Chapter 33: Ch. 33
(Rias PoV)
"Let's gather some food first before the night falls," Sona said while pushing up the rim of her glasses.
"Food? We don't need food we're devils. Instead of gathering some foods, we should already strike the Mystic Arts Faction while they're still not prepared!" Mob#1 scoffed and mocked her.
'Sin of Pride. I need to get rid of him, or else, he'll just be a hindrance to this team.' Sona muttered inside her head before shaking her head.
"Then how about you go then. After all, we're all devils, we should be superior to the Mystic Arts Faction, they're just lucky they've got some magic, right?" Instead of putting out the fire, she dropped oil on the fire, intensifying it.
Having a look of realization, "You're right! We are superior! Just wait for me! I'll bring the devils a great accomplishment!", Meanwhile inside the devil's mind, 'Hehehe, once I eliminated them, I'll achieve full glory! I might even be recommended as a Satan! Guahahahahaha!' The devil then released his wings and flew off.
Rias and Sairaorg didn't care about this, Sona is their strategist and the brain of the group and besides, they could see that the devil will be a hindrance to the team.
While Mob#2 was just following the command of Rias, after all, she was the sister of the strongest devil.
'If there is one thing the devils are not superior against the humans. That'll be their minds.' Sona mentally said while staring at the flying devil.
"Why do we need food? After all with our physique, we don't need food, right? Our devil energy will take care of our needs." Rias was a bit confused about gathering food.
Sona sighed, her team didn't research. "From what I've gathered from the previous devil participators, every night their hunger increases by a hundred times," Sona said.
"I see." Rias nodded slightly, she should have also researched.
"But they said that we should not rely on their experience. According to them, they've done the same only to be disappointed because sometimes the settings of the world changed, the locations of the temples are different, and many more. So there is a possibility that there'll be no increased hunger at night but instead, the food might be scarce." Sona explained before continuing.
"We've been searching for animals for an hour now and we can't even find one." Sona sighed while rubbing her temples.
"Don't worry, we'll find one sooner or later." Sairaorg tried to cheer her up.
"I hope. Though thanks for trying." Sona nodded at him while muttering the last sentence but Sairaorg still heard it and just chuckled and smiled.
(Outside the dimension.)
"Is this it?" A full-robed man whispered while staring at the monastery in a distance in front of him.
"Yeah! The artifact that Hades-sama needs should be inside." Another robed man said while glaring at the monastery. He is prepared to sacrifice his life for his master.
"Let's go!" Another robed man said, but this one looks more like the leader.
'This is a good chance! The Sorcerer Supreme is not here only a few sorcerers.' The leader mentally said while grinning. They'll just take an artifact and maybe steal a few more than leave. Soon they all entered the monastery as quietly as possible not knowing that a man was staring at them like a predator to its prey.
(Demiurge PoV)
'Someone has dared to enter my master's territory!' I mentally said while using a clairvoyance spell to stalk the robed guys who were about to enter the monastery.
'This is my time to shine. I'll show master what I can do.' I firmly said I want to prove to my master my worth.
Once seeing them enter, I send a signal to other sorcerers to block off all the entrances and seal the space inside the monastery.
Meanwhile, the sorcerers were informed by Demiurge and did as he told. All the sorcerers already knew about Demiurge the Guardian Of The Sanctums. He was introduced by the Sorcerer Supreme himself.
And no questions were asked, all sorcerers believe the Sorcerer Supreme's decision, in their eyes, the Sorcerer Supreme is the most knowledgeable and the wisest of all living beings. It is not wrong to say that they're all fanatics.
Once they block the entrances and sealed the space, they send the message back to Demiurge and a huge explosion occurs.
(3rd PoV)
"It's too quiet." A robed man said while looking around. There are no sorcerers nor traps to fend off invaders, only silence.
"Pfft, the Sorcerer Supreme must be an idiot, maybe he's too confident that no one would trespass his home so he didn't bother putting traps. What a naive fool." Another robed man mocked and was about to continue when suddenly something pierced his chest.
Everyone was shocked and saw that it was a hand but its nails were longer and sharper. On its palm was a still beating heart of the robed man.
"How dare you slander my master!" They heard a voice and when they looked at the source, they saw a blue-haired man with glowing purple eyes but that is not what they were looking at. They're currently looking at the man's head and whole body.
Red horns and a red-blackish tail waving on his back. Sharper teeth and spiked hair.
Demiurge pulled his arm off and gripped the robed man's heart until it explodes in a spray of blood.
"Y-you f*cker!" The leader shouted in anger before continuing, "Kill him!" The rest of the robed men charged at Demiurge and they all brought out scythes of varying sizes.
Demiurge squinted his eyes and muttered, "Grim Reapers." He tilted his head to dodge a speeding fireball before counterattacking by manipulating the ground beneath them into spikes and stabbed.
Some dodged while some were unfortunate and were injured. Demiurge then raised his arm to block the scythe that was coming at him.
*Ting!*
The scythe managed to hit Demiurge's arm but his arm was fine without a scratch.
"Is that all you've got?" Demiurge mocked them before casting tak mandalas and blocked the huge incoming scythe at him.
"Hahaha! Die." The one who struck his Tao mandalas was the leader who laughed and yelled.
Demiurge just randomly kicked behind him, "Oof!" Behind Demiurge was a Grim Reaper who was kicked on his chest and was knocked back, destroying some tables and furniture.
The other Grim Reapers finally got scared and tried to escape the horror house.
The leader saw this and yelled in anger, "Don't leave me you fools!" When he saw that they were not coming back, he got a bit scared.
But he is not the leader of a group of Grim Reapers for nothing. So he swung his scythe again and again with Demiurge casually fending off all his attacks with his tao mandalas.
Slowly, the leader was finally feeling fear again ever since he was punished by Hades a hundred years ago.
"I'm done playing." Demiurge lazily said before disappearing and appearing behind the leader.
"W-wai-!" Before the leader could even beg for his life, his skull was separated from his neck.
Demiurge licked his sharp nails before closing his eyes and used a mana wave to detect the position of the Grim Reapers and he felt them stuck at the entrance.
Meanwhile, the Grim Reapers were trying to teleport but it seems like the space was blocked along with the entrances.
"A-are we gonna die?!" One of the Grim Reapers fearfully said.
"Fool! We're already dead!" One of the Grim Reapers who were trying to slice the door in front of him yelled at him in anger.
"Why leave?" Then they heard a cold voice at the end of the hallway.
When they look at the source, they saw their own Grim Reaper slowly walking toward them while his nails were slowly growing out of his fingers.
Demiurge grins showing his sharp teeth making the Grim Reapers more scared.
"W-wait!" One of them tried to beg for his life but they already saw Demiurge rushing toward them.
"KYAAAAAAAHHH!!!!"
"MAMAAAA!"
"YAMETEE!!!!"
Only the screams of despair were heard at the entrance of the Monastery.
