Arata started from knowledge of basic jutsus like Transformation Technique, Substitution Jutsu, normal Clone Jutsu, and finally Body Flicker Technique. All of them except the basic clone technique is very useful and deadly to anyone if used by someone with a high skill level.
Transformation Jutsu was not only good for infiltration but if mastered to a high level you can transform into things in your surrounding while retaining the physical characteristics of the object transformed into. This could be used for surprising attacks by transforming into rock, kunais, and shuriken which are usually thrown at the enemy and transform back to their original selves once near the enemy. If one knows chakra suppression they could indefinitely hide from everyone just by transforming into an inanimate object.
Body Flicker if used correctly or at the level of Shisui could be very deadly to anyone regardless of what level of ninja the opponent was. Shisui even gained the name 'Shisui of the Body Flicker' due to his mastery of it. Its only weakness just like Flying Raijin would be a continuous AoE attack around the enemy if only used with common ninja tools. One can't harm a person covered in Lava or Lighting with just shuriken and swords.
Substitution can be used anywhere, anytime. About the get hit or pierced with tools?, Substitute. The opponent was wants Chidori you?, Substitute. Want enemies to take damage for you? , Substitute them with enemies teammate. In his previous life, Arata read a fan-fiction where many ninjas follow the log religion, it always saved them in critical times.
He was gonna master these three Jutsus to their highest possible level while making Guren learn it diligently too.
Next, he learned some Earth and Lightning jutsu hand seals and working mechanisms. Finally, he gained knowledge regarding the Explosion release, its uses, and the Explosion corps of Iwagakure. To practice Explosion release Arata had to first learn and practice lightning release.
After finishing stealing knowledge regarding Jutsus and other crucial information, Arata read his memories regarding interactions with other people in the Jonin's village and outside the village.
He was normal to his villagers and uncaring regarding other people but was not rude or unnecessarily cruel either. He avoided killing innocent as much as possible.
Arata decided not to kill him, but just alter his memories regarding the confrontation, making him believe he was ambushed by some rouge ninjas who killed his subordinates and injured his hands. Further, Arata made Kozuru a sleeper agent, who had the activation code of " Yo mama's so fat, emotional damage took two days to reach her heart" in English. Arata would use him whenever he needed some information or wanted to infiltrate Hidden rock village more easily. Then he ordered four of his shadow clones to carry Kozuru near the previous village and drop him there.
The original proceeded to create a very simple one-room house using Crystal Release of dimensions 10mx5mx3m(LxBxH) with multiple mesh windows and one door opening which could be closed from inside and outside by forming a crystal wall while leaving or not staying in the house. After moving Guren into the house, Arata sat down and analyzed his previous fight with Stone village enemies.
He had observed the following mistakes and weaknesses:- 1)He was too reliant on Hiding in Mist jutsu to sneak attack, which could be countered by Hiding like a mole Jutsu, a strong wind release, and a person who uses Hiding in mist jutsu too.
2) He could be detected with vibrations either on earth or in the air with sonar. So he has to find ways to avoid it or replicate vibrations around himself.
3)He had to study Lightweight and heavy-weight techniques more thoroughly to make the gravity seals work faster.
4) He had to learn to fight multiple opponents at once, who will most probably use different techniques.
5) Learn which powers to use in which situation, also try using only one power at a time to learn more about the power. Multiple powers can be confusing to use simultaneously.
6) Practice remaining two nature releases as well so that he can use Jutsu's to counter a particular element and make other kekkei genkai's.
7) He could not mind control shinobis easily, especially while fighting compared to mind-controlling civilians. Practicing mind control on shinobis will be important in the future.
But Arata was still happy with it because it was his first fight and he didn't lose against experienced enemies too. Only by fighting more people and analyzing the fight during and after it, he could improve. With his processing powers improving during fights was not difficult.
On counting the money and other resources he got from shinobis he got a round figure of 30000 Ryos, 60 Shurikens, 40 Kunais, 40 explosion tags, 12 food pills, and 1 storage scroll in total. They had not used any weapons or resources till they met Arata so he got all of it from them.
He proceeded to study explosive tags and storage scrolls to learn more about seals. To him, these tags and scrolls were like medium-level puzzle-solving and decryption of secured data when used with his seal-making and learning instincts/sense.
Explosive tags worked by inscribing special writing around the word 'EXPLODE', which upon applying chakra would activate after some delay and could be activated remotely too. Igniting would activate it immediately.
While the Storage scrolls were more complicated and harder to make due to their involvement in space-time aspects. Arata studied it for 2 hours to understand its basics. He was trying to find the limitations and mistakes of the scroll.
This went on until his stomach growled due to hunger, which woke Guren up. He decided to cook a meal and continue his research regarding seals afterward.
