Danzo was originally going to make Shikamaru energetic, so that he can use his intelligence to the greatest extent and benefit Konoha.

A cold-blooded and power-hungry Shikamaru is definitely a fearsome existence. With his intelligence no one would be able to see through his true face at all. The only one who has this ability would be Shikamaru's father, but which father likes to doubt his son. Maybe it will develop into a chess game between father and son.

Asuma on the other hand was way more obvious, his eyes looked like he would eat Kurenai at any moment making her feel a bit disgusted.
Suddenly he seems to have gotten a new idea and a smirk appeared on his face.
He turned his gaze towards Kurenai's lower part and unscrupulously admired it. He even felt his pant getting a little tighter.
Kurenai was very uncomfortable under his gaze and then asked him angrily.
"Asuma what are looking at?!"
Immediately a charming smile appeared on his face, he looked her in the eyes and said slowly.
"Are you still going to eat that, if not can I have a taste?"
The chips in the hand of Choji fell down and he looked at Asuma with his mouth agape. Ino and Hinata were ashamed and their faces turned red, Kiba got angry. Shikamaru's eyes flickered for a moment and then he returned to normal. Shino was just silent.
'As expected of Shino.'
Kurenai herself was stunned for moment and then immediately hid her body with her arms. Her face got red but not from shyness but from anger.
"Asuma! How can you say such a disgusting thing. There are children here!"
Asuma misunderstood the redness on her face and got even more confident.
"So if the children are not here it's fine? Don't worry baby, tonight we will fill the missing letter in your name."
"Stop talking! And what letter are you talking about?"
"Of course there is a D missing in you Hehe."
"Akamaru bite him!"
Kiba couldn't hold back anymore and attacked together with his dog, but it was easily resolved by the confused Asuma.
"Why are you attacking me? Wait...I get it. Are you jealous? Don't worry young one. I am not stingy with my knowledge about women towards my fellow Konoha ninjas.
After this is over I will show a good place for us men to relax."
"Shut up! Hinata, Kiba come, we are leaving!"
"Yes sensei!"
They immediately ran after her, leaving a confused and sad Shino.
'If I never get noticed, do I really exist? Has a life, that always gets ignored have a meaning?
Should I...just kill myself? No one will care about it anyway.'
Shinos facial expression didn't change at all, but his thoughts got more and more depressed. But...no one cares. Danzo didn't even have the desire to change him.

Sadly her wish didn't come true, because as soon as Kurenai disappeared, Asuma's gaze turned towards her.
"Hey hey Ino-mouse, if you want to get stronger, how about you stay afterwards for some one on one training?"
"NO! I am twelve, you disgusting bastard, I am going to tell my father about this! You look like a unhygienic uncle, even if you were the last man on earth I wouldn't want to have anything to do with you.
As a matter of fact, I had suicidal thoughts after seeing your visage for the first time. BYE!"
She had enough and just ran away, without caring about her teammates. Asuma didn't seem to be bothered by it, instead he whistled.
"A fierce one hmm? I like conquering this type the most."
