Chapter 70: I don't deserve you

Dr Borges had been found floating in the river last night.

A suicide note was left in his home office and his clothes had stones tucked into the pockets. 

"It's a set up," Sienna paced furiously in her office. 

"But we can't prove it," Alison sank her head miserably onto her arms as she moped at her desk. 

Sienna wanted to smash everything and scream. 

With Dr Borges and his testimonial gone, there was no way they could prove that Mrs Astor had doctored the paternity test results. 

All she could do was sigh and rework the angles in her head. 

Surely there was some way else, surely this couldn't be a dead end. 

"Ask our people to dig some more and see if anything at all useful comes up," Sienna ran a hand through the loose waves of her hair. 

"Where are you going?" Alison asked, watching Sienna pull on her blazer. 

"To the hospital," Sienna said grimly, "I'll see if there's anything I can find there."
