Chapter 3: ICEMTB CH3 A Successful Awakening... ?

The Awakening room consisted of a sound-proof room with a large digital screen that displayed one of the many Modern Meditation Techniques for Beast Taming Awakening. Every Awakening center had dozens of these rooms for the applicants that came to awaken.

Every person who passed the assessment of the Preparatory Beast Taming Class was given a voucher for one of these rooms so that they could choose a technique and undergo Awakening. If their chosen technique was ineffective for them, then they could buy another voucher from the Center.

These vouchers however were incredibly expensive. That is why most try to awaken in one go from the voucher received from the Preparatory Beast Taming Class.

Every base had its preferences for the type of technique they taught their Beast Tamers. They would be given a list of choices depending on which city they were in and the applicant would choose from among them.

Since he was part of the Delhi base, the technique that would be granted to him would either be the Seven Chakra Visualization or the Divine Heavenly Communication. The first one was a derivative of the Ancient Yogic Practices, while the other was derived from the chanting of special Mantras that let Ancient Hindu civilization connect to higher powers.

Among these two, Rudra preferred Seven Chakra Visualization as it was a pure visualization technique with almost no special requirements except willpower, concentration, and imagination on the part of the user.

The Divine Heavenly Communication was a more powerful technique as compared to Seven Chakra Visualization. But it had an equally high requirement for the user to have the correct phonetic intonation while chanting the mantras.

It was the phonetic combination in the mantras that triggered a meditation state in this technique. Therefore the higher the accuracy of the phonetic intonation, the better the efficacy of the training.

Soon it was his turn and he was granted a room just like the others. On entering the room, Rudra found that it was as he had guessed. The digital screen in the room had two option buttons displayed on the screen currently, the Seven Chakra Visualization and the Divine Heavenly Communication.

Rudra picked the Seven Chakra Visualization without hesitation and sat down cross-legged while reading the instruction. After reading and memorizing it thoroughly, he began his meditation.

According to the visualization technique, the basic human chakra system, as it is commonly accepted, consists of seven chakras stretching from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Their names, locations, and corresponding chakra colors are:

Muladhara - Root Chakra - The Base Of The Spine - Red

Svadhisthana - Sacral Chakra - Just Below The Navel - Orange

Manipura - Solar Plexus Chakra - Stomach Area - Yellow

Anahata - Heart Chakra - The Center Of The Chest - Green

Vishuddha - Throat Chakra - Base Of The Throat - Blue

Ajna - Third Eye Chakra - Forehead, Above Between The Eyes - Indigo

Sahasrara - Crown Chakra - Top Of The Head - Violet

According to the legends, advanced control over chakra made a sage or yogi capable of using any powers known to man. Therefore the Seven Chakra Visualization technique, which is derived from it, is famous for being one of the most stable, safest, and versatile methods for awakening any kind of Specialized Beast Taming powers.

Rudra focused his mind, using his mental imagination to travel a path that began at the perineum, in the coccyx area. Then it traveled to the next stop at the lower belly, a few inches below the navel. It reached the solar plexus next, before quickly climbing up to the center of the chest, slightly to the left of the physical heart.

His journey became faster as he reached the throat, at the carotid plexus, then swiftly traversed to the point between the eyebrows or "third eye". He finally slowed down as he reached the top of the cranium, and floated in a weightless blank dark space. After a few moments, he retraced his steps and slowly reached the perineum, in the coccyx area.

He repeated this cycle again and again, until the point that he could suddenly feel his mental energy as a tangible force instead of an imaginary one. This was the first part of the Seven Chakra Visualization technique.

It converted the special dormant biological energy obtained from the Dimension of the Monstrous Beasts by refining it using the visualization of the Seven Chakras and transforming it into tangible mental energy that the user can control.

The next part of the process was harder. Rudra gathered all his focus and started executing the seven-chakra visualization cycle faster and faster. Soon, it became an instinctive process and he began to be able to traverse the entire cycle with just a casual thought.

This was the second part and by the time he achieved this part, his mental energy would be generated in enough amount to execute the third and final part. Rudra went the extra mile and repeated the cycle a few hundred times more to ensure for sure that he would have more than enough energy required for the third part of the process.

For the third part, Rudra once again began the cycle of the seven chakras. However, this time he didn't complete the cycle. Instead, as soon as he reached the Sahasrara or Crown chakra, he gathered all his mental energy in it.

A large amount of mental energy he had gathered swirled chaotically in the Crown chakra, making his inner vision fill up with piercing violet light. However, Rudra didn't stop and kept compressing the mental energy further until it was compressed into a small ball.

At this point, Rudra released control over the energy ball. The bright violet light immediately seemed to repel away from the energy ball, coloring a spot of it in violet color and making it travel the cycle of seven chakras at great speed.

With each cycle the ball traveled, it was stained with the unique light of each of the chakras. By the time the energy ball lost its momentum and started slowing down, it was like a ball of rainbow light.

The energy ball finally returned to the Crown chakra and stopped there. It started to mold and deform by itself, transforming into a huge ancient door with multicolored patterns forming various runes.

The final step was complete. As soon as he opened this door, Rudra would be in his unique mental space. It was there that his special Beast Taming ability resided and where his mental energies from his meditation sessions would be stored.

Rudra opened the door and stepped into a large blank white space. It seemed to stretch on for infinity and was almost empty. He said almost because there was a large and thick leather-covered book-like object, placed on top of a white marble pedestal barely a dozen feet away from him.

When Rudra went ahead and opened it with his mind, he was surprised. Instead of having pages, it had dozens of thick metallic sheets that were covered in runes and had small rectangular slots with transparent covers. Rudra recognized what it was, but he couldn't imagine that he would awaken this type of special ability.

"A Card Holder…" Rudra mumbled as he stared at it in silence. Card-type special Beast Taming powers were a subset of Inner Space-type powers. However, instead of storing directly storing the Tamed Beasts in their mental space, the Beast was transformed into cards and stored in manifested Card Holders in the mental space.
