Chapter 18: Foreshadowing [Shorts]
Years ago in an A rank gate
A group of a dozen or so hunters sat around in a makeshift camp with a large campfire in the center. It was a strange sight seeing people wearing armor that belonged in medievel times using their phones while roasting their marshmallows on sticks on the campfire.
Suddenly, a slim figure of a hunter from the shadows emerged like a ninja with plastic bags at hand.
"I'm back... The line was so damn long, anyways here's your orders.. No ice cream today unfortunately, their ice cream machine is broken" she said while taking her armor off to cool down
Everyone got up to get their orders however, some were too impatient as they used their superhuman speeds to get their food first.
"guys chill, food ain't going nowhere" someone said with a disappointed face
"Ferris, catch"
*grab*
"thank you Evan" he replied
After a good minute, everyone sat on their asses while they peacefully ate their fill for dinner. It became kinda quiet when they were eating so eventually someone decided to fill the cold atmosphere.
"so Lara, when will you get someone in your life?" someone asked with smug

"actually.. I'm waiting for my prince charming! :> " she said proudly for everybody to hear
"ain't no way your being real! Those romance webtoons are getting into your head so snap out of it!"
"he's right, we'd be already 'dead' before you even get to meet your imaginary prince charming" another hunter said with a smirking face
She sighed loudly "hah.. if you keep saying that it'll eventually come true" Lara said with her nose pointing away at them
