Chapter 61: Oh X Yeah!
'Okay… so Gon is probably up there and the people who caught him are? *sigh* I'm drawing blanks but I want to say it was Nobunaga?' quickly scaling a fire exit before jumping onto the rooftop of the adjacent building. Light on my feet, I closed in on the building I presumed to contain Gon based on their previous crashing sounds, taking a second to look through the window of the building I saw three figures in the building from my vantage point from a
The first person I saw was a man in traditional Japanese (Japponese?) clothing with a sword at his hip. Mentally noting that Nobunaga was there I looked over his shoulders to see the second person who was Gon. He was currently in a defensive stance as his eyes kept moving from Nobunaga to another part of the room that was mostly obscured. Leaving the third figure, who I could only spot the bottom part of their legs which wasn't telling me much.
"Well… here goes." muttering under my breath as I took a few paces back on the roof before turning around as I began to sprint toward the building Gon was trapped in currently. And as I reached the edge of the roof I pushed off the ground with all my strength as I leaped towards the other building, crossing the gap between buildings created by the alleyway underneath me.
"!!!" as I was about two-thirds of the way to the window Nobunaga looked behind him for a second before a surprised look reached his face as his body turned to face me.
'Yeesh… those are some instincts.' kicking my leg out as I began exiting a state of Zetsu, I wrapped my extended leg from my foot all the way up the length of my leg up to the waist in my Hatsu. Aiming for my lunge to be at Nobunaga's center of mass, allowing me to immobilize him for a moment and get within the room. However…
*CLING!* With my boot meeting the quickly drawn blade, I was for a moment pushed out the window. That was before my Hatsu kicked in, taking the alarming amount of force behind that sword strike and channeling it within the opposite direction of the blow. Thus shooting me forwards into the room, though instead of slamming Nobunaga into the ground I only made him stagger back a few steps.
"...I feel like I should make some sort of witty announcement? Uh, 'mind if I drop in?'" slowly moving a few steps into the room, I took in my surroundings as I finally saw the third figure who turned out to be Phinks. Something I was pleasantly surprised with, or at least as pleasant as I could get in this situation. Mostly due to these guys being mostly physical close-quarters attackers allowing me to hopefully get out of here in one piece.
"And who the hell are yo-" Stepping forward, ignoring Gon for the moment Phinks slowly closed the distance between us with a dangerous look on his face.
"Magenta!" Using the fact that no one was paying attention to him, Gon ran towards me as we both stood in front of the window. Though him loudly shouting my name was something I really didn't need right now… Considering the number of resources or Nen abilities that could track me with just a name isn't the most cheerful thought.
"I know, I know, the color looks wonderful on me… Regardless, I'm here to you up, I mean it is pretty dangerous around these parts. " gesturing to our surroundings and even pointing out the door and into the alleyway to make my point. Though it probably came off like me sounding like an dickhead if the looks everyone was giving me were anything to go by.
"Seriously, It would be awful if something happened to him. I mean imagine if some creeper tried to get all touchy-touchy with him. Oh wait, we got two adult men cornering him in a dimly lit room… how scandalous!" inching closer to the window with a hand tightly on Gon's shoulder, I kept alert for a sudden confrontation.
"That's enough you piece of shit!" now within roughly four feet from me, Phinks clocked his arm around once as a moderate amount of aura began collecting around his arm.
"Me and my big mouth…" pulling Gon by the shoulder and waist with a rushed urgency, I turned around with my back as I jumped in the air whilst shielding him with my body.
*CRASH*
{P.o.V Change}
"Woah keep at least one alive… preferably the kid, we need to ask one of them if they know the chain user." Stepping forward and looking at the missing wall of the room, Nobunaga looked around outside before peering down into the alleyway below.
*tch* "he was talking too much… besides Pakunoda and Machi should be taking care of the other person following you. No need to keep these two alive." wiping the dust from his fist on his pant legs, Phinks pulled out a small burner phone while pulling up a message log.
"Then I guess we will have to finish the job then hmm?" Looking at the phone for a moment, Nobunaga nodded before sending out his aura in a large sphere as he held his sword at the ready.
"Though I am surprised he was able to take one of my punches, even if it was barely enhanced. Especially with how little aura he was using." looking over at his fellow troupe member, Phinks struck up conversation about the oddly dressed man who ambushed them. Though that casual demeanor of those was well justified by their apparent strength.
"Some sort of trick with his Hatsu… I think it may be some sort of parry or counterattack? He could enhance his hits as long as they met with our attacks, but it must be pretty weak as he was sent flying by your hit." Sharing what he noticed Nobunaga turned around as he sheathed his sword before ruffling around inside his kimono.
"So… Who's going to be the one to chase them down? Because I'd like to get back to the hideout now." Pulling his hand out from his clothes he presented a small gold coin and a slight smile whilst nodding his head towards the hole in the wall.
