Chapter 2: Chapter 2 - Branching out into the cafeteria (1)
I come out of the bathroom still questioning everything and making sure to be extra careful not to trigger the system again. I look up the stairs and start to feel myself sweating, after all what happens if I trip on a step and it takes me to a fantasy mountain climbing adventure, or what if it doesn't just apply to fictional fantasy novels and I end up in the middle of a trench in a historical battle. I take my time and put every ounce of focus and concentration on every step heading back to class.
"Sorry sir I'm back." I say as I re-enter my maths classroom and take my seat by the window. I don't pay any attention in that class and instead stare out the window imagining what rewards my new system may give in the future...
"Ah hello harem of fictional waifus! I didn't see you come in I was too busy beating the crap out of this guy who insulted me." I say heartily as I return to my throne atop my mountainous pile of money.
Nah that's dumb. But class finally ends and I head to my next class and the next one and the next one with no new system messages. This sucks why hasn't anything happened yet? Did it really just have to do with me hitting my head. That's crap I thought something awesome finally happened. I feel a pit in my stomach as the bell for lunch rings and I head to meet my friends in the cafeteria.
"Hey Dan, can I ask you a question?" I'm trying to get across what happened to my best friend Dan because he's the only person I know who's as big a nerd as me except he never reads novels just comics.
"Yeah sure" He says wondering what this could be about.
"What if you woke up one day with a system that altered the world around you until you complete the event and then you can go back but your success changes the impact in the real world?" I quickly go through everything I know about what happened earlier.
"What?" He asks clearly not following any of that.
"Nothing don't worry about it." I wouldn't have followed any of that either.
On my way out of the cafeteria I bump shoulders with one of the more popular girls who I'm too terrified to talk to and immediately prepare myself to either apologise or keep walking.

This novel was about a guy who's reincarnated as a baby into a village and becomes a travelling merchant. In this chapter he heads into the marketplace and meets a new character. But I haven't read this in ages I barely remember what happens.
The world scrolls up and replaces my surroundings with a very nice looking renaissance -style marketplace in the middle of a bustling city. Beneath my armoured boots is a stone street and in front of me is an empty market stall (probably mine) but other than that nothing seems to stick out.
"Hey piss ant you should watch where your going unless you want me and the rest of the city guard to ruin you!" A gruff voice comes from behind me. When I turn around though the man who threatened me has the face of the girl but they've grown a beard and huge muscles and an extra foot in height.
"Holy crap! That's disturbing" Everything about this is weird. I can't believe this is the best the system could come up with. It couldn't have given me a romance event!
"What something about me disturb you boy?!" The girl-man thing gets closer and angrier. But as they do they seem to get even freakier looking.
"Yes! Oh god yes! Please just get away from me!" this is evidently the last straw as they take out their sword. I guess this character had a really short fuse. How would the main character have gotten around this, well its still a girl right so what if I try flirting like a main character? Plus if it does work in the outside world I can score some points with her.
"Well hello beautiful lady. What do you say you and me go have some fun somewhere?" I give them a wink and go to grab their hand to kiss it but evidently they see this as an attack tactic of some sort. The blade moves so fast through my neck I don't see it and I don't hear it and my head is gone...
