Chapter 14: WASN'T IT TOO SOON?

Kiaraa walked hurriedly towards the washroom and looked at the door contemplating whether to go in or not.

'Isn't that walking right into their trap?' she wondered but just shrugged the thoughts away. 'Let's just see what they want anyways.'

She felt thrilled as she walked into trouble and she wasn't even bothered at all if her life would be in danger. She wanted to see what they could do, she wanted to know their strength atleast that way, she could come up with how to deal with them.

Although, she knew that all her answers wouldn't be answered tonight but her main aim tonight was to know their capabilities.

Besides, coming to such party, she had already anticipated such thoughts. Initially, she dreaded such situations but now she knows that it would be inevitable. If they don't try to get her now, they'll do it later so why not get it over with then?

'Wasn't it me who felt troubled a few moments ago? so where did all this courage came from?' she wondered but still decided to go in. Afterall, she wasn't as weak as she portrayed herself to be.

She knew they were watching her right now so she cautiously took off her earrings in a way no one will notice and bent down as if fixing something in her shoes. She then dropped the diamond earrings by the side of the door.

The dim light coming from the hallway reflected into the diamond earrings and she felt satisfied. Only people with sharp eyes could see it anyways.

She walked into the washroom rather confidently and hoped that they didn't get suspicious of her little action.

She glanced at the spacious room carefully trying to get familiar with the surroundings.

She took off the rest of her jewelry and tied up her gown so it won't be an hinderance and just as expected the door opened and two bulky men walked in and the whole room was filled with unspoken words.

She glared at them and they looked at her with brutality. It's just been a few hours and yet they were stupid enough to stage an attack? wasn't it too soon?

One of the men plunged at her and she dodged it skillfully and aimed at his neck, he stumbled a little at her attack and pushed her towards the sink. Her back came in contact with the cold wall and she flinched a little.

He loosened his grip a little and that's where he made the mistake. Buying her act, she used her knee to hit him hard in his groan and he crouched down in pain.

"Shit!!" he cursed fiercely and signalled his counterpart. Seeing their silent conversation, she mentally prepared herself for another attack.

But prior to what she expected, he brought out a little spray bottle and sprayed something in the air. Probably they wanted her to pass out.

Smart but lazy, she thought, but that's not real problem here.

She cringed her nose as the harsh smell whipped her hard. Her nasal rhinitis made things worse and she found herself drifting off gradually.

But no, she couldn't drift off easily. She bit her tongue to keep her awake and she felt a metallic taste of blood in her mouth.

Painful? Yes but it brought back her consciousness a little. She had to find a way to get out of here before she slowly pass out. She couldn't get the answer she was looking for but she couldn't let them capture her.

'My father is a smart man, he should have figured out by now that I was missing but my only problem was that this mansion was extremely large. If they should start searching for me where would the search begin?'

Her only hope was to try to keep her consciousness before they find her.

And so, the fighting continued. The other man had recovered by now and got up on his feet but still he couldn't move properly and she decided to use his slow moves to her advantage.

Just as he was about to stage another attack, she threw a kick towards him and he flew towards the wall and hit his head on the sink. Fresh blood seeped from his head and he lost consciousness immediately.

Satisfied, she had only one more to go but with limited time because her eyes lids were now becoming more heavy. She bit her tongue again and clenched her fists. Her nails dug into her skin and she felt the pain surge through her. It kept her a bit conscious but she didn't know how long it would last.

The other man attacked her and threw her to the floor ruthlessly. She hit the floor harshly and scraped her elbow against the floor. She hissed in pain but still felt grateful as it kept her wide awake.

The man came from behind and pulled her hair harshly and she jabbed his stomach hard with her already bruised elbow and he grunted.

With the opportunity, she got up immediately and rushed over to the door but before she could reach the handle, the man pulled her back towards the wall and strangled her throat.

He tightened his grip on her neck and she felt as if all the air was being forced out of her lungs. Her face was turning pale and combined with her clouded mind plus her consciousness drifting off slowly, she felt she couldn't hold on any longer.

Just then she heard a loud bang but her eyes were already half closed and the only thing she could see was a streak of silver hair and then she gave in to the desires of her eyelids, she closed her eyes and lost consciousness. She don't know why but she felt that she was finally safe.
