Chapter 24: With Twenty Questions in Between

"What is this, playing twenty questions, now?"

Keira mulled it in her head. "As long as you promise to answer truthfully."

"Me first," a grin broke on Nate's face. It didn't take much for him to get hooked.

She frowned, "I thought it was 'lady's first'?"

"Nah, I'm not sexist, so I'll go first."

Keira rolled her eyes at his offhand comment and unhinged opinion. "That's not how it works."

But, the fashionable man sitting behind the wheel merely brushed her argument aside. Instead, Nate asked her the most stupid question she could ever think of.

"Do you think I'm handsome?" He even sent her a hopeful look.

"All I can say is that your handsomeness is not enough for me to say yes and throw myself at you."

"Oh," he wiggled his eyebrows, "But you already did."

"I would never!" Yet, a night she had no recollection of made her pause. Suspiciously, she asked, "When?"
