Chapter 43: Exposed
We are currently heading home after our date which halfway through, turned out to be a hangout session with Rose and Jisoo but luckily Irene didn't mind and seemed to enjoy it. As we were driving home I felt Irene staring at me with puppy dog eyes so I asked "what do you want now??" in a fed up tone because I know those eyes, those were the eyes she gives me when she wants something. "We're nearing a McDonald's drive thru" she said hoping I'd catch on but I just ignored her which made her anxious so she said. "let's go through and get some snacks." while squeezing onto my hand which was holding hers on her lap. "We just had dinner about half an hour ago and you know that you'll get in trouble for eating junk food.... I already bought you lots of snacks at the movies and while hanging out with Jisoo and Rose, if you eat more your manager will try to "educate me on nutrition" again." I said in a firm voice that didn't last long as I saw her with a sad expression while rubbing my hand. She knows my weaknesses and exploited it, which resulted in me quickly caving in "Argh fine.. What snack do you want.. How about an Ice cream??"
"A burger" she said in a soft voice. "Ya! You call that a snack." I said while laughing at her schemes to get food, while I was laughing she kept on looking at me with a pleading look. "OK, ok let's go" I said and drove towards the drive thru. "Yes, you're the best babe!!" she said and gave me a kiss on the cheeck 'you'd say anything for food' I thought while looking at her satisfied expression while we placed our order. While we were waiting for our food I zoned out looking at the street light and Irene was doing something on my phone, 'why my phone??? Well she says her phone "is out of battery" but I know she just wants to go through my phone to get something on me so she can use it against me but what can she get?? I'm clean af boi' I thought as I smirked until I heard "Babe" I got scared for a moment because I thought she found some dm's from my fans and didn't want her to misunderstand but when I turned around and looked at her weird smile, I knew it wasn't that. 'That's the smile she gives when she gets caught while doing something... I remember that smile when I entered her room through the window when she was changing.' I thought while smiling but she quickly snapped me out of it by saying "Ya! You have that perverted smile again.... Don't make me punish you." which quickly made me sit upright and look at her with an innocent expression.
"What's happened?" I asked while looking at her with curiosity but that changed when she handed me the phone and I saw what was on it.... It was an article that had pictures of Irene and I on our date, all the way from the movies where she had her head on my shoulder, to while we were walking to the car holding hands 'Wtf, I was sure nobody could see us in the movies when I booked those seats and the parking lot was empty when we left.... So how did they take these?' I thought while looking at the pictures with the same smile as Irene. "What are we going to do?" Irene asked me with a look hoping for a solution. " *sigh* we can't hide it anymore, we were supposed to reveal it by doing a duet at the MAMA's and then announcing it after our performance according to the plans pd-nim and your agency had but it looks like that isn't going to be much of a surprise anymore." I said while reading the comments.

When Irene and I read these comments we saw the positive comments outnumbered the hate comments by alot but I could see Irene was looking a bit lost after reading the hate comments some of my fans wrote about her. I couldn't stand looking at her like that so I pulled her into a hug and said "don't take it to heart...haters gonna hate." while kissing her forehead which caused her to giggle. "Only you can be so cringy in a time like this babe" Irene said while kissing my cheeck and then said "it's fine though, I didn't expect to get everyone's approval, after all you're one of the most famous idols in the industry and you have millions of fans all around the world but it just made me a bit sad reading them." I felt relieved that she isn't taking too hard so I lightened up the mood.
"Mhmmmmm... Since it's like that, I don't think you have an appetite anymore, I'll have your snacks on your behalf" I said and took a bite from her burger. "YAA!! I'm still hungry, give it back." she said and pulled the burger out of my hand but not before I took another big bite making her pout. "Bwhahahahahah you look so cute when you get mad over food." I said while laughing at her face. "Don't make me mad otherwise I won't let you enter my room to visit me anymore." she said trying to threaten me 'pftt who you think you tryna threaten....let me show you how it's done' I thought and then said with a smirk and said "fine then I'll just climb into Seulgi's window which it next door to yours and visit her during the night instead." When she heard that her haughty expression vanished and became a cold one "I DARE YOU TO" she said while pinching my waist and giving me a death stare. " AHH AHHH AHHH ok, ok, I'm sorry, I was only joking." I said while in pain 'geez I forgot how scary she gets when she's jealous... Well I guess that backfired' I thought while rubbing my waist which was still burning after she let go.
