William spent the next two weeks absorbing the Superior Chaos Vein, marking three fully absorbed Superior Veins out of the total twenty-eight.

The weakening from the Karma Element upgrades had ended a few days prior, and William pushed it from SS to SSR, then X-Rank successfully, the only cost being another long period of weakness. Even the Karma Element's consciousness that tried to break free couldn't do anything to his powerful body.

The downside was that in the process of the final two upgrades, William lost his connection with over a thousand people.

Surprisingly, he never lost the Karma Thread attached to his mother in this World, Misha, which was slightly thicker than he expected. Even though he had hardly spent any time with the woman, William's Karma Thread was almost as large as Charlotte's, which made him wonder if it had something to do with the previous William.
