Chapter 5: Choices?
Itachi could see one giant eagle with a white head and a black body sitting on its nest as they entered the conference room hall. Two medium-sized eagles stood beside him, staring at him.
"Greetings to the elders and clan leader." The small eagle who presented him spoke to them and knelt in front of them.
"I have brought the boy as per your orders."
"You did a good job. Have your leave." The eagle flew from there.
Itachi and the eagles stared at each other for some time.
"My name is Uzuki, and I am the clan leader of Eagle." He said it in a casual way.
"My name is Fumizuki, and I am the 'Female' elder of Eagle's clan."
"And I am Hazuki, the 'male' elder of Eagle's clan."
"I am Itachi, nothing special." Itachi also introduced himself.
"Tell me, Itachi, how did you get in here?" Itachi was asked by Hazuki.
"I performed a summoning jutsu. I was not contracted to any animal. So, the next thing I know, I'm in this place." Itachi gave a respectful response.
"It appears that fate has brought you here; Elder Hazuki saw a vision of a boy arriving here injured just a few days ago." Itachi was informed about the vision by Uzuki.
Itachi exclaims, "Ehh!"
"So you were aware of my impending arrival?" Itachi asked them.
"Indeed, but elder Hazuki also informed us about it a few hours ago."
"So, tell me how you managed to get such a bad injury." Uzuki was intrigued by the sight of a 5-year-old boy suffering such a severe injury as if he had fought to the death.
Itachi scratched his head and said"Ehh, I was attacked by a group of wild tiger while training in the forest. Nothing special Hahaha." in an embrassed tone.
"That's how it was."
"Can I ask you a question." Itachi.
"What is it." Uzuki.
"Would you give me a contract or something similar while I'm here?" Itachi asked them to know their intentions.
"Of course, it could be given, but it would be with just a single Eagle. If someone agrees to be your summon, then you will get a chance to learn Eagle's sage mode."
"if none of them accepts you as a contractor, you will be killed. " Uzuki made the point clear to Itachi.
"So, how many of them do I have as option to be a contactor and How much time do I have to get it done." Itachi aked quickly.
"You have four of them as option to choose from: About a month to make them accept." Uzuki replied to him.
"Could you tell me what abilities I'll have in Eagle's Sage mode?" Itachi was curious because he was only familiar with the Naruto series' snake and frog sage modes, both of which had unique abilities.
Fumizuki spoke up this time "Eagle's sage mode is the Eagle's clan's only sage mode. It gives the user a lot of mental power and boosts their reflexes and thinking capacity at the same time. It takes Genjutsu to a whole new level, as well as the wind chakra."
"If perfected, the user would be able to fly, giving them incredible mobility." Fumizuki clarified.
"It also greatly increases the user's Dojutsu power, as the user gains an eagle's eye."
"The maximum potential of Eagle's Sage Mode can only be realized if the user has Dojutsu."
'I see each sage mode as being distinct in its own way, such as Toad's sage mode being more strength-based, Snake's being more balanced, and Eagle's being genjustu and mobility.' Itachi pondered his thoughts.
'It works for me, increasing my Sharingan's power while improving my mental strength and mobility; I believe it's a perfect match for me.' This is the ideal route, As fated animals totally suits me the fated person' Itachi smiled as he contemplated the situation.
"Can you give me a little information about the choices for my summons?" Itachi asked after collecting his thoughts.
"Rukh, the eldest of the four, was born in the eagle clan in a unique way. Eaglean has always had wind-related abilities, but Rukh was born with lightning. In his peer group, he is the black sheep and the weakest of the four."
"Suzuki, the second oldest, is the strongest of the four, having mastered the clan's technique and striving for genius. He is a well-rounded fighter."
"Third oldest: Compared to the other three members of the group of four, he has a large chakra capacity. He's the type who goes for the kill."
"4th Youngest: He is a defensive player who frequently practices with the older players. So, in order to avoid injury, he gradually switched to the defensive type."
"Well, there you have it. Those are your options." Hazuki
...
"Was there a contractor before me?" Itachi asked them.
"Never in history, those who arrived were never chosen by any eagle. We just don't like being contracted." Uzuki exclaimed loudly while laughing.
"As a result, they were all killed." Itachi was the one who spoke.
"Indeed."
'Things are about to get complicated.' He let out a sigh.
"Is it possible for me to return home during this time? All of my injuries seem to be healed by these black mud-like substances on my body, as if they were never there in the first place." Itachi wanted to get home as soon as possible so his mother wouldn't be concerned. He was pretty sure it was already past midnight, and she was very concerned for his safety.
"No! I can't let you go out until you've been choosen as a contractor." Uzuki stated unequivocally.
"Could you, at the very least, deliver a message to my mother? She must be very concerned about me." Itachi requested earnestly, bowing his head.
"That is possible. After all, the parents of a 5-year-old child will be devastated if their child goes missing." As a parent himself, Uzuki nodded his head in agreement.
Itachi was given a pen and wrote that while training, he thought to perform a summoning jutsu from one of the scrolls, but because he was not contracted, a reverse summoning occurred, summoning him into a different location. Also, because of some circumstances, he couldn't come home for a month or two, but not to worry, as all of them are very friendly and nice.
Of course, he left all the dangerous part.
The letter was passed to an eagle who went flying after itachi told him about the location and describing his mother's face.
"Where shall I begin my mission to make one of them my contractor." Itachi yelled out loud and went outside, taking a leave.
