Chapter 65: Funeral

One day after Max reportedly died because of heart attack, Maya received word that the father of the original body she used was buried in her family's suburban cemetery. Looking back at all the harsh treatment from that person, one would definitely not expect Maya to come to the funeral. Evan also deliberately didn't even discuss the matter in front of Maya. But unexpectedly, Maya herself came to Evan with furrowed brows and asked the man's permission to come to her father's funeral.

When Evan asked why Maya wanted to come to the funeral, Maya could only be silent because she didn't know the answer herself. Maybe it was her body's desire, or her body still had some pity for the man. Maya continues to feel uneasy since she heard the news that Max had died suddenly. She clearly hates irresponsible men like Max. Her heart, however, still ached as she remember the news over and over again.
