Chapter 35: CHAPTER 35
Andrew carried Jacob on his shoulders and headed toward the jet.
"Put me down. My mom will find you and kill you," Jacob yelled.
If he saw Andrew's mask that will be another story for him but he was lucky to face Andrew's back.
Jacob never realized the speed Andrew was running at and if he could rationalize for a second, he would keep his mouth shut.
"Put me DOWN!!" Jacob shouted.
Andrew soon stopped as he saw the Jet appear in front of him.
The Jet slowly opened and Andrew could see Natasha. She had a first aid kit in her hand thinking he might have been hurt.
She rushed down to see some burnt marks and his outfit torn in some places but he was not injured.
"Thank god, you are alright, we are keeping the bombing thing with us and we are not going to talk about this to Barton," she said relaxing after seeing Andrew was not injured.
"Help Me, Please," yelled Jacob when he heard a woman's voice.
"Jacob!!!" Trich yelled as she heard her son. When the bomb went off her whole world crumbled thinking her son died. Andrew's camera that he had got destroyed by a debrief.
"Mom!!! Help me!!!" Jacob yelled yet again and this time Andrew dropped the kid with force.
"Ahhh!! It hurts," Jacob said as he was put down in force.
"One more time you yell…" Andrew said and his voice was mechanical since he did not remove his mask and Jacob hearing a cold tone turned to see a face that would haunt him for days in his dreams.
"Help!!!" Jacob yelled and Trich whose hands were tied quickly got down and shielded him from Andrew.
Trich saw that Andrew just staring down at her and her son. He then removed his mask and uttered coldly.
"The duration of the return will be the last time you will see your child. Count it…" Andrew uttered coldly.
Trich who had just seen her son alive was so glad but now with what Andrew said she became stunned.
"What are you going to do?" Trich asked Andrew thinking he is going to harm her.
"I am not going to do anything. Your assets are frozen. Soon the money in your account will be transferred anonymously to various charities and your son will from now on live in an orphanage," Andrew said seeing the kid who was still in fear, and Natasha who heard him sighed, 'At least he is not killing them and I have already frozen her assets. Even if the others try to take her money, they won't be able to,' Natasha thought as she remembered freezing Trich's assets once she got her fingerprint.
"And for you, you will lose a hand, and you will start to work again for their organization," Trich felt everything crumbling down. She did not care about losing her hand but when she heard him say that she won't be able to see her son again that shook her to the core.
Natasha saw Trich's face which changed from shock to despair.
'To live and yet not see your son. Everything has a price and this is deserved,' thought Natasha as she walked to the Quinjet.
Trich came out of her stupor and held her son as she walked back with Andrew following them behind.
The kid kept muttering Monster again and again.
The jet took off and now they were heading to SHIELD's Headquarters in New York.
~3 hours later~
This time the jet landed on one of the airstrips in the SHIELD's headquarters.
"Alright, I will be taking them with me and you remember the route, right?" Natasha asked facing Andrew.
"I know," Andrew said and nodded indicating it.
"Okay, be careful. Use the Disrupter and get to the top floor and enter the room, it will be opened, and close it once you get in. Start once I give the signal," Natasha said.
Natasha then took Trich and her son who had been crying. Trich kept apologizing to Andrew but he never budged and soon after an hour after the jet took off she stopped knowing what was going to happen. Trich then turned to her son and hugged him. She cried and told her son to stay strong and that she will get back to him.
"You have to study hard, learn to fight and if there are any bullies punch them in their face. Eat properly and don't keep eating only fast food. You have to eat fruits and vegetables if you want to be healthy. If you find a good girl, remember to treat her properly, and if you believe her to be good and if you have fallen in love with her, marry her. Better make me a grandmother for 3 kids, you get it," she said as tears kept falling from her eyes. Jacob kept nodding his head and never left her embrace. Jacob started to shout and curse at Andrew but just a few words from him made him shut up and see his mother in a different light.
"Your mother killed my wife, my daughter. She could have testified for my innocence but she did not. Be glad. THAT. YOU. GET. TO. LIVE." Those words not only made Jacob feel fear but then he saw his mother not talking back.
She who had told him stories about the Military and how they protect people, she who had instilled the good and rules in him was completely flabbergasted to know this.
Jacob stopped talking and Trich tried to talk to him but he never answered.
Now, Natasha brought them both out of the Jet.
Trich left Natasha's hand and hugged her son. "I made a mistake. I made a mistake. I am sorry, son. Just know your mother loves you even if you hate me," Trich said and another field agent came toward Natasha and the group.
"Phil, take the kid and I will take her," Natasha said dragging Trich with her.
Phil Coulson was the person mentioned by Nick Fury when there was a meeting that made them realize there are spies in SHIELD.
"Alright, is he?" Phil asked.
"He will come,"
Andrew was still inside the jet and was looking through the way that he had to enter.
Nick Fury wanted to meet him once and, in the situation, they were in, he requested Andrew to meet him in the headquarters. Though it was risky it was better than Fury going to Barton's home. Andrew decided to meet him and it was the best. Fury told him that since the day he found out about the spies, he felt someone keeping a close eye on him and if he goes to meet Andrew at Barton's Home it will jeopardize Barton and his family. Andrew had to accept as he did not want Barton's family to be known as well.
He first decided to reject but Barton and Natasha convinced him to meet with Fury once and hear him out.
Half an hour passed by with Andrew waiting patiently and, on the tablet, a message came, "Start,"
Andrew wore his mask and came out.
He activated the Camera Disrupter and used Bend Time.
He rushed at his full speed and started to take many turns as he passed by many SHIELD Agents. Every SHIELD Agent he passed by felt a rush of wind.
Andrew used Blink in between and soon reached the separate lift and pressed a button. He leaned to the side of the list where he pressed the button and the buttons started to go back slowly with a display coming asking for a code.
Time started to go normal and Andrew quickly entered the code. The glass windows of the lift started to get covered by metal and completely blocked all the views and it started to rise.
The lift kept going up and Andrew also activated the Communication Disrupter as well. The whole SHIELD went into an alert mode but Fury, Maria, Phil, Natasha, Barton, and Ian above remained calm.
The lift reached the designated floor and opened.
Andrew again used Bend Time and walked and turned left. A door could be seen close to the end of the pathway which was opened. He then turned to see all the people who knew about him inside. Natasha, Barton, Maria, Ian, Phil Coulson whom Natasha mentioned was bald and white and will recognize him easily, and finally, Nick Fury sitting on a chair behind the table as the rest stood by his side. He then saw similar to the lift that the Glass Window of this entire room was now covered with a metal door and no one could see outside and the ones outside can't see the inside.
Andrew went and sat down on the opposite sofa which had a grey color. Andrew felt Time return to normal and said in a cold and mechanical voice,
"Nice to meet you, Fury."
