Chapter 8: Malicious Intent or Peace Talk?
*crunch*

*Gulp*
Lucas was still waiting for the final result of his Hunter Evaluation, he was quite bored that's why he's currently eating chips and drinking some coke.
'It's been a while since I drank one of this coke I truly miss this dealing, this chip is delicious as well.' Lucan thought as he felt the cold popping feeling of coke. He remembers that he was always on the battlefield fighting with the Pillars and their goons, that's why they don't have time to relax, but now he wanted to enjoy the peaceful time he has quite a bit.
After a while, his hunger was satisfied, and he notice the television hanging on the wall. There's a channel currently playing which is about a piece of news reporting an incident of another Monster Parade, this incident usually happens when an unstable portal happened. countless monster inside was able to go out and roam the streets resulting in numerous deaths.
Fortunately, there's a group of Hunters nearby to assist in closing the portal and helping the people around, after a few moments another piece of news was reported, and this attracted Lucas's attention after a while it was mentioned that this news is about the Outerspace.
The news was able to provide an unknown photo of an object, the object was seen floating in the distance of their planet, but it is quite blurry, yet when Lucas saw the structure of the object he was quite familiar with this type of design. He focus on the news that was being reported and after a while, the news was able to provide another photo from different angles, to his shock he was able to confirm that it was an AVX-57, it was simply a scout spaceship in his previous life, but aside from that, he also notices something.
'This is a scoutship, which means this kind of ship has limited fuel and cannot travel across the universe where planets are light years away from each other. To locate this planet means there's a mothership or colonial ship outside the solar system to avoid being detected in case there's a species capable of handling a device called Solar Scanning.' Lucas thought, he was very familiar with the ship, even if it's blurry he will surely know this space ship since he has seen this for thousand times already, and whenever their plan is about for being undetected, he's quite familiar with this strategy. After a while, as Lucas observe the news he was able to realize something.
'This means that I have a chance to get back to my previous planet and friends as soon as possible, I'm sure that they're somewhere in the universe. In this case, I will make sure to traverse the whole galaxy to find you guys, I still need to pay you back for all the things you did for me. Just wait for me!' Lucas thought as he have a new goal on his mind, but first, he need to focus and strengthen himself and restore his previous power not only that he will make sure to surpass that.
But the first thing in Lucas's mind is if the unknown species are here to invade their planet or just for peace talk, if they are here with malicious intent he needs to prepare himself and have the strength to protect himself and his family.
While in his thoughts, he notices that someone is approaching him he looks to his side and saw a man with a visible scar across his face, making the others who saw him shudder for an unknown reason.
'This guy is strong, are the staff in this world generally this strong? Can I defeat this guy on my current strength?' Lucas thought, currently he had no idea just how strong is he at Level 1, but with his countless experience in combat, life and death experiences. He's confident that he can kill his opponent or protect himself at least, Lucas knows that he masters his Innate Ability 'Aspect of Radiant' already but he still needs to make himself familiarized with his current status.
"Are you Lucas Gray?" The man with the scar on his face directly approaches him and asks.
"Yes, is the evaluation complete?" Lucas nodded as he replied.
"It is, but there's an issue with the evaluation ball earlier. That's why I have come to apologize because we need to delay your actual rank as of the moment, there's quite a lot of missing and incomplete data on the System to completely determine what's your actual rank." The man said to Lucas with an apologetic tone.
