Painting our garden was one of the things I always wanted to do. I was bored so I had no other option but to paint that afternoon. Painting was my hobby or should I say my life. When I felt anxious, depressed, sad scared, angry and even when I felt happy I always painted. What ever mixed feelings I had I put it on in my painting. I guess that's what gives me comfort.
Painting flowers reminded me of my mum

Dera! Dera! Dera!!!.
I was called back by the shout of my Dad.
Yes my name is Dera Adeola Ofurum. I'm the only child of my Parents. My dad is from the eastern part of my country, Nigeria while my mom was from the southern part. That's how I got my mixed names.
My dad is a renowned politician and I hardly spent time with him. Not until I lost my mom. My dad devoted his time to being with me and I always got what ever I wanted, even if it cost his life. Just kidding. Luckily I wasn't a spoilt brat. Yes with all the maids and servants. Still I knew how to wash my clothes.
Yes dad!!, I shouted back with a sign of relief that he was finally back. He was away for a conference since last week and I couldn't help, but miss him.
Hearing his voice was just what I needed. Hurriedly, I removed my apron, dropped the painting brush and ran to where the voice was echoing from.
"Dad! Dad!!" Where are you Dad??,I asked excited.
"Come upstairs" he said.
I ran upstairs as fast as I could. When I saw him his suit and tie had already been removed. I guess he came back few minutes ago.
Daddy I screamed and hugged him tightly, with a kiss on his cheeks he almost lost his balance but got it back.
"Dera, how are you doing?"he asked while laughing.
"I'm fine" I replied.
I missed you so much dad. How are you?, How was the trip?, I hope they treated you well?. I asked a thousand questions at a time.
Chill darling, calm down"my dad said still laughing
I'm fine everything went smoothly, there wasn't any problem. I just gazed at him with a wild smile
"I have something for You". Dad said. The last time he said something like this, I got a car, Now I don't know what it would be this time. I just gazed at him and said nothing.
With a smile dad handed me the letter.
"Here u go, You've been accepted to study in Elliot's college. This is your admission letter" Dad said looking to see my reaction.
I couldn't believe my ears, neither my
eyes.

Six months ago some agents from the USA had brought up an exam question paper for studying in Elliot's the University Of The science of Life. As they said... studying outside the country was well what I always wanted so I applied and wrote the exam.
Now here I was At Elliot, college Feeling myself. Everyone was outside for the Freshman's party game ritual stuff it was already getting on my nerves so I sat beside a camp fire.
A Korean girl spoke up. " This night is so not good for my skin.." I was fascinated cause her English was flawless. I laughed as two other guys joined. They introduced themselves as Shukashima and Jason and the girl from earlier was Se-yoon...They were surprised that I was able to grab their names quickly but my name Adeola was a bit difficult to them. We were just getting to know each other until the sophomores began shouting that the next game was Treasure hunting... Without telling us what our Treasure was, the poured water to quench the camp fires and immediately chased us into the forest.
The new friend's I managed to make that night were no where to be found.
I got scared as I got deeper into the forest and heard nothing.

*Author's Pov:*
As they all ran into the woods in frenzy...they suddenly realize that the trees in the forest seem to be moving...Jones was the first person to get lost from Shukashima's side...they could hear each other's voices but they couldn't find each other... everyone in the forest kept yelling but their voices surrounded the whole forest making it untraceable. The looming darkness over them made things scary for most of them. Frustrated they all tried to find a way back. Then suddenly Axel screamed "guys!, I see something"
Immediately they all agreed that the saw the same thing.
Shukashima stated. "It seems to be an opening..." A golden light slowly formed infront of them...and before they could all say any further..a loud blast was heard making them unconscious and sucking their bodies into the various portals.
