Chapter 12: Chapter 11: Goodbye
5 Years Later
'Alfred is my guardian and has been training me to fight, while I read and tinker with inventions in my downtime to make gear that will help me equal the playing field against those who have quirks. Alfred is like a second father to me and has helped approve my fighting ability exponentially. Another reason why I'm getting so strong is that I'm starting to merge with the original Batman and gaining some of his past experiences to make me stronger; due to the training, I'm receiving from him when I dream. My intellect keeps improving year after year as well, every time I merge with the memories of the original Bruce Wayne I seem to get smarter, and with that, I don't need a quirk, because I have a genius intellect.'
A young man said when talking to himself.
"Is everything alright Master Bruce?"
A striking man in his 60s asked a young man who seemed to be in his early teens.
"It's been 5 years since that fateful day, Alfred. My father is dead and my mother is no longer the same. She suffered serious brain damage and is now living in the past. She doesn't understand that my father is dead and now even needs a wheelchair to get around. Seeing what's become of my family makes me sad, but there's a lot of anger inside me and all I want is vengeance."
The young man who looks in his early teens but is only ten years old said in sadness but also anger.
'Since that day all I do is train not only physically but mentally. I want revenge so bad, but I need to be smart about it. I need experience and a plan that's the only way to defeat criminals who have what I don't, a quirk.'
"Young master Bruce I've trained you as much as I could for the last 5 years, but you should give up on your revenge and carry on your family's legacy with Wayne Enterprise. You don't have to risk your life out there, there are already enough heroes who can already help."
"Your wrong Alfred, people are dying what would you have me do?"
"Live, the life you want isn't a life there will always be more criminals."
I then cut Alfred off.
"There will always be criminals then that means I will always be there to punish them for their crimes. I'm not ready yet, but when I am, I'll make them feel fear like they do to the innocents around the city. I will be their vengeance, Alfred." I said with so much anger that it scared Alfred." Sigh, Alfred, you came to see me, was there something you wanted?"
"Yes, your mother and grandparents will be living soon, don't you want to say goodbye?"
"Yes, I'm coming. "
Both Alfred and I headed downstairs to see my mother Martha and my grandparents. My mother is going to be put into a mental health center because she wasn't getting any better since the attack 5 years ago. My grandparents are getting old and have their own health issues, so aren't able to take care of her 24/7 anymore, and Alfred isn't qualified to be her caretaker; he is also busy being my guardian. We are moving her into a place in Tokyo, while my grandparents are moving to be closer to her. I will be staying in my family home with Alfred.
"Good morning Bruce, get ready for school, and remember we're going to go to the movies with your father after you are done!"
My mother said after seeing me when I came down the stairs.
"Okay mother, I understand."
"You're a good boy you know that don't you, Bruce."
"Yes, mother."
I said with sadness. I don't really like talking to my mother much because it makes me sad. She still thinks I'm a little 5-year-old kid and that my father is still alive. That's what villains do they hurt innocents for their own selfish desires. I then said goodbye to my grandparents and my mother before they left for Tokyo and went back into the house to think about the future.
'I need to leave soon and get trained by some of the best fighters in this world. I'll leave Wayne Enterprise to Alfred while I do that. Maybe I can find Stendhal and Knuckleduster to train me, but I already have a few candidates around the world who I should prioritize to train me first. I also need to put the training I already have into action by training with the best fighters in the world to improve my combat skills and combat sense. I'll then start my crusade against the villains of Japan.'
