Synopsis
Anurak, shy and introverted, and Arisara, feisty and destined to be Luna, are opposite personalities, yet complementary best friends growing up in ancient Thailand's most powerful pack. Everything changes when Anurak's parents are executed by Arisara's father, the Alpha, forcing him to flee into a deadly jungle where he is assumed to have died.
However, four years later, a note from Anurak himself arrives to the Alpha announcing he's alive and is returning with an ultimatum. The news sends shockwaves through the kingdom and causes the Alpha to die of heart failure. When Anurak arrives, he is faced with new leadership: his childhood friend and newly appointed Luna, Arisara, and her abusive husband whom she is contractually married to. Upon his arrival, Luna Arisara feels her mate bond pull to Anurak, now a part of an enemy pack, and has to decide between her fated mate or her kingdom.

Are you sure you are not a William Shakespeare reincarnate? You have such a way with words! I feel every emotion with each character and have no trouble visualizing every place in the story. Great writing and I can't wait to read the whole story. There was something about 'sticky rice' in the story that made me hungry so I am going to prepare a snack and come continue with the amazing story. I recommend this book to all who enjoy a shifter fantasy fiction story with vivid imagery brought to life through words and action. Lovely story! Wow, this book is incredible! The author spins such a lush, vibrant tale that is so unique in comparison to other werewolf romance I've read recently. This story is a great read. The setting of Siam is captivating, and the vivid descriptions leave a clear image in your head. The writing is very clear and easy to follow, and there is so much personality in the narration that it's impossible not to enjoy reading about these characters. The connection of the exiled lead and the jaded Luna is special, and leaves a line of sweetness and vulnerability through the grim, suspenseful, exciting beginning chapters. A very interesting and engaging story! Definitely recommend!!
This is a terrific book! It's not your typical wolf shifter romance story. The setting of Siam makes it so intriguing, but the characters themselves come off the page. I'm loving every minute of it and can't wait to see what happens next. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Once Upon a Time in Siam is a beautifully story with a setting that will make you travel to a different and totally fascinating world without even having to leave your couch. I recommend it with my eyes closed. It is marvelous from the beginning to the end!

I am in complete awe with this authors way with words, but even more impressed with their world building and descriptions, as well as blending seemlessly such rich culture in a way that I have never seen a shifting story told in. You’ll be so immersed you’ll never want to come back from this story!
This is such a unique take on shifters and incorporating an entirely new culture to the mix was amazing. I loved the different view and that we get to learn more about the Thai culture through this story. I liked how the male lead wasn't as confident as the female lead, yet that it didn't diminish the story whatsoever. I am loving it so much!

This Southeast Asian setting has yet to be explored in shifter novels, and Thai culture plays a large roll in this epic tale of love and loss.
