school had a reputation in its area of having the highest selection rate to top colleges in the country.

From the outside, this school looked pretty standard, with two wide buildings painted in mild orange-brown colour. Four floors in each building.

Both of the buildings were joined together by the main building which bulged like a concave mirror, and it seemed to be the main part.

Felix stood in front of the deserted entrance and looked at the school for a moment, taking it all in.

'It looks pretty different from the previous school.'

Felix was ready to enter his new school but there was a problem.

A serious problem...

The gates were closed.

Felix was slightly confused as he didn't expect the gate to be closed down so quickly, like it was only one-third through the first period of school.

'It's just twenty minutes into the first period, it's not like I am too late. Right?"

Knock!

...

Knock!

...

Knock!

...

Felix knocked at the gate a couple of times with a gap between them.

There was no response.

He called out in a slightly loud voice, "Hello? Is anyone on the other side who can let me in?"

...

No response.

No Bloody Response.

'Ugh, why couldn't it be like the school in the previous world? That school didn't care about shit. They were just a school for the sake of its name.'

Felix sighed in annoyance.

'Should I just go home and start school from tomorrow? But... if there is an important event today, then I wouldn't like to be excluded from it.'

...

'Fuck it. I am jumping over the wall. I just hope the principal of this school is not a dickhead like Byuksan's school one. Hmm... Meh, Can't care much about now, let's worry about that kind of thing when it happens.'

Felix walked towards the wall and stood right in front of it. It was around two metres (around 6.6 feet) higher than Felix, so it wasn't that high.

Felix jumped up and grabbed the edge of the wall, he was hanging onto it easily.

Then, he forced his hand against the wall and propelled himself above the wall.

And as he is sitting on it. He could see the area in front of the school bare. There was not a single soul that was there. They could be seen through the windows, studying properly and learning how to become a contributing member of society.

Felix looked beside the gate and could see a guard sleeping on a chair, he had his laid back and was snoring heavily.

'So, that's why I wasn't getting any response, huh? Well, no reason to wake him up. Might as well go to the reception.'

Felix jumped down from the walls stealthily and walked to the reception of the school which was in the middle section of the building.

He opened the door to it and was greeted by a standard and a pretty cliche reception area.

There was a table in front of the Principal's Office and a lady was sitting there, typing on the computer with a hand. She had some kind of drink in her other hand and was sipping on it before she saw Felix entering the reception area.

She was bewildered at first and looked at the clock hung on the wall to check the time, then looked back at Felix with a questioning look.

Felix strolled to her while shamelessly looking around the area with curiosity in his eyes.

She stopped typing and was just waiting expectantly for Felix to come up to the table.

As Felix came up to the table, she had an expectant expression on her face.

Felix said politely, "Uh miss, I am a transfer student here and I was told to inform at the front desk first to confirm things.'

Then she suspiciously went through her computer, she was surprised a bit when she came upon something.

She asked back, "You had to report in at least half an hour before, how are you so late?"

"Uh, well. You know the situation outside? I got stuck in traffic."

She clicked her tongue disapprovingly and said with an apparently disappointed look, "Then you should have taken that into consideration. Should have left earlier so you could reach school at the proper time. This is what is at least expected of a child studying at Sunny High School. Do you understand?"

Felix was kinda confused at this point. As he had just experienced in the previous world, he didn't actually know what was the standard or the discipline needed at schools like these.

She again said loudly, "I repeat, do you understand!?"

"Uh, Yes?", said Felix in an indecisive tone.

Hearing Felix's careless answer, she looked at him incredulously and pointed at him. As she was going to say something, the door to the office behind her opened an old-looking man with sunglasses called out.

"Hey, Karen! You can let the kid in. I will sort out the matter."

Karen, the receptionist squinted her eyes at Felix and sat back down.

The old man did a gesture to call Felix in.

Felix went behind her and entered the office.

He saw the old man sitting in his chair with crossed hands and looking at Felix.

He gestured towards the chair in front of his table and said, "Take a seat."

Felix took the bag off his shoulders and sat in the chair with his bag on his lap.

"Sir, I am the new transfe-"

The old man interrupted in between, "I know that. You don't have to worry. I knew there would be a transfer student coming in."

"Oh, thank you, sir."

"I hope she didn't give you a bad image of this school. She has an amazing set of skills, just that she is... overzealous regarding this school. So, you don't have to take anything she said seriously."

"Of course, I didn't think anything like that. I was just surprised, to say the least."

"I see. How did you enter the school, were the gates closed?"

"Uh well, I just jumped over the walls. It wasn't much anyway."

"Oh, you must be in great shape. I hope you stay fit like this. The younger generation should be like you. I haven't seen many kids in this school being fit. I must talk to the guard as well. I presume he must be sleeping?"

Felix nodded in response. The Principal clicked his tongue in slight annoyance but said with an energetic tone, "I hope you have a good time here in my school, young man."

"Oh, thank you, sir! I wish a pleasant day to you, Principal!"

"Same to you, lad."

As Felix came out of the office and went to the stairs from the reception area, he could feel a prickling glare behind his back.
