Chapter 18: Otherworldly Soul Form
Snow Wind Family - Side Branch Courtyard - Inside Ye Xinghan's room.
Gyuutarou and Ume sit side to side with each other, while Ye Xinghan sit in front of them.
There were 2 soul crystals in front of them, because Ye Xinghan wanted to know their attribute and soul form.
He borrowed a lot of books as well from his uncle, Ye Zong. All of the books were related to demon spiritualist's soul form.
"This thing is called soul crystal. Have you ever tried to test your soul realm attribute?" Ye Xinghan asked both of them while lifting up one of the soul crystal.
"Of course we haven't" Gyuutarou replied with rolled eyes. "I didn't even know what to eat for tomorrow, much less thinking about luxury things such as this."
"Woah, this crystal is so pretty. It must be very beautiful to make jewelries out of this." Ume said as she inspected the crystal with sparkling eyes.
Ye Xinghan smiled slightly
"I'll explain it briefly.
A person's soul form and attribute can be viewed by pouring one's soul force into a brand new soul crystal. The form is determined by the shape, color, and movement of the soul force within the crystal. By observing this, the most appropriate cultivation technique can be determined. A person's cultivation would progress a lot slower and their potential power would drop if they practiced the wrong technique.
The worst case, you could end up being a cripple if you practice the unsuitable cultivation technique. ( Xiao Ning'er for example) " Ye Xinghan slowly explained. He asked both of them " What do you know about soul realm?"
Gyuutarou tilted his head slightly as he thought about it, then he replied " A person soul realm is determined by the color shown in soul crystal. A different color means a different potential. The result shown were naturally different as well.
So it is widely known that a talent could be ranked by their soul realm's color
Red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, azure, indigo
With red as the lowest talent, and indigo as the highest."
Ye Xinghan nodded, he said "Well, according to the common practitioner, that is indeed true. But what if i said, a person with red soul realm could be far stronger than the one with indigo realm?"
Gyuutarou lowered his head and deeply thought. After about ten second, he said "As you said earlier, it all depends on the cultivation technique they practiced."
Ye Xinghan smiled and clapped his hands, "Well, you are indeed smart. You didn't refute my words just because it differ from the ordinary common sense. I like that."
He continued, "The reason this ranking is determined was also the very reason the Snow Wind Family become the strongest family within Glory City."
Gyuutarou asked "What do you mean?"
Ye Xinghan replied, "It was because during the dark age, The Snow Wind Family's ancestor managed to preserved the cultivation technique suited for the cyan & azure realms.
While the technique for other was almost extinct, we, the Snow Wind Family managed to raise to the top."
Gyuutarou asked the loophole of the story, " Then why wasn't cyan color become the strongest talent of Glory City?"
Ye Xinghan smiled, "Do you know Glory City was created by Five Legend Ranked Demon Spiritualist?
The strongest of them was the friend of my ancestor, he was called Sheng Mu. The owner of a divine sword that was currently shield in deep inside of the academy.
And guess what? His soul realm color is Indigo."
Gyuutarou became amazed at the information he got, "How do you know all of this?"
Ye Xinghan curtly replied, "Read some books, and connecting the dots."
"Actually, there are a lot of cultivation inside the City Lord mansion for other color. But only a tiny fraction of them were translated. Because the ancient language was hard to decipher as well.
If only those books mysteries were unraveled. Then Glory City will usher a period of booming strength."
Gyuutarou asked "How many people know this information?"
Ye Xinghan replied "Only three of us, after all this is just my speculation.". He continued, "Enough talking, lets proceed. Grip this crystal on your hand and then focus to expel whatever energy you have inside your soul realm. Simply just like taking a sh*t." Ye Xinghan tossed a soul crystal to Gyuutarou.
Gyuutarou catched the crysal while muttered under his breath, "Why are u giving such disgusting analogy." Then, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
Ye Xinghan focused on the soul crystal.
It only took several second before the crystal start shining.
It was green!! And there were 15 tiny bubbles floating inside it.
But, Ye Xinghan didnt pay any attention to those. Instead he focused on the center of the crystal.
It was a long creature covered with emerald scales. The center of its head was a shining red crysal. It looked illusory, but he still noticed it.
And then, Gyuutarou opened his eyes. He was happy that he had green soul realm. Even though Ye Xinghan already explained it, but years of common sense was hard to replace within a span of hours. He asked, "How is it?"
Ye Xinghan wasted no time to talk. He immediately took a book out of a towering books that was already beside him.
He flipped page by page so fast that it was almost like a shadow.
Finally, he stopped at a page that was written in ancient language.
"Jade Phosphor Serpent?" (You guys know what it is right?)

Gyuutarou is poison expert in Kimetsu Yaiba. So, i will use the information and make the anime and my ff as related as possible (Including personality, abilities. Of course i tweak some of it to fit my story.)
