"You have to remember, the calamity followed one of your daughters. While others will neutralize, some feelings have not been avenged, and the sins of our pure blood race will soon have their consequences. One of them, to be the first wolf to find her mate at such a young age is disastrous."
Teresa remembered her father's last words before he disappeared, all of which made her regret this time. Why did she only have to remember the calamity that came, but not keep the neutralizer of the calamity to be a calming after?
Her father said that one of her daughters would be a disaster, and the other would be a neutralizer of the calamity to make peace. Teresa and Antoni were so focused on the disaster that they became overly nervous when they found out that their second daughter met her mate at the age of 15 and then 1 year later. Mate Grace was declared dead as a result of an attack from a rogue group that crossed the border, her daughter was so devastated.
She even ran away from home to see the realities of her mate, she was found in the rainforest which is right where Sean, Grace's mate was attacked by the rogues.
After that incident, all the attention that Teresa and Antoni put into comforting her without thinking about Shireen's feelings. They thought that their eldest daughter had grown up and would understand when the future was told the truth. They escaped all the unfair treatment that hurt Shireen so deeply.
Teresa and Antoni thought Grace could gladly endure disaster on their werewolf family. But in fact, it couldn't destroy their family like it is now. Teresa had made the wrong decision, she had thought wrong.
"Today mother made your favorite apple pie, I have cut apples too. There is soy milk that the mother just made, you will like it. I'm sorry that I'm only making all of this now, tomorrow I will bring you venison which I drenched in your favorite sweet sauce too…" Not feeling a drop of a tear falling from her eyes.
Teresa had come often even to sleep in Shireen's room these past few months, and Teresa realized that this room was too simple and cold for the young lady from the beta family. In contrast to Grace's room which is so luxurious and sparkling.
"Today, your father hugged mother lovingly. And I just realized, these past few weeks of ignoring your father's existence. Your father should have been sulking, but it's too late for your father to comply with this selfish mother's wish." Teresa laughed at the end of the sentence while wiping the tears from her cheeks.
Teresa sat on Shireen's bed this afternoon looking at the tray of apple pie, soy milk, and apple slices on her daughter's bed.
"The waiter said, you often have breakfast here and ask the chef to make apple pie. It turns out that sitting here is fun, a mother should pay more attention to it. Maybe tomorrow mom will order the gardener to fix the flower garden, it looks a mess at the moment." Teresa said again looking at the flower garden from Shireen's bedroom window.
The room is at the back and directly faces the garden behind the house, a garden that has been neglected since my grandmother died. The garden no longer touched her, but Shireen was often in her dead grandmother's garden. That was what Shireen's maid said, even her eldest daughter's maid had resigned since finding out that Shireen had disappeared.
Her name is Melisa, she is Shireen's maid who burst into tears when she found out that she treated Shireen in front of many people so cruelly. She begged her first to ask alpha Jeremy to release Shireen from the cold prison, Melisa was the first to resuscitate Teresa.
So you can imagine how bad it must have been to be a mother to Shireen. No wonder even Shireen's last words haunted her, she still remembered Shireen's blank stare on the worst night of his life.
"Mother was never by my side, even to the end."
Remembering that, Teresa sobbed back with heartbreaking regret, she lowered her head covering her mouth with her hand.
"Sorry ... Please forgive me, please come back so that mother can atone for all these sins..."

Luis was conscious of a pack of red wolves around him, it was terrifying as his senses instinctively goosebumps and swiftly became alert. Waking up after intense pain knocked him unconscious.
But there is one person, who does not change his form into a wolf.
"Who are you guys?!" Luis asked in a wary tone.
7 male wolves have the aura of a warrior, if he fights then defeat will be his end.
"Hohoho, I thought you would be unconscious in the next few hours. It turns out that you came to your senses pretty quickly, even though Alpha hasn't even woken up until now." It's like talking to yourself.
His eyes didn't even look at Luis, he looked out of the cave where the entrance was already covered with snow. Luis looked at all the red wolves, these were identical to mixed-blood wolves. How do they know where the cave is hiding, or maybe.
"Where did you guys hide Shireen?!"
"Wow, you quickly realized it. Ah, even though it's still too early, it seems like the alpha has found it.~" Said the man in front of Luis in a witty tone, the man sat on the rock that Shireen used to sit on while waiting for the meat to be roasted by him.
"Liar!! You just said if Jeremy was unconscious, where did you take Shireen?!!"
"Oh, damn it. Take it easy, I won't do anything. I don't even know where the girl named Shireen you're looking for went, I'm here to make a deal with you, that's all." He said standing up to approach Luis who was still standing warily.
