Chapter 8: Fighting part 2
With three late rank 1 rats heading my way I infused Ryou with mana according to the Dragon Blade Style and crimson flames began to emit from the blade.
All three of the rats attacked me at once with two jumping at me and one charging at me on the ground.
CLANG
I swung my sword knocking the first rat into the second rat. "GAAAHHHHH!!!" I couldn't help but scream out loud as the third rat thrust its claws into my legs.
SHLK
Recovering quickly I thrust Ryou through the rats head. ' Damn it! Even with using Dragon Blade Style it took alot of effort to peirce through it, I need to create the first seal if I am to survive this.'
Removing Ryou from the rat there was barely any blood since the wound was almost cauterized by the crimson flames that Ryou was emitting. Stepping over the rats body I faced the other two as they were standing up. "COME ON YOU DAMN RATS!!!!"
FWOOSH
A massive flame burst from Ryou as I poured a flood of mana into it. 'I need to kill these rats quickly and eat their hearts in order to absorb the mana within their flesh.' Charging at the rats I raised my flaming sword and swung it at one of them as it jumped at my neck.
SLICE
With a combination of the powerful flames and sharpness of Ryou the rat was sliced in half. The last one in a fit of rage through its self at me.
SLICE
Sidestepping I dodged the rats attack and like the previous one I cut it in half. Cutting off the mana going into Ryou but still circulating the Supreme Dragon Seal Exercise I grabbed their hearts and quickly cooked them with my flame and ate them. Due to me circulating the Supreme Dragon Seal Exercise, they were digested fast and I could feel my mana refilling.
Quickly resuming my spot in the defense I looked ahead for the next rat monster that I would be fighting. "SHIT!" I couldn't help but curse out loud as there was an initial rank 2 rat headed my way. 'I can barely kill late rank 1 rats now I have to fight one that's a whole level above me!'
FWOOSH
Gritting my teeth I once again ignited Ryou and began to furiously circulate the Supreme Dragon Seal Exercise in an attempt to break past the barricade and create the first seal.
BANG!!!
The jumped at me and I blocked its claws but I was sent flying back from the force of the blow. Getting back up I could see it running at me again, running at the rat we collided its claws vs my sword. Once again I got knocked back but this time I managed to stay standing. Building up momentum to break the barrier and create the first seal I once again clashed with the rat.
SHLK
Despite blocking one of its claws its other one managed to peirce my side. "AAAAAHHHHHH" Letting out a loud yell I shoved the rat back while cutting its leg. I released the momentum I had built and the wave of mana crashed onto the barrier shattering it and my first seal began to form.
