Goddess Helps me Simulate Cultivation is a story about someone, their name doesn't really matter considering the main character is irrelevant in this story. He unlocks a system that allows him to simulate another life in a simulated world and unlock rewards. However, he has bad luck so he never gets anything. So he forces someone else to do the slave labor for him, giving the other user small rewards while he gets the big ones. So, before anyone reads the premise and thinks "that sounds interesting", be warned, this is not a good novel. That premise was chosen so the author could raise the word count super easily. This novel is complete garbage. Translation quality is decent, nothing to be astounded by, but pretty good all things considered. (4/5 stars) Story development is terrible. First off, I wrote this review when there was around 120 chapters. If you wanted to, you could probably condense it to 30 chapters or less if you removed all the redundant text and useless information. It reads like a satire writing making fun of redundant writing/novels that focus too much on word count. It takes tens of chapters for a single point to come across, simply because we have three people who all have identical POVs/people discussing already known information. Aside from that, nothing is interesting about the story development. Not in the simulated world, and the real world is nigh-irrelevant. (1/5 stars) Character design is equally terrible. The main character simply doesn't need to exist. You could arguably written a better novel just by focusing more on the side characters and removing the main character entirely. I can't really say that the side characters have much of a personality, considering very little focus was put on them, and they aren't really interesting to begin with. (1/5 stars) World background is non-existent. Focusing on the real world first, all we know is that demonic cultivators exist, sects exist, itinerate cultivators exist, demon beasts, and a royal family. Not a whole lot that is interesting happened. Mostly face slapping weak mobs. As for the simulated world? It's just plain uninteresting. (1/5 stars) Overall, this novel is exceedingly awful. Nothing is really interesting about this novel aside from it's premise. You will find yourself not caring about anything really, mostly because of the sheer amount of redundancy in this novel.
Boring. It's just another simulation novel. The twist isn't even a twist at all. Effectively, the MC's name is swapped with someone else in the simulation. Just another power up fic.
Why is this locked at 15? Makes no sense since its suppose to be a free 19 chapters read....Webnovel trying to scam for more money then drop translations on novel like always GG.
Really a meh story, since the system got upgraded the story has become a list. First of all the mc is not the mc ( since the start of the book the mc was interesting only in the first 40 chapter after that the mc only stays at home with literally no adventures) at first it was ok because we could still read the adventures of the "human tools" but after the system got upgraded we only have a list and no story or background example: human tool 1: stays in a cave for 20000 years and cultivates to soul formation then dies. reward for the mc one upgrade in cultivation. That's literally the story. like That's it you have no adventure no background explanation. no enemies you are just told that they stay in a cave cultivate for Thousands of years and the mc gets super rewarded. However cultivation levels stop making sense, the mc advances super fast and the author dosen't bother to explain what each level does, you are just told that the mc is super strong and every 2 chapters the name of his cultivation level changes but again you will never be explained what it does. so to you it's all the same. All in all it started good and ended in shi*
It's really quite surprisingly good up until around C350 when the simulator gets an 'update' which is just a pure downgrade. From there on the only thing the story has to offer is 'Year 100, person 1 broke through to golden core' and so on, on and on. After that we get a simulation reward which is ludicrous and in a month or something they've all become top 10 strongest in the world. There was good plot before the simulator update but after that there's no plot at all. Characters are very 2d as well. Worth a read until the update.
Ever since the system got upgraded it became basically repeated breakthrough the story barely progress its not even telling what the other heroine doing in stimulation anymore like before
was kinda nice until chapter 215 or so in the raws.. after that simulator upgraded and author became lazy.. very lazy in fact.. very very boring to read.. in the real world all 3 tool people are very very stupid.. even though they have probably several thousand years of experience, experience in failing several times, yet make the most stupidest of mistakes.. especially the first tool person.. she's portrayed to be very very cautious in the sims and much much more cautious in the real world, but makes the stupidest mistakes in the real world.. honestly it's disappointing

A heads-up before my review, I only read a fair amount of the translation. Most of it was in the raws. The reason for my low score is due to quality drop in the untranslated portion. An important note is that the translator is splitting up chapters, as seems to be common on WebNovel nowadays. So expect the chapter count of anything I mention to be at least double in the translation. The story starts off fairly slow and uncreative. However, as more characters are introduced, and they start new simulations, the story improves a lot. It's fairly interesting to see how the characters change the timeline, as well as how their actions influence each other. There is a downside to this though, as the author likes to repeat a lot of the things that happened on previous attempts. It's obviously just padding/filler. He also drags on when talking about the rewards characters get for completing the simulations. At this point, I'd still give the novel a good ol' 4 stars (which is a good score). Unfortunately, after around 210 chapters (raw), the author suddenly had what appears to be writer's block. For a while, I thought he dropped the novel entirely, but he just released chapters sparsely. It would have been better if he went on hiatus. I got to a little over 240 chapters before giving up. It was over 30 (non-split up) chapters of tens of thousands of year time skips in the simulation with no explanations of any story events going on, rewards are exaggerated, presented in a troll-like way, and outright skipped, and basically everything in the real world is people being amazed at the various characters group. This isn't an exaggeration like people like to do about cultivation novels. This is LITERALLY ALL that happens during those 30 chapters. Absolutely nothing about the simulation world is explained in that time, just literally "several thousand years later, she broke through. Several thousand more years later, she was surrounded and killed". No names are even mentioned in the simulation aside from their real names. Rewards say things like, "an insane, insane, insane amount of spirit stones. Amounts beyond all belief. Amounts that would make an entire city of people satisfied for generations. A city, do you know just how much that is!?" In the real world, nobody past Nascent Soul has been seen or heard of, so once everyone reaches those levels, along with their rewards, there is no threat. The author doesn't bother to introduce any either, so nobody dares to do anything aside from marvel at their growth. Even worse, it doesn't seem like this would change anytime soon. It deserves absolutely only 1 star at that point. So giving this story 3.0 for a good first arc seems more than fair. Maybe even a little generous for people who prefer ratings to represent the entire novel.
