Chapter 2: She always remembers the past

Everyone says that school is the most comfortable environment, a place where everyone who reaches that age wants to go the most. But as for Bich Quyen, she doesn't see that. Or rather, the feeling of excitement whenever going to school for class, seeing teachers and friends after the months of Tet holidays and summer vacation, for Bich Quyen, is more like a nightmare. To this day, as an eighteen-year-old girl, she still can't forget the trembling, fearful feeling every time she walked to class, where she thought it was hell on earth.

Bich Quyen used to love going to school. She liked the feeling when she met the friends she loved and she loved learning new knowledge. She was also an energetic person who always wanted to contribute to the work of the class school. But that's just the past. Now, Bich Quyen can hardly go back to being such an energetic girl. How funny is this? Some words, some actions can change a person. Actually, Bich Quyen really remembers the person she used to be. But that person was dead in the past, and she could never show up again. It's not natural for Bich Quyen to become like that. Everything has a cause. She still remembered the first day of high school where she lived. The thrill is no less than the first days of the class, along with the joy of seeing friends who left school with me in elementary school. Bich Quyen was so excited, she did not expect her peaceful days would not be the same as before. As a good student herself, she will, of course, be assigned to the school's select class. The moment the principal read the names of the students assigned to the selected class, she stood next to her best friend, expecting to be able to study with the best friend of her life. For some reason, Manh Tuan is not a really good student. His mother isn't taking care of her children, so Tuan has to take care of his little brother. He works at a small shop while studying and owns enough money for study and life. In Tuan's opinion, he could never be in the class of choice because he didn't think he had the essential conditions for studying in that class.

- You're in the class of choice. Excited about what? I don't know what you are thinking of.

Manh Tuan stood next to her, watching his best friend go low up and down, standing still but funny. Bich Quyen heard pouting. What she wanted to hear was never whether she was assigned to the select class or not, but whether she and her best friend would be able to sit in the same class together. But of course, she didn't say this, she just turned her eyes toward the stands, hearing each name read out.

The happiest thing for Quyen is that she has a very close friend, so much so that if someone asks her, "Who is the best friend you have?" she will not hesitate to answer, "Le Manh Tuan." Their two have been best friends since childhood. Bich Quyen can even say that from the time they were in the cradle, they were already friends. This is also because the two families are close to each other. The parents of both families are friends, so the two children are also close to each other from the moment they first met. Quyen and Tuan studied together from kindergarten through later elementary school. In Tuan's eyes, his best friend of the opposite sex is a very smart person, bright and talented. There are things that even Bich Quyen herself does not know that she has, but all of them are seen by him. Sometimes he wondered if God favored his best friend so much that the best was for her. Bich Quyen is not only smart, but she also sings well, actively participating in the activities of the class right from kindergarten. It's all about singing, then acting, everything she tried. Tuan remembers very clearly that a teacher once commented on Bich Quyen like this: "She will be very good. Maybe she will become a famous person in the future. " At that time, he just laughed and felt that the comments were not very wrong. His best friend was a very talented person. A talented person like her, I really don't understand why she chooses to be with someone like him. Standing next to her, he felt himself much less, just like a small person. But Tuan didn't know that Bich Quyen had never compared him to herself because she knew that she was just an ordinary person.

- Hey, you're in the same class as me.

Upon hearing the name "Le Manh Tuan" read on the class list, Bich Quyen turned to gently nudge one towards his waist. Tuan looked at her, the bright eyes of his best friend of the opposite sex shining with joy from deep inside. Bich Quyen has very bright eyes. Even if she is wearing a pair of thick glasses, it does not make those eyes less round. They are always sparkling. He often joked with her that even though Bich Quyen from top to bottom was bad everywhere, only the eyes were beautiful. At times like that, she would pout her lips, saying that she was only a little dark, not so bad. In fact, she doesn't even count as pretty. Because she grew up before her age, her body was a little more covered than her peers. Moreover, Quyen is also counted as a tall girl, which makes her even bolder when standing next to other girls. But Bich Quyen has never been self-deprecating about it. She is always confident in herself. Her appearance is only one of the factors. They are also students, so later she takes care of her appearance. This was probably something God took from his best friend, Tuan guessed. A beautiful, intelligent girl who is rarely cared for. There were times when Bich Quyen stuck her tongue out, said that she did not care about such things. That's all Tuan can do is sigh. All right, her body, whatever she wants.

- Hey! What class do you get?

While the two were talking, suddenly someone came, happily wearing Bich Quyen's shoulders. She looked at the other, and it proved to be Hoang Minh Hong, another friend who studied with her in elementary school. Hong is one of Bich Quyen's close friends. It can also be said that the two are extremely bright, talented, and talented couples. The only thing is, if Bich Quyen is a person who doesn't mind others, Minh Hong always pays attention to these things. Hong always feels that she has to be the best no matter what field she is in.

- It's the same class as you. We'll be in class, well, while we're sitting together.

Hong tapped her friend on the shoulder, then joined the two of them in line to prepare for class. The class they attended was on the third floor of the school's main building. Because the school is a local school, it's very small and has only two classes for each grade, with more than thirty students in one class. That's why the facilities don't meet the entire learning needs of the students. But that's not why the quality of teaching and learning is poor. The school has many students participating in competitions.

Bich Quyen sat down in a chair, the table covered with a thick layer of dust after the summer months when no students studied at the school. The wood around her nose made her feel comfortable. The class's senior mistress was Mrs. Tuyet, a new literature teacher at the school. The first class was nothing, just that the students and teacher were familiar with each other and elected a class staff. When she was in elementary school, Bich Quyen was the class monitor, so by the second year, she also volunteered to be the class leader. Mrs. Tuyet looked at the tall student, only smiling and nodding her head, letting Bich Quyen be the class leader. At that moment, it felt like Quyen's four years of secondary school would have been great. But no one expected it. It turned out that these were all the things that she felt. She never thought that four years of secondary school would become an obsession, a time she never wanted to remember. Every look, every word, every action of each member of the class gradually became psychological ghosts, dragging her until she was an adult. The physical pain is just a few skin wounds, but the obsessions in the heart cannot be rewarded. Until now, in every sleep, Bich Quyen remembered those horrible moments and then woke up in the middle of the night. The past four years were a long time for her; it was like torture. The cold gazes and whispers entered her slumbers. For a long time, Quyen could not sleep well.
