Chapter 16: Cheat
"Shadow clone!" Boruto conjured up three shadow clones.
The clones began jumping on Ryu one after the other.
He easily avoided clones and punched clones before moving in the direction of Boruto.
Boruto began to hurl kunais at Ryu. He simply caught one of his flying kunais and used it to block the other kunai.
Boruto desperately attempted to use Jutsu. Ryu was getting closer and closer to Boroto by the second.
Boruto had a ninja tool hidden under his sleeves, which no one seemed to have noticed.
Suddenly, he summoned "purple lightning." He moved at a high speed.
Kakashi was shocked at Boruto using purple lightning because he knew Boruto had never done the training to pull it off.
Other students were shocked at seeing Boruto using Kakashi's technique.
"Giving up, aren't ya?" Boruto smiled while rushing towards Ryu.
Ryu smiled.
Boruto aimed for Ryu's heart,
Ryu slapped Boruto on the back of the hand. Purple lightning struck the ground, destroying it.
Boruto's face was kicked by Ryu's knee. Boruto collapsed to the ground. Ryu focused his chakra on his foot and stomped on Bouto's face on the ground while Boruto struggled to get up.
Ryu's leg was directly in front of Boruto's face. Boruto was humiliated.
Boruto launched a lightning attack on Ryu with his ninja tool.
Ryu used his lightning to distract it, and it struck Boruto.
"You are far too weak," Ryu began to mock Boruto.
"You're just Naruto's son. Nothing more exists, and nothing more will ever exist of you." Ryu said in an annoyed tone.
"I will, you moron." Boruto.
"No, you won't. It's hard for me to believe Naruto gave birth to such a wuss as you." Boruto was mocked once more by Ryu.
"What do you know about me to say that?" Boruto was enraged.
Ryu set fire to Boruto's right hand's sleeves.
"Naruto's son, after all, wields ninja scientific tools. What could be more humiliating than using them as the challenger in a battle?" Ryu stomped on Boruto.
Everybody present saw Boruto wearing scientific ninja tools, and someone spoke.
"I also don't believe the seventh Lord could have a son like that." A student at random
Other students were murmuring as well, disparaging Boruto.
Boruto's life in the academy was bound to be hell, and he was well aware of the mess he had gotten himself into.
Boruto's use of Scientific Ninja tools in a match he initiated also disappointed Kakashi.
Boruto was getting kicked from all sides. His face and body were both red and blue. Even then, he didn't want to give up. If he gave up here, he'd miss out on making friends at the academy. People in the academy who disliked him would openly criticize him.
Boruto stood up and attempted to punch Ryu. Ryu focused his chakra and kicked Boruto in the balls. He was now sprawled on the ground.
Students who witnessed the match felt it was more of a bullying incident than a match.
They were, however, content. Boruto was cruel to teachers, putting them through unnecessary stress. He was also the source of friction.
Boruto was like a little brother to Konohamaru, so he stepped forward and asked, "Lord Ryu, I think he learned his lesson."
" Please leave him alone."
Boruto's ego was bruised when he said, "You could just win me because you're older than me." If Big Bro Konohamru were to fight you, he would easily defeat you."
Kakashi could contest him, but Konohamaru could only keep up with him for a few minutes.
"You now wish to entice others to join you in your fight. He would never be my match, I can assure you." Ryu exuded confidence.
Boruto locked his gaze on Konohamaru. Boruto saw him as dissatisfied.
"Do you know what you're missing?" Ryu cast a glance at Boruto.
"I don't believe I'm lacking in anything." Boruto
"You've gotten everything you wanted. Other people here, you see, didn't have it so good."
"Your father he lack everything. He desired to seize what he lacked in order to become what he is now."
"But you're not lacking in anything. So you want things to go exactly how you want them to go. You believe you are better than others. Don't you think so?" Boruto was met with a cold stare from Ryu.
"What do you lack, you scumbag? You, too, have everything you desire." Boruto refused to accept Ryu's words.
" What I lacked, HUH! Do you really want to hear it? " Ryu stared at Boruto.
Others could agree with Ryu's words. He put the words just right.
They were also curious now about what a person like him lacked.
"Just spit it out!" Boruto said loudly.
Ryu looked at Boruto and said.
" I lacked a father when I was born, and I saw my mother get killed in front of my very eyes." Ryu said, even more coldly.
Boruto couldn't speak anymore. Boruto knew in his heart that this was all true, but didn't want to accept it even after listening to that.
"I also lack, I also have a father, but he is always busy at work and doesn't give us time for us." Boruto also made up a reason.
"At least you have a father. Did your father even get to know how it felt to have a father." Ryu was growing more disappointed in Boruto.
"I can feel how sad he would be to have a sucking son who can't understand him. who always blames everything on him, without even trying to understand him. " Ryu said and left the arena.
" I won't be taking your right eye. You will just blame your father for getting it lost to me by making a lame excuse." Ryu left the arena.
None of the people present could sympathize with Boruto, but they felt a growing respect for Ryu.
Ryu wanted to take his jogan, but he knew that there was a chance Momoshiki lost to Naruto and Sasuke intentionally to get hold of the jogan of Boruto. He didn't want to take the risk.
All of them got out of the arena. Boruto was treated in the infirmary. They were planning on staying here for about a week.
The village had someone like Kakashi for a week. So, he was able to get out of the village for the time being, but now his problem was Orochimaru, who could wake up at any moment.
Ryu went to the hospital room of Orochimaru. He was still in a deep sleep. Ryu wanted to get Shin on his side.
Ryu passed through lightning chakra inside Orochimaru. Orochimaru woke up from the shock of lightning and saw what he least wanted to see: a pair of Sharingans staring at him.
"What have you decided, you sly snake?" Ryu
"I will join you." Orochimaru didn't have a choice in this matter.
He told Orochimaru about the underground forest he discovered and told him to settle here.
He called a ninja squad and gave them orders to follow what Orochimaru said.
He left the place and went to meet Kakashi.
He met kakashi and made an excuse that he won't be able to be in the village for a week, and if he could just provide his assistance if something happened.
Kakashi agreed to help.
He had gotten the information of shin hideout from Orochimaru. He knew where he could find him. So, he called rukh flew towards the direction of it.
