Chapter 3: I UPSET HER

Before Kiara dragged her upstairs I could tell I upset her. Even though her head was down I could tears slowly forming. Bringing back those memories was the last thing I wanted to do. It just came out and then I couldn't take it back. take it back.

"Babe!"

The sound of Cassidy's mad high pitched voice jolted me out of my thinking trance.

"I've been calling your name for the last 3 minutes while you just stare off into space."

" I'm sorry babe, I didn't mean to ignore you. I was just thinking."

She gave me this look, like what I was thinking about wasn't appropriate for me to think.

"Do you like her," she blurted out with a straight face. I could help but burst out laughing.

"What is so funny? I'm asking you a serious question!"

!"

The angrier she got the higher her voice went, which didn't help me stop laughing.

"That's insane," I said breathlessly. "Look, Zarah is just a friend! Besides you know I only have eyes for you."

I looked into her eyes as I placed the tip of her chin in between my thumb and pointer finger. Slowly I traced her face and pulled it closer to me. Soon enough our lips were locked together, repositioning them every few seconds for a better angle. Cass pulled away and gave this devilish look in her eyes.

"How about we take this somewhere a little less public," she questioned with a smile on her face. I stood up and walked around the table to the other side.

"Cass I told you, I'm not ready yet."

She gave me a disappointed glare.

"Come on, stop being a girl. You think I don't see the look in your eyes imagining me naked," she asked while sexily biting her lip.

"I don't know what you're seeing but it's not me seeing you naked."

Why would she say something like that? I just wasn't ready to take it that far yet. I love her, and she is amazing but ready to give up my body to her is not something I'm ready for yet.

"Ok fine. Well, I promised my friend I would meet up with them soon so I have to go."

She sounded very annoyed. She had no reason to be, did she?

"Okay I will see you tomorrow then," I asked, walking closer to her to give her a goodbye kiss. She pulled away and opened her mouth to respond.

"Yeah sure."

She walked out the door, slamming it behind her. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm not ready but she is. Maybe she's right, maybe I'm just being an idiot and thinking way too much about this.
