Chapter 8: First Day (2)
"Starting from the back," Ms. Melinda suddenly said while pointing at me.
I regained my posture and stand up.
"My name is Kayn, Age 15" I reply to her and then sat right back down.
"Why didn't you say your last name?" Lawrence suddenly whispered to me.
"It can attract some unnecessary attention" I reply to him.
Lawrence looked at me with confusion after I replied to him,
I always thought fame can be too bothersome, and since I was a noble I immediately thought that there are people who would suck up to me just because I was a noble, I didn't like those kinds of people, there were people like that in my old world and I was 100% sure that there are people like that in the world too, that is why I didn't want to shout out to the class that I was a noble.
"Next" Ms. Melinda suddenly said.
"Ye-yes!" Lawrence suddenly stood up, he was surprised because he was too busy pondering on what I whispered to him.
"Introduce yourself please,"
"My Na-name is Lawrence, Age 15"
Ms. Melinda nods and Lawrence quickly sat down.
Ms. Melinda kept making the students introduce themselves for a while.
No one caught my attention until after 6 mins of people introducing themselves.
A girl with long red hair and blue eyes suddenly stood up, she had a slender physique and had large breasts.
Her beauty rivaled Ms. Melinda
"Lyla Eveque, Age 15"
She said and sat down.
Some of my classmates could not stop staring at her beauty.
She glared at them and they quickly stop staring.
"House of Eveque" I ponder to myself.
The House of Eveque is formidable, they have wealth and power, and most importantly they have a strong alliance with the House of Osborne, the current House that governs the Kingdom of Yean, they also have no shortage of talented mana users in their household, all of those facts make them a force to be reckoned with.
"huh? wait this is the Aura Class why is she here?" I thought to myself
"This could only mean one thing, she is the first one to have the potential for Aura instead of Mana in the house of Eveque" I deduced in my mind.
Ms. Melinda let out a small cough and gestured for the next student to introduce themselves.
A man stood up, a clear radiance of nobility can be felt around him.
He had blonde hair, and red eyes, his face was akin to a celebrity in my old world.
"Jack Osborne, 15," He said with complete confidence.
He sat down afterward, but the presence he emitted was still in the air.
I can notice the other female students blush as they take a peek at him.
Ms. Melinda then continued to make the students introduce themselves.
I was starting to fall asleep but then a voice snatched me out of my sleepiness.
"Ray Vespertine, 15" A voice echoed throughout the class.
I look at the one who spoke
He had white hair, brown eyes, and had a similar physique to me.
"Ray, It is forbidden to use your aura to amplify your voice"
"My bad, my bad" Ray replied with a mocking tone as he sat down.
"Wow, he already has Aura" Lawrence whispered to me.
"Jack and Lyla probably have already awakened Aura too" I reply to him.
I was busy talking to Lawrence until another beauty caught my eye.
She had black hair, red eyes, and a slender physique.
She might be lacking in the breast department but her beauty made up for it.
"Melissa Luna"
It took me a great deal of mental strength to look away but I succeeded.
I look to my side and see Lawrence completely captivated by her.
I look to my table and rest my head.
I close my eyes and didn't realize I'd fallen asleep.
I awoke to Lawrence poking me to wake up.
I look around and it seems that the introductions are finally over.
"Okay, now introductions are over, follow me to the training chamber" Ms. Melinda then ordered us.
She gestures for us to stand up and follow her.
We stand up but then.
"Oh let me rephrase, only those who don't have Aura can follow, the rest wait for when Mr. Brian arrives then you can follow him to the Aura Chamber"
Out of the 300 students, only 4 people didn't stand up and they were Jack, Ray, Lyla, and Melissa.
We follow Ms. Melinda to the training chamber.
The training chamber is huge, there were training dummies everywhere and a large array of weapons can be seen on the side just being displayed.
There was a pillar with an orb in the middle of the training chamber.
Ms. Melinda then approaches it and orders us to form a line.
We form a line before the pillar.
"Okay, students one by one you will approach the orb on the pillar, then you must let the orb taste a drop of your blood"
Ms. Melinda then gestures for the first student on the line to come forth.
The student then grabs the knife near the pillar and cuts his palm.
Blood gushes forth and into the orb.
The orb shines and magically grabs a weapon from the array of weapons on the side.
"Oh? looks like you have the affinity for a hammer"
This continued for a while before one student refuses to approach the orb.
"Are you scared of pain?" Ms. Melinda asks the student
"N-No Ma'am" It's just that I'm not feeling well can I be dismissed?
The Student was nervous and was sweating buckets.
Ms. Melinda then grabbed the student's arm and forced him to bleed.
As the Student's blood touched the orb.
The orb then started to emit a dark aura.
Suddenly Ms. Melinda let out a murderous bloodlust.
She knocked out the student instantly and then proceeded to take something out of her pocket.
It was the Crest of the Academy, she then started to talk to it.
"Hey, we have someone who has death affinity here please call Ms. Leah"
Not a moment too soon, a beautiful girl, she had silver hair that was neatly tied up in a bun, and brown eyes, she had a mature physique and wore similar clothes to Ms. Melinda.
Next to her were some knights bearing the crest of the academy.
"We will take care of this," she said as she put the unconscious student on her shoulder
They leave the room as quickly as they entered.
"Okay! Let us continue" Ms. Melinda's voice suddenly echoed throughout the chamber.
