Chapter 27: shrek elder visit and the new worker

'this will be the first time I see this kid, but he is definitely interesting, and will probably see him more often from now on' i was thinking while seeing the infamous kid Ray fleeing the room.
he's a kid that got into Shrek city not half year ago, with the help of his said master he open a coffee shop-like store, and what he serve to his client was more like works of art and miracle pieces, from drinks that help calm the mind to ones that help strengthen the martial soul, not counting about the more special ones that have blowing mind effect.
and if that is not enough he has his hand in one of the most sought-after fields by cultivators, alchemists, or more known as pill making.
at first, when I heard his age and test some of his works I was expecting a stem-looking kid or something as thous not archivable by talents alone, but color me surprised, what I saw was probably the most refreshing and easygoing person I have seen, I mean, except him I saw no one can keep his calm atmosphere around title Douluo let alone ones of the top of pyramids. and from Elder's song talk, he was like that from the beginning.
now the interesting part is he probably got something for our Xiaotao, as the moment ther eyes meet he starts to freak out, something unusual for him from the look elder song gives as she is the one who knows him best among us.
'speaking about that I didn't answer Xio Tao's question yet.' i look at Xiaotao "OH right, Ray is not the owner student or something, he is the owner" looking at the expression of Xio Tao I smirk and got back to ordering
and I did him a big favored by ordering a special for Xiao Tao, but to my surprise, the order was accepted and I was given a message saying all the drinks are on the house 'now that rich man on the working, wait!?' i look at the other people "he said all of your orders is on the house!"
most of the people in the room look puzzled, but the ones who know what I mean have the same reaction "WHAT!? LUCKY!" and start to order with excited expressions, looking at my fellow elders with a smile as they also start to order while talking.
ray comes back but this time in black servant clothes, 'kinda look cool' thinking so I look at Xiotao and she becomes completely spell bond 'sigh.... look like she is completely over him and they didn't even talk even once! but that's weird. taking into consideration her character, she won't take interest in him just from his looks'
I look back at Ray dragging a medium size box and placing it on the table, he took the tablet and growls after seeing the orders making a face saying 'me and my big mouth.' i hear a chuckle from my side looking I sow Xiotao chuckling 'MY! did she just pick his emotion just now?' although we make it look easy, it hard to pick someone feeling and especially someone like Ray who had high control over them.
he starts to pick some materials and liquids " So if I am guessing right, the people from the outer court are here for the thing I ask?" looking at elder song nodding, he looks back at the kids from our school as if checking something before saying "all of you welcome, except the two of you I don't have the time or the energy to give to people with hiding agenda behind my back."
pointing his empty hand at two people, one is from the outer court known for his Bullying tendency, as he is here as a test for him so it wasn't surprising he kick him out. but our surprise is the second one. as it was one of the inner court students and the one that got angry at him before.
as he was checking the first order he made and putting it in front of the owner. the two he signaled at awake from the shock.
the inner student yall at him "who do you think you are to tell a Shrek student what to do? KNOW YOUR PLACE LOW LIFE!?" This outbreak of the student surprised everyone including the person in question.
when I was about to stop him out of nowhere he was struggled by his neck thanks to a mist-made hand, at the same time a dried feeling oozed from Ray as he start to talk with a cold voice " giving a face to your elder there, I let the first time past as it was nothing, but you didn't take the hint." Ray stop talking as we saw the inner student raised from his neck.
"so I will say it one more time, but more clearly" ray said the inner court student couldn't even move but was hit by deep bloodlust never could think Ray will have "people like you who see women as consumable things aren't welcome in my house, that includes the people who have a superiority complex."
looking at the outer court student before getting back to the inner court student "the only reason you could step in my shop was this budget" said putting his hand on the budget and looking back at us, then reap it off his chest, the moment he did that the student despair.
we were surprised but the older song look at him "I apologize for his rude behavior, but can you explain why he despaired"
Ray looked at her for a moment but didn't talk instead trow the budget to her and pointed at the second student, she sighed and look at the student "you can go back to the academy and to your normal school time" the student run from the shop the moment he heard her.
we look back at ray to find him end serving the outer and some inner student drink leaving the special ones to the last and instead of starting to make them, he looks elder song in the eyes as if waiting for something.
to my surprise elder song rise her hand in defeat "I apology ok, don't give me that look, we only tried to test you but the first one surprised even us, so can you explain" he sighed and look at my husband "if I am not wrong your material soul is the brilliant phoenix right?" my husband was surprised but nodded "yes, way?"
Ray Hummed and got back to the table "two reasons actually, the first is I want to make a drink for some time now, but very few can consume it, and the second is a question if you do not mind?"
'that looks interesting' before he could answer I did in his stead "just ask!"
he looks at me weirdly before tapping something on the table he holds "the student before, did you really didn't notice anything weird around him?"
