Chapter 3: The System
Inside The Realm Of Rest
God, "Now that your current concerns are taken care of. Let's get to the heart of the issue of why you are here."
Christopher nodded, readying himself to remember as much of this conversation as he possibly could.
God, "Your system is called, The Holy Manuscript. It's powers are great, but not unlimited. It's limits are set to the same limits as the world I have sent you to."
Christopher now understanding that he can not become as over powered as he thought, let out a sigh. 'Regardless The Holy Manuscript sounds like an OP name for a system. It must not be as simple as God made it out to be. At the very least it has an unique name, he didn't just call it "The Holy System." I wonder if the system is as unique as it's name suggests?'
God knowing what Christopher was thinking, smiles with a proud look on his face. "You are correct in assuming that it is not exactly like the other systems you've read about. However if it were to unique, you would've had a hard time learning the ropes."
Christopher realizing that God could understand his thoughts says with embarrassment. "I forgot for a moment, you know everything about me. Even my thoughts."
After an awkward pause Christopher continued the conversation by saying, "By the way, how do I access The Holy Manuscript?"
God, "That's an easy question, you simply close your eyes in reverence and think, The Holy Manuscript."
Christopher feeling a little dumb for asking such an obvious question says, "That is easy. Why didn't I think of that?"
God trying to cheer him up replies, "That is because of all the anime and manga you consumed in your last life. It is not your fault, you simply had other ideas filling your head instead."
Christopher, "Yeah, I did watch a lot of anime. I guess I shouldn't have watched as much as I did."
God, "Just like every choice in life there is consequences and benefits. Because you watched a lot of anime, you may do even better in this world thanks to that."
Christopher picking up on a small clue responds. "Do you not know if I will be able to save this world?"
God with a gentle smile, "My son, I know you will do great things. Not because I know this world's future, but because I have faith in you. I have purposefully not looked at this world's future because I believe in you."
Christopher stunned by the faith God has in him says, "Thank you for having faith in me and all, but isn't it reckless to leave it all up to me. I am just one person. I am a human, and no human is perfect."
God, "I place my faith in you not because you are perfect, but because you are you. You are one of the most kind and righteous, of my children. If you cannot save this world, then it was doomed from the start."
Christopher not being able to hold back his feelings any further leapt forward, and gave God a hug. "No one has ever seen me the way that you do. You know all the parts of me I tried to get other people to see. You even know my faults, but love me regardless. My own father wasn't even there for me."
God, "But son, I have always been there for you. Your earthly father may have abandoned you. But as your heavenly father I will never leave you."
Christopher after calming down a bit let go. "Thanks will never be enough to describe how much I appreciate you."... "So let me show you.".. "I am going to do everything within my power to save this world."
Christopher then closes his eyes and says, "The Holy Manuscript."
Writing appears on Christopher's eyelids.

Christopher, "That's a lot to take in."
God, "You do not have to understand all of it right away, but I do suggest you add the knight that is helping you to your allies list. It will give him a much needed boost.".. "The night's name is Marhaus. Because he is a noble knight, you should refer to him as Sir Marhaus."
Christopher, "Good idea. My class has a perk that will make his stats, and skills get a 10% buff."
God, "Good now that you've done that. You should check out the Miracle Store."
Christopher while keeping his eyes closed scrolls through the Miracle Store. "It says everything costs FP. What is that?"
God, "That is the necessary energy to use Paladin or Holy Skills. Thanks to your Unique Skill, Faith Store. Any and all extra Faith Points get stored as Store currency. You may also use the FP that you would use for skills in the store as well."
Christopher, "I think I get it now. What skills do you think I should get?"
God, "That is up to you, to decide. I will tell you that you have a lot of Faith Points, because of your large Faith stat. This opens up a lot of possibilities. However the most you can get right now would be several lesser skills, or one of the many useful low level skills."
Christopher, "Allright, my best options would be to get something from the buff skills section."
Shock and excitement appears on Christopher's face as he shouts "God's Eyes"..."Did you really put your own abilities in here?"
God smiled and said, "Do you really expect me to send you into such a dangerous world, without giving you access to some extraordinary abilities?"
Christopher began laughing, before saying. "You are too much." Christopher then checks the description.
God's Eyes; The ability to see anything, even to see through time and space. Costs 200 FP, lasts for 2 minutes (Lvl1/infinite). The time limit and power of the skill are tied to the level of the skill. Cost 1,800 FP
Christopher "Allright I know what I'm picking."
Christopher hears a calm monotone voice say, "Holy Skill acquired, God's Eyes"
God, "I wish you the best of luck. I hope you're adventure is everything you have ever hoped for."
Christopher with a sad expression said, "Will I see you again?"
God with a gentle smile responds, "Of course my son. Whenever you want me to appear here, I will."
Christopher lets out a sigh of relief before saying, "Good bye, dad."
God replies with, "It's about time you called me that, son."
Then Christopher began to fade away, with the biggest grin on his face.
God sighs before thinking, 'I love that kid. Almost all of my other children are scared of me at first. But that kid. He comes out and gives me a hug the second time we meet. This is why I will never regret making my children.'
