Chapter 2: AGAIN-2

His purple eyes seemed to glow in the dark when he looked up, but he didn't move. Instead, the tendrils moved. They shot up so quickly at the man, passing right through his chest. He hung in the air, held up only by the tendrils. His sword clattered to the floor. He raised his hands, trying to hold the tendrils, but his hands passed right through.

Slowly, he turned his head to look behind him but coughed out blood. The tendrils held his still-beating heart behind him, and his blood constantly dripped onto the floor.

No one understood why he was still alive, or how his heart still beat, but suddenly his body exploded, and his blood spread out everywhere. The pungent smell of blood hung in the air, assaulting their noses.

The girl was nauseated. She couldn't see well in the dark, so she didn't know exactly what happened, but the clattering sword and sounds of an exploding body mixed with the thick scent of blood made her hair stand on end. The fear she felt was no little. Fearing what might happen to her, she started to crawl in the opposite direction,

" Where do you think you're going?" The man she thought was focused on the boy turned and walked to her. He grabbed her by her hair and raised her. She felt like her scalp was going to tear.

"Let me…go!" She cried, struggling to get away from him.

The tendrils around the boy's arm started to sink back into his hand. They came together in the form of a black ball in his palm. He grabbed it, and a black sword emerged, materializing out of nothing into his palm. His eyes darted around like he was searching for something, and anyone his eyes fell on even for a split second felt afraid, but then he disappeared right before their eyes, and before they knew it, a wail rang out, coarse, inhuman, and filled with fear. The sound ended abruptly, and another, not too close to the last one, also ended abruptly.

The girl's heart beat faster, beads of sweat appearing on her forehead. She thrashed in the man's arms, wanting to escape. The cries, the unnerving stench of blood assaulted her nose, the fear within that kept multiplying, the strong grip of the man. She just wanted to leave this gruesome scene.

He gripped her strongly, his face in an unsightly frown. It took time to see what was going on. The boy seemed to be possessed as he dashed here, and there, claiming a life anytime he stopped. His tendrils were replaced by a dark sword with a dark aura emanating from it like black flames, and smoke. His movements were quick, and flawless, which made the men think he was disappearing and reappearing. In a matter of minutes, the dozens of men were all dead gone. The only remains of them were the pools of blood, some even splattered on the walls, and their mangled flesh, and twisted bodies.

All was silent, and still. Nothing moved, and all were gone, except the boy, the man who seemed to be the leader of the gang, and the little girl he held in his custody. The boy was some distance away from him, shoulders slumped, and his head bowed. He raised his head to look at the girl. Lightning flashed just then as if waiting for that moment.

The boy's eyes met with the girl's, and she sucked in her breath. She saw so many emotions in those eyes, even fear. The man was quick to see that movement, the tense look in the boy's eyes,

"Stop right there!" he shouted at the boy just when he took a step towards him. He quickly pulled out a dagger and held it close to the girl's neck. She held her breath when she felt the cold object on her neck. The boy didn't seem to mind as he slowly walked forward, his footsteps sloshing the thick red liquid at his feet. His sword dragged on the ground, but no sound was heard from it. The blood it touched turned to black liquid. What is wrong with this kid? Isn't he afraid she might die, or he doesn't even care for her life?

"I'm warning you! I'll kill her if you don't stop! ," he growled, pressing the dagger closer to her neck. A squeal escaped her as a thin red line appeared on her neck. The boy frowned, and his eyes turned black.

"What?!"The man exclaimed. The boy was nowhere in sight, and the girl suddenly appeared there in his place. She fell on her knees coughing and gasping for air. She looked forward, and her eyes widened in disbelief, but then she felt something hit her head, and then lost consciousness, falling onto the bloody floor The man was just looking down when a sharp blow under his jaw threw him back. He stabilized himself and saw the boy glaring at him.

"Impossible," he cursed under his breath. He wiped some blood from his mouth, and with the same trembling hand, tried to pull out his sword, but before he could do so, the boy shot toward him. He barely escaped with only a small cut on his abdomen. He's fast. If I hadn't acted quickly enough, I might have been killed. He broke out in a cold sweat but smiled suddenly.

"That girl of yours. I shot something at her. If you don't attend to her she will die. I wouldn't act so rash if I were you, prince. She's already hurt because of you, don't let her die because of you too."

The man said sinisterly. He took the bait he thought, looking at the boy standing still. He drew his sword, and let its point touch the floor discreetly. tiny crystals slowly crept up the sword, and that deeply satisfied him.

The boy looked over his shoulder at the girl, and the image burned in his mind. She's hurt. Just as he turned back at the man, the man slashed at him and several crystalline daggers shot toward him. He disappeared at the point of impact, and only a dark mist remained, in which the daggers disappeared completely. The man now frowned as he looked around. He let his energy fluctuate as he probed around. He couldn't sense the little devil, and that put him unease .in the span of a second, he used the sword to draw a circle around him. several white crystals came up from the ground, swirling around him.

Something was rushing towards him and he saw it just in time to control the crystals to move over to receive the impact. Whatever it was disappeared instantly, but he was sure of the size, a palm. He sensed it again, coming from behind and the crystals moved again, to take the impact, but it disappeared just before touching the crystals, and he felt a pain in his back. A cut could be seen, a shortcut that was on his left shoulder blade. He was caught off guard and before he knew it, another similar cut appeared on his chest, this time slightly longer.

He braced himself for the worst and instantly the crystals started to spin quickly around him. He thought he was safe, but his safety lasted only a few seconds before a sharp blow from under his jaw threw him back. The crystals all fell and he balanced himself, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. He was more than shocked when he saw that the boy was only a few steps away from him, and was walking towards him.

The boy was silent and made no sound as his body shot toward the man. The man raised his sword to block the attack, but then, the boy disappeared, and another sharp blow knocked him from behind. Before he could react, he felt a force coming towards him. He dodged it quickly, but a deep cut was left on his right shoulder, and the boy was there right in front of him again. He disappeared again, and before he could even blink, a gut-wrenching pain spread from his wrist and his sword fell. he felt the urge to scream but didn't as he saw that his wrist had been cut cleanly, and blood gushed out. His heart beat faster, and he was now afraid.

The hunter was now the prey.

He was left with only one breath of air before the boy's face appeared right before his, and pain spread from his chest. He painfully looked down and saw the dark sword of the boy implanted in his chest. more than half of it was in him then. His face contorted in pain as he raised his good hand to grab the sword, but his hand passed right through.

The part it passed through dispersed like smoke and then came back to form the sword. The boy quickly spun, and kicked him hard in the chest, throwing him back as blood spurted from his mouth. Just as he landed, the boy appeared in his line of vision, looking down on him.

"plea-" the man couldn't finish before the boy quickly planted his sword in his chest with a frown. He slowly twisted the sword, increasing the pain.

"You can choose to either eat your food immediately or play with it"

the childish voice of the little boy came out, dripping with venom.
