Samuel looked at this with surprise, different from the fear everyone else was experiencing.
Of course Samuel had seen many High Rank 1 Warriors through the eyes of hundreds of Dogs of War. Some of his Dogs of War had even sadly died to Rank 2 Warriors! So naturally he wasn't affected by the Aura.
However he was still surprised that Sabrina still had such a background!
''Everyone stands to welcome the previous head of the Flame Tribe Organisation! Sabrina Middleton's Grandfather, Old Man Middleton!'' An attendant at the base of the stairs immediately shouted out to the hall.
Following his statement, 10 Warriors from the Flame Tribe Organisation stood first and the rest of the warriors quickly stood at the same time!
The Flame Tribe Organisation was Sabrina's family's organisation. It is a Rank F Organisation however it was relatively powerful, originally having over 20 Warriors.
Unfortunately they participated in the Racial War and lost 10 of their Warriors. But now Sabrina is a sign of hope to bring the Organisation up to a Rank E Organisation!
So this old Grandfather naturally came out of retreat.
While everyone was focusing on Old Man Middletons power, Samuel noticed something peculiar.
Samuels own strength, although far from High Rank 1 Warriors, is still at the peak of Middle Rank 1 Warriors and he sensed something odd about the Grandads Fluctuations of power.
It was actually uneven, although faint Samuel could sense that another Aura was actually appearing! It's the Aura of a Second Rank Warrior!
If Samuel wasn't stronger than other Middle Rank 1 Warriors and had experience seeing a Rank 2 Warrior he wouldn't have seen the difference.
''This old fart was trying to break through to the Second Rank?'' Samuel was shocked by this realisation.
High Rank 1 Warriors have 300 Years Life Span, absolutely incredible. But that's not enough for most warriors, after all Low Rank 2 Warriors can double that directly!
Unfortunately Warriors with a 1 Inch Spiritual Root make up a majority of the Warrior Population, so how likely is it that they can break through to Rank 2?
However just because it's difficult doesn't mean it's impossible. Breaking through to a Rank 2 Warrior involves the process of turning your Spiritual Whirlwind in your body, into a puddle.
However each drop of liquid in the puddle has the same amount of Energy as the entire amount of energy in a High Rank 1 Warriors body!
The reason that 1 Inch Spiritual Roots can't break through, is that they can't absorb enough Spiritual Energy to break through before they die, or even if they could live forever.
After all, the Impurities built up will continue to increase and get even worse when they are older, and they absorb less than half of a 2 Inch Spiritual Root even normally!
But theoretically if they are lucky to find Spiritual Fruits, or they have a strong enough background to absorb herbs that provide Spiritual Energy, it is possible for 1 Inch Spiritual roots to break through to the second rank.
Clearly this Old Man Middleton, Middleton has more dreams than to be stuck in Rank 1. He is easily over 250 years old, leaving less than 50 years lifespan especially if he had previous wounds.
Samuel estimates that he has less than 30 years to live! And although 30 years is a long time, Samuel doesn't think it's enough for a High Rank 1 Warrior with no help to get enough Spiritual Energy to break through!
But Samuel guessed that Old Man Middleton was lucky enough to find a lot of herbs and fruits to procure enough Spiritual Energy to try to break through.
Although it seems like he failed Samuel believes he can easily try again. After all, half his aura has already been sublimated into Rank 2! So within the next 30 years the Flame Tribe Organisation might welcome a Rank 2 Warrior!
This inherently made Samuel feel a little afraid.
Although a High Rank 1 Warrior could be worn down by him, his eternal Guard, the other Middle Rank 1 Warriors and the low rank 1 Dogs of War. A Rank 2 Warrior is impossible for him to kill.
And Sabrina is likely to reach Middle Rank 1 or even High Rank 1 in the next 30 years as well! Or even higher if she successfully partners with the Son of Luck.
Now I think that I should make things clearer. The size of your Spiritual root can incredibly boost the speed of someone's practice and reduce the number of impurities that are absorbed.
2 Inch Spiritual roots can absorb double the amount of energy as 1 Inch Spiritual Roots. 3 Inch roots can absorb double the amount of 2 Inch Spiritual Roots and so on.
So if a 1 Inch Spiritual Root takes 30 years to break through to the Middle Rank 1, it would take 15 years for a 2 Inch Spiritual root to break through, 7.5 for a 3 Inch, 3.25 for a 4 Inch and so on.
Of course this is without the benefits of Spiritual Fruits. Take A1 for example, he was able to break through due to a lucky Spiritual Fruit find. Which directly cut his practice time by hundreds of percent.
But the trade for this is that his body is now filled with Impurities brought by the fruit.
As I mentioned Impurities are absorbed through the Spiritual energy, but it is also found in everything people eat, everything they drink and even things they touch.
If you imagine a pipe being a Warriors absorption of Spiritual energy, and the Impurities being dirt that blocks it.
A 1 Inch Spiritual root Warrior generally blocks 50% of that pipe by the time they reach Middle Rank 1 which directly halves their absorption speed. But A1 directly filled 80% of that Pipe!
On the other hand a 2 Inch Spiritual Root might fill 50% of that pipe by the time they become a High Rank 1 Warrior!
