Chapter 6: TO THE MALL
Mary and Wendy were up in Diana's room planning the party that would take place in the mansion the next day. Little Wendy was caught up in the euphoria of being able to convince her dad to let her have a party in the house. she was all smiles and giggles.
Time passed by quickly...
....
After all the planning, the trio decided to go shopping at the mall to get outfits for the party.
Diana, Mary, and little Wendy stepped out of Diana's room and descended the stairs. Diana signaled one of the maids who was passing by to call the butler. She bowed her head in obedience and headed towards the kitchen where the butler was instructing some of the other maids to do their work properly wearing a stern expression, looking as serious as ever.
"Make sure you will be done with that before..."Gilbert was suddenly interrupted by Pamela, the maid who was sent to call the butler.
Gilbert's head snapped to look at the person who had interrupted him while he was giving out instructions to the maids. He was about to say something when Pamela quickly beat him to it and spoke first.
"Lady Diana is calling for you in the living room," she said almost in a haste.
Gilbert sent a sharp glare toward the maid and quietly walked out of the kitchen.
Once Gilbert stepped out of the kitchen, Pamela heaved a deep sigh, this butler was the strictest butler she had ever seen in her entire life of working as a maid. Although she had been working for the Evestons for the past three years, she never got used to this butler and he somehow sometimes scared her to her bones and she was not the only maid that felt that way.
Back in the living room, Gilbert walked towards the large sofa on his right where Lady Diana was waiting for him.
He bowed his head slightly and spoke.
"Lady Diana, you called for me"
"Yes... Gilbert, the girls, and I are heading to the mall to get some outfits for tomorrow. Mom is resting in her room and we would not like to bother her..so please inform her once she's woken up. Also, I hope you are fully aware of the party celebrations tomorrow, once we're back. we'll start the preparations, but in the meantime, get the decor out from the storeroom and you can also get started with the food, Is that okay?!"
"Yes please Lady Diana, I got it"Gilbert bowed again.
"Alright then, get the car ready for us to leave"
Gilbert bowed once again and turned heading towards the garage. He instructed the driver to get the car ready and once that was done, he went back into the living room and informed Lady Diana that the car was ready.
Diana thanked him and the three walked out of the living room.
Little Wendy was the first to get to the car, she was so excited.
Diana and Mary smiled to themselves as they approached the car, their faces filled with amusement at Little Wendy's eagerness.
Diana got into the driver's seat, Mary sat in the passenger's seat, and then little Wendy in the back seat. she started the car and drove out of the mansion.