*I'm writing this review after finishing this novel.* It was a somewhat fun read and I enjoyed reading it, even though there are several things that bothered me throughout the story which I will explain here below. 1) From the beginning till the last chapter, then translator constantly mixed up the way he addresses males and females. Sometimes for a female it is written as "He" or "Him". And for a male it is written as "She" or "Her"... This is just an example, however there are plenty of other annoying mistakes... I can say that the translation of this story was done poorly and I almost couldn't bear to continue reading it, so you should take that into consideration. 2) There wasn't too much of a plotline that would spur the MC to progress and train hard, nor were there any romance in his life even though there were times it could have fit in perfectly. 3) From chapter 400 plus, you could see the author kind of lost interest in the story and wanted to finish it as soon as possible, So all there was to the story was how the MC and his human tools progressed in their cultivation with no enemies to fight something else fun to read. 4) Since the author wanted to finish this novel as soon as possible, even though there was an ending to this story, it wasn't satisfying at all and there were left many unanswered questions... But despite all this bothersome things, I still enjoyed reading it and the concept of simulation and cultivation was somewhat cool for me and enjoyable. So all in all, if you are not bothered by this 4 points, I guess you will enjoy reading this novel, good luck!
I've read what's available, and honestly I really like it. reader The TL is solid, the pace is good, the characters are all distinct, and the world-building is quite decent too. welldone The MC isn't the highlight of this story- he plays a central role, certainly, but this novel focuses a lot on his 'human tools', and it's all the better for it. The pace could be improved a little - Chen Qianxue's segments of the story are already getting a bit dull, but the introduction of the new character makes it more palpatable. The concept this is about plays out really well, and I can't wait to see where it goes. More twists will have to be introduced so it doesn't get too stale, so this might fall off after ~150ish chapters, but the 40 here are solid. ehh The comedy is done nicely, as is the relationship between the characters, though very little of that currently exists. The dialogue is written well, most events seem reasonable and logical, and I'm really curious to see how this goes forward. All in all, I'd say this is a solid 7/10 currently. It's not ground-breaking, but it's a fun read and easy to get into, and it has a lot of potential for the future. bow
Read till the end and all I can say to the future reader is do not try reading this, Better find other novel than this, Mc and his human tools have this power but for what? No story progression and no villain. Even force enemy or any other cliche is better than nothing at all. Like literally all this thing have is 'stimulation' and the stimulation is repeatable. Its like repeating Han Jue email for 100 of chapters. You have been warned.
The MC is the least interesting character in the story. Since the MC essentially stops using his cheat and just allows other girls to simulate as he secretly takes the best rewards I assumed we would go threw adventures with him in the main world. But no the heroines(?) have the conflicts and adventures in the main world to. The MC just basically plays the role of a leech while he watched the heroines go threw many adventures. There’s an obvious pacing issue where the rewards get to good and the heroines start becoming way to powerful which destroys their individual struggles in the real world before they can really develop. Also after the update the simulator just sucks. They all just sit in a cave for lik 3-5k years and get tons of OP rewards. It’s like the author gave up on writing a backround for the new simulator world so you just get nothing. All in all it’s a meh story. One of those junk food novels.
it's a good start up for a novel hope it does get picked. then hoping it gets updated frequently so we the readers aren't left of a major cliffhanger!
I really liked this one, at first the MC was kinda generic to me but soon I got hooked when they brought the girl he calls "Tool Man #1" into play. This idea of a untalent MC seeking help from a more talanted person with his system is quite novel to me, usually the MC hoards the benefits all to himself, here it's different though. Later when more girls are brought in things get even more interesting, following multiple POVs is really interesting, the many adventures they each go through is way more fun to read than many novels coming out these days. The best to me is the fact that none of them is invencible, none of them is gonna solo their respetive "runs" and that's really refreshing in a system novel. Each girl does fail and dies many times, but they improve on the next run and go further beyond. The whole thing feels kinda like a "rogue-like" type of game, death in these simulations is expected, the trick is to use what you learned in the previous run to go further in this one, eventually passing through certain events with a "perfect run". All in all, really liked the novel. Having read the RAWs I can say the novel doesn't disapoint as it progress, I recomend this one to all that have some time to spend.
Sounds very interesting. Usually the main character only benefits from this cheat, but now another person can to, which adds much more diversity to this idea. In additionally, some people may not like the process of exploring many new worlds, which this story may skip or shorten the process due to the Goddess (female protagonist?) being the one to go through it.
