A flurry of notifications suddenly reached the inside of my head mostly going over that our Levels were readjusted to match this Magic Knight battle. However, I couldn't even do anything else as the notifications kept coming through.
[Ding! Player Naoto has failed to meet another certain requirement. Player Naoto will now undergo a body reconstruction. Now finding suitable body type...]
'...Did the Gamer System just say I can't use my current body? I mean it makes sense, considering I am still three years old. This is quite unexpected, but I am grateful for it to do this. Plus with time being frozen, I won't have to worry about the outside seeing this body of mine that is currently being constructed.
[Ding! Body construction complete. Now delivering Player's soul to temporary construct. Temporary construct will break down after trial completion, which will allow the Player's soul to return to their original body.]
The moment I received that last notification, my vision blanked out after seeing a blinding white light, one much stronger than the one the one that shone over our bodies a moment ago.
In the next moment, I felt it tug, and it stopped. Soon after my vision returned, but it still caused to let out a groan.
"Ugh..", I said, letting out a groan. However, it was at this moment I heard a voice that didn't seem like it was my voice.
"Eh?", I continued to respond becoming confused at the sound of my own voice. It sounded much deeper. It's pitch was like an adult's voice.
I quickly tried to get my bearing but the moment I tried to take a step I almost fell over. It's not like I didn't feel strength in my legs but quite the opposite, they felt way longer than usual. This caused me to become confused again.
"This reconstructed body....it feels weird, but yet it feels so familiar...", I couldn't help but utter.
"Umu, to think this was within the realm of possibility.", Roselia's voice suddenly reached my ears, saying that. After she did I saw Roselia approach me. She was still in her adult form, but I saw she only matched my shoulders.
Normally, I would only match my height to her waist if I was in my three year old body.
"Why don't I show you your reflection?", Roselia said, only to utter a one word chant, causing a slight reverberation around us. In the next moment a small mirror appeared before me, constructed out of mana.
The moment I looked at my current face, I turned wide in surprise. It was the same Joker-like face I had back in my previous life!
"No way...Did it determine my last body was suitable to complete this trial?", I asked, still in shock.
"That seems tk be the case. Either way, it looks like we still can prepare a bit. Those little dolls haven't activated yet.", Roselia answered me.
"Dolls? Wasn't there just one?"
After saying that, I had a look over at Dreichel's Statue. Sure enough, I could now see three inactive Magic Knights, even though it only seemed to be one from outside that invisible barrier.
"...This first trial looks like it went through some adjustments.", I said, letting out a sigh. "And to think I'd ever see this body again...", I continued to utter softly.
"...Naoto?", A third voice said, revealing Aurelia not too far away. Surprise could be seen seeing a scruffy black haired man about six feet tall. Even Aurelia was shorter than me right now. "What happened to you?", Aurelia tried to ask, still in surprise.
"Hehe, now you are looking more like that iron-willed father of yours. You don't have his eyes though. I also much like you better with that violet hair, it is a rarity amongst men.", A fourth voice said, revealing it to be Ein.
As for Aurelia, she was still dressed in her Thors Military Academy while Ein still wore her custom Church knight attire. But for their weapons, Aurelia was already wielding her Arcadia longsword. This thing was much more massive than her current body frame, and was even bigger than Laura's sword.
Despite that, Aurelia could be seen wielding it with ease as it hoisted over her back.
As for Ein, she could be seen wielding the Church's classic Templar sword. These swords can be quite deadly, as they can stretch and detach into smaller blades as it strikes down their enemy. Not only that, an orbal crossbow could currently be seen on her back, one very similar to what Kevin uses.
"Looks like you two are ready."
"Yup. I would like to ask about this, but I can only assume this is the trial's doing?", Ein decided to ask.
"Pretty much. It'll let me use my Radiant Starlight better too.", I replied with a smile. After that, I retrieved my rapier equipped at my waist, and brought it out of its sheath for the first time.
Seeing the very thin but sturdy blade appear, it's width was about a inch wide. As far as how long it went, the blade was about forty two inches long, or about 3.5 feet tall. If I entered a stance myself, holding the rapier vertically like how Patrick wields his rapier, the blade would reach past my head for about half a foot.
"A good blade.", Aurelia said, seeing my Radiant Starlight. "Enough to where Master Vander would sing praise of it. I myself wish to challenge it. But alas, now is not the time, nor is the place to do so."
"Heh, plus I've just received it before heading to Valflame Palace. It hadn't been long since I've started learning the way of the sword from father either."
"Then we can put our duel on hold. You have plans to enter Thors Military Academy in the future right?"
"That's the plan.", I said, nodding my head at Aurelia.
"Is now really the time to talk about a duel when we have a foe to face in front of us?", Ein replied, retorting us.
"This is also true. But I do have a couple things to check before we begin."
"Is that so?"
"Yeah. The first thing is it looks like this trial readjusted our strengths to match those dolls. That means even you might be able to fight, Master. Don't you feel your strength is weaker now?"
"Now that you've mentioned it...", Roselia said, only to feel her current strength a bit. "This is rather intriguing, isn't it?"
"Yup. I also want to see something myself. I'm going to meditate for a few minutes then we can begin."
"Perhaps I should do the same. It always does well to be in the right state of mind when entering battle."
"Then I will chat with with our mage over here. Just let us know when you two are ready.", Ein said with a smile.
As she did, I sat down cross-legged and placed Radiant Starlight over my lap. I used this excuse to check my re-balanced stats but it looks like Aurelia went along with it. It'll also be good to finally see what this weapon given to me by mother does as well. But the moment I saw both stats, I was at a loss for words...

I've come to learn level ups are pretty flat across each cold steel game, such a surprise. (This has been tested)
And just to re-iterate, these Level 100 stats are only temporary, his true level is still Level 6.
