Chapter 67: Ch. 67
After having his fun with the lightsaber, he finally proceeded toward the gift that he was getting excited for.
As the Sorcerer Supreme, it is inevitable for him to not be excited when discovering a whole new system of magic.
And it is his Job to be the first one to use it, in this world.
So without any more thoughts, he took out the knowledge of the Tier Magic.
In his hand is what appeared to be a ball of black light, floating silently in the palm of his hand.
Then, without hesitation, he directly pushed the ball of light deep inside his chest, until it phased through inside him, disappearing slowly.
Once that was done, a new form of memories appeared on his head, giving him a slight headache because of the intrusion of large amounts of knowledge.
However, he soon recovered quickly and Xyrus then reviewed the Tier Magic he received.
The first thing he noticed was the categorization of tiers' magic.
There was Tier 0, Tier 1, Tier 2, and so on. The higher the tier is, the stronger the magic it has.
Not only that, each tier has useful magics, like in Tier 0, a spell where you can conjure drinkable water, which is very useful for survival.
Then there is Camouflage in Tier 1, a spell that allows the caster to change their skin color to blend in with their environment, which is useful in spying, and assassinations.
Then there is also one more useful spell in Tier 1, which is the spell, Clean. As the name says, it cleans anything organic and inorganic. It could even clean a wide room.
Let's not mention the incoming Tiers, which are very powerful that Xyrus might think that Tier Magic is more powerful than his magic if it wasn't for the Magic Circles that appear when you cast a spell.
To Xyrus, this is very troublesome because it can give your opponent the hint that you're attacking and they might also possibly cancel your spell.
That's why Xyrus still thinks Eldritch Magic is the more powerful.
Then Xyrus proceeded to scroll through his knowledge of Tier Spells.
The more he scrolls, the more he felt shocked that courses through his body.
In his opinion, Tier Magic is very terrifying. Just the Tier 1 or 2 magic could bring a normal magician to a Master Magician.
Let's not mention that he has the full knowledge of the Tier Magic.
If he can remove the Magic Circle during Casting, then Xyrus is confident that he can defeat Great Red just by relying on the Tier Magic alone.
However, there is one thing that Xyrus frowned upon. And that is the Necromancer Spells that could summon, create, shape, and even turn yourself into an Undead Being.
Xyrus isn't someone who judged someone based on their magic or appearance, but anything that relates to Death is something worth being frowned upon.
Unlike other spells, Necromancing Spells are much more stronger than normal spells, however, it has their own side effects like corrupting one's soul, or turning you into something hideous hence why it is frowned upon.
However, that doesn't mean that Xyrus would lock the Necromancing spells away, who knows, maybe it could be useful in some difficult situations.
So after skimming through the Tier Magic, it is finally time to test the Magic.
The first thing he did was to enforce the walls with runes such as Impenetrable, Anti-Magic collision, Isolate Mana, and many more, just in case the Tier Spells were too strong for the walls to withstand.
Once he was done with that, he started with Tier 1 first, since Tier 0 isn't something fancy.
'[Tier 1: Camouflage]' Xyrus mutters in his mind, then a wide Magic Circle appeared in his body before it disappears.
Xyrus first checked his hand and saw that it was indeed blending in with the surroundings, just like a Chameleon.
Xyrus smiles in delight, it looks like it worked!
Xyrus doesn't have any stealth spells in his arsenal, except for some spells like Deviation Spell, which makes everyone around you avoid looking at your position in a short amount of time.
Deciding to test the spell, Xyrus portaled out of the room and appeared in an alley.
Stepping out of the portal, Xyrus could see that it was already dark, and it is the perfect time to stroll around.
And so he did, and much to his expectation, some passersby didn't see him, and one of them almost collided with him, if it wasn't for him avoiding.
Xyrus felt like a child who got his first gift. So casually strolled around, sometimes patting someone on their backs, which scares them terribly.
Once he had his fun, he was about to go back when he saw a glimpse of Akeno and Shang-Chi holding hands and was walking lovey-dovey on the sidewalks.
Xyrus was happy for them. He's not a very strict teacher that forbids his student from physical relationships. Instead, he even encourages them to feel love, because it is part of their emotions and it is what makes them human.
Even though Akeno isn't exactly a full-blooded human, she still has the blood of a human, as for Shang-Chi, he is a certified human.
So without interrupting the lover's date, Xyrus quietly portaled back home.
He's not jealous of their relationship, in fact, he himself has indulged himself in a physical relationship.
But he broke up with her sooner, because he found it more boring than teaching some students.
Detaching himself from the past, Xyrus finally entered the portaled and was once again back in the same room earlier.
He then proceed to test some more tier magics.
One of his favorites spells are, [Tier 3 - Lopsided Duel], a spell that bounds the caster to the target such that whenever the target tried to flee by teleportation, both caster and target would appear in the same place.
Not only can his opponent not escape from him, but he could also ride along with him, which should be fun.
Then there is also [Tier 3 - Slow] Which slows the target deliberately.
This could be useful in many situations.
There are also many more spells, that he wants to try but it's gonna take his time, so he stopped at Tier 3 and decided to continue, maybe tomorrow or next week.
Removing all the runes that he placed on the walls, he then finally decided to have a sleep.
It has been years since he last slept, so he wanna feel it again.
