Chapter 4: Survival of the Fittest!

[1st P.O.V.]

~Viridian Forest~

The sun rays shone through the stone formation, awakening me from my slumber, squinting my eyes, a slimy substance was covering my face.

Struggling to open my eyes fully I pushed back the overjoyed Furret to stand up properly.

"Oy, chill out Dobby!" Shouting in my childlike voice the licking stopped, what was left was a slobbered down chibi Star Platinum.

Sighing I made my way to the entrance of the small cave-like structure, light was barely visible but it made its way through the treetops.

I looked back at the panting Furret, giving him a few pats I spoke fully intent on doing just as I stated.

"Dobby, our adventure has begun, we fought and might have killed already, but that's how it is going to be from now on."

I looked on even more intently towards him, making sure he fully understood how difficult this may be to achieve.

"The start was rocky but remember, our main goal is to become the greatest Pokemon of all time. We might have to do some unscrupulous things, but it's all for the greater good, do you understand Dobby!"

Nodding his head, a pleased look made it onto my face. Unlike the bullshit Ash's story portrayed for little kids, I am a Pokemon.

I'm not human anymore, I don't have the privileges Humans' have. Pokemon in this world are seen as tools or used for free labour.

Unless you have a backer, such as Cynthia the Champion of Sinnoh, the chances of you being hunted down by Team Rocket or Jupiter was sky-high.

Humans since ancient times were implanted in their minds, 'We have the right to catch and ow Pokemon'.

What a remarkable world I ended up into, and on the shitty side of the stick as well, but that's what makes it even more exhilarating.

There is a couple of things I could do to overcome this obstacle, one of them is getting a backer and the other is to become the strongest in existence.

One with high risk and high reward and the other being the more difficult of the two.

Tho I would rather take the lower risk, putting Dobby in any kind of trouble is sacrilege of the highest order.

I would need to surpass every Legendary, Ancient, Prehistoric, practically defeat any and everything in my way.

Even the G.O.A.T. himself Arceus, looking down at myself I thought back to what God said.

I am Star Platinum but my body had to adapt to the Pokemon world, so I gained and lost certain abilities and skills.

The ability to be intangible to anyone that isn't a stand user, and the need to eat, sleep and repeat

I also lost the spiritual body of a stand, I may regain it when I evolve or grow older but who knows.

The things I did gain was an efficient way to get stronger. Levelling, all I have to do is beat the living shit out of Pokemon and once there fainted I gain experience.

Though it varies, if I defeat a Pokemon that is higher level than me by 5 levels I gain 5 times the amount I would gain if I were to defeat an equal level opponent of the same Pokemon.

An example would be defeating a level 10 Ratata would give me 10 experience points, defeating a level 15 however gives me 50 experience points.

The problem is almost every Pokemon in this forest are under level 10, making exp grind a hassle.

There is ls also a catch, normal Pokemon gain exp by fighting more, or like Kakunas, they evolve by passively gaining exp.

Which is the slowest to the point that gaining a single level could take years, making it the least used and the most inefficient.

I also gained the potential of Star Platinum, meaning in the future I could overwrite reality itself if I play my cards right.

I'm almost one hundred percent sure Dialga is going to be coming after my ass when I start stopping time.

Taking a seat at the entrance of the rock formation, Dobby came next to me seeing my frustrated facial expression he began licking me again.

"I'm alright buddy, just give me a second." We need a way to become stronger, fast and more efficiently.

I've been thinking before but if I somehow get an exp share, this could become a grind fest.

Unlike the games though, exp works differently here, they don't have exp points but I do.

A competent Trainer who doesn't force their Pokemon, something you barely find around, someone like Ash but has an IQ that isn't -0.

Someone's whose personality isn't that of an incompetent child who doesn't train because the plot said not to.

Who in the Kanto region would fit these requirements or at least a couple of them.

Brock would be great, in hindsight, I am a Steel-type Pokemon giving me some sort of appeal to him.

His tendencies to ogle at almost any woman might cause him to disappear from canon, *Cracks tiny knuckles* forever.

Misty, she has actual battle IQ and puts on the facade she is not as smart as she really is, out of the trio she was without a doubt the smartest, common sense wise at least.

"I also have to take into consideration what part of the story am I in?" I muttered to myself somewhat dejected.

I hated not knowing, something the human civilization faced head-on for their entire existence.

Standing up I stopped petting Dobby whose face went from joy to a pout, "Let's go grind for now, but don't leave my side ever."

I spoke in a stern tone, if something happened to him I would be devastated, increasing my anger in the process.

I realized almost directly after leaving the egg, that I wanted to beat somebody near death.

I hated everything, the leaves, trees, the annoying Beedrills. Adding there mosquito-like sound just makes the whole endeavour even worse.

Looking across the forest I made good use of my Ability-Precision, it allows me to do things at a higher precision than anyone else could.

I saw a Machop punching a rock, he might be a good training partner for the time being.

Walking through the forest we came into contact with a couple of Weedles, [ORA Barrage]-ing them, we continued on our way.

Continuing our exploration we fought the Machop which was at level 8, an Exeggcute at level 10, it was a pain with its type advantage.

A couple of other random Pokemon, unlike the games a lot of different Pokemon reside deep within the forest.

After continuing this trend for roughly a week we hit a bottleneck, I had one mostly because I have to evolve soon.

Also the Machop we fought evolved into a Machoke, thought had my thoughts spiralling around if we should add...it...I have no clue what gender it is.

Dobby, on the other hand, was growing up. Every time he levelled up his length would become longer, slowly but surely he would reach his full size.

We were both level 15, but unlike Dobby who was fully evolved Furret, I most likely had an evolution, and I could feel it coming.

I wanted to evolve, my height made everything more difficult, walking was a hassle unless I tried, which causes another problem.

With my physical prowess, I could safely say that I could manhandle almost any Pokemon on my level, I punch through trees easily.

Using more than needed though causes massive problems, not only for myself but Dobby as well.

Coming out from the egg I was level one. my physical abilities weren't the greatest, but my stats compared to other Pokemon were higher.

Every time I levelled up my punches got to the point that they were like compressed explosions into my fists.

Causing shockwaves that destroy my surroundings, I was able to keep it under wraps but it's still a pain since I'm so small.

Other than those inconveniences the almost constant darkness didn't affect me as my Precision ability helped a lot.

Dobby had to urinate to leave a marker to return too, I used my enhanced sense then precision comes into play allowing me to differentiate smell.

We ate wild berries, not before kidnapping unsuspecting Pokemon and force-feeding them to make sure it wasn't poisonous.

There were a crazy amount of downsides but the main one was the level cap of the Pokemon in this area.

I sat down at the edge of the cave, contemplating if we should head deep into the Viridian Forest.

Looking outside the cave, which was pitch-black, the same colour I saw when I first gained consciousness.

I was organizing a plan, one that at the end of it I could scream 'Keikaku Doori!', with absolute pride in myself.

Leaving Kanto is a must, mainly due to my fear of being caught by a 'Plot Armour' protagonist who can't train.

The closest region would be Johto, if I'm here before canon that would give me some years to train.

Looking into the darkness that permeated the entire forest, I resigned myself in for the day.
