Chapter 33: the age of stars begins as this story ends

"It is not, my mother taught me the way to speak before she and everyone I ever loved were cut down by golden warriors, my true name is Hymir, mother named me in hopes of me becoming a frost giant and destroying our enemies with the power of gods, unfortunately I disappointed her thus was shunned from home, that allowed me life as everyone died yet I lived" the giant spoke. his voice surprisingly intelligent and controlled nothing at all something the demigods thought possible.

"Yet they all came back, some have even regained coherent thought, tell me Hymir, how is such a thing possible when your kind died before death was chained" Leonel asked as this was quite different from the futures he saw. " thanks to you actually" Hymir said as he looked towards Leonel. "Me? how is that possible?" he asked in confusion. "When a powerful being emerges it distorts the laws of the world, before the Carian royal family no such mention of glint stone could be seen across any history tome, the crucible came first, then we came and glint stone began to take shape across the land, then the gold came and their influence spread far and wide, it could be that your power over souls allowed those who practiced the art to flourish" Ranni said deep in thought, Hymir only nodded.

"She is correct pup" a voice came from their left. there they could see a flaming lioness floating gently. "Sarabi... where have you been? I tried to-" Leonel asked in confusion as he stood up. "Relax I have been next to Ana the entire time" she said making him think back to a rather flaming blue set of earrings his fiancé said she bought out in the market. Realization dawned on him as he keenly remembered an almost invisible bracelet on Luna's hand which was likely Vitani and Iris had gotten a Firey red hairpin which was likely apollo. "Huh so jewelry was what you guys decided to become?" he asked. "Your mates are top priority right now cub, although I'm sure they will tell you why later, now focus on what is before you" she said leaving him quite confused.

" As i was saying, me and my siblings rule this land separately, none ruled the mountain tops until you and your kind arose, I will make a deal with you, the tops are yours like they originally were, in turn, an alliance with our kind is all we seek, the mountain tops have a plethora of resources and so does our land, the golden order that brought upon your destruction is no more" Rykard said.

Hymir stared at him trying to find the deceit within them yet all he saw was blank calmness. Truthfully the giants had just risen and their power was nothing to scoff at yes but they lacked powerful warriors like the ones before him. "Very well, so long as no human intrudes upon our home without an invitation then i can concede to this, what about the tree? My people were originally hunted because of our flames and their ability to burn the tree" he asked.

"It and others like it will serve as nutrition for my halig trees, within two months their golden shine will be replaced by a silver splendor" Miquella said. "Did you hear that melena?" Leonel asked as his eyes drifted towards the figure hiding below them. Suddenly a hand of crystal encircled the figure and brought them before the current lords. "Your duty will remain undone but our birth giver lies dead within their own chambers, the frenzied flame will be dealt with soon as well, that I promise" Leonel told the girl before him as she struggled to free herself.

She stared at the demigods before her with rage. "Bind her tightly, she is a danger and will remain one but without the influence of the gods she is but a young girl" Radahn said as he scrutinized her. Miquella nodded and snapped his fingers, around Melena silver rings of light formed before interconnecting and creating a see through impenetrable barrier. "Done, where shall she stay?" Miquella asked. "Let her stay here, sister please create a spell capable of monitoring her, she shall be released when she accepts the futility of it all" Rykard said.

"Let's focus on the topic at hand, the giants are risen and plenty in number, the plateau will be deserted for some time if not for ever, I propose we give it to you and your people" Leonel said. "A wise choice, of course that is if you lot are willing to burn the land and rid it of the gold" Radahn said. Hymir sat silent, his eye staring at them deeply "what will we give in return?" He asked. "Ore and crops are good trades, ice is also something your realm has aplenty and could be more than beneficial across the realm" Rykard said entering his trade mode.

"…. I can agree to that" Hymir said as he thought it over. "Very well then, from now on forwards the Altus plateau is your territory, I hope we will see your people rebuilding there nicely" Rykard said. Hymir nodded and stood up before heading towards his giant horde awaiting his orders and began to tell them what transpired. " and that's that, I better get to Liurnia, Mogh is still out there and I need to prepare some forces to deal with him, will any of you venture into the underground?" Leonel asked.

"I will be sending an expeditionary force below Gelmir to see what lays below it, but my main focus is to hollow out the mountain and create a true capitol" Rykard said. "I will return to the academy and take over for mother" Ranni said. "She finally convinced you huh?" Radahn asked. "Oh? Wouldn't you all like to know, in truth she met this cute tarnished mage g- hmhmd" Leonel began but was stopped by Ranni holding his mouth with a vice grip as if her life depended on it.

Everyone's brow raised higher as her blue skin got redder from embarrassment. "Right… well I'll head back to caelid and prepare for the annual festival, should anyone wish to come you need only ask" Radahn said as he stood up and entered the blue portal awaiting him. "We will leave for the halig tree, if you need us simply send someone" Miquella said, Malenia trailed behind him but her eyes stared into Leonel intensely, he gave her a confused look as they left.

"She smells excited, I wonder why cub?" Sarabi said. He turned to her even more confused until it clicked, "you don't think…" he said as his mouth widened. "I know so, you two are related distantly, I doubt anyone in this land could challange you either way and that is something a warrior maiden admires and seeks" she said as they crossed the portal awaiting them. He looked towards where the two golden siblings left with a thoughtful look "yea those three will definitely kill me if I try anything, I'm already on a tight leash as is, whatever, let the future decide" he said to particularly nobody before entering the portal.

The lands soon after underwent a change albeit a positive one. Cities and towns rose rapidly and the people lived in harmony. Many a royal child came from the union of the spectral lion and the four maidens. The halig tree spread far and wide providing a great canopy to the realm of Liurnia and within the leaves glittering stars could be seen shining bright. The royal academy of raya lucaria expanded and created several colleges spread out all over the land provided great knowledge for practically no cost to those who had the talent.

The spectral forces continued to work in the light and in the dark weeding out cultists who sought to bring back the influence of outer gods in the hopes of having their wishes granted. Mogh and his forces were culled swiftly by a force led by Iris who then absorbed his great rune further growing in power. The underground of the land soon was separated and rebuilt as nokstella became a prominent city within the world once again.

Caelid stayed a wild untamed place with its glistening white cities and it's beautiful oasis dotting the vast badlands. The Altus plateau soon changed vastly as the giants settled there and made peace with the incoming humans and Demi humans who wished to own their own farms and work the lucrative mines. Mount Gelmir soon turned into a sprawling capitol and within the mountain the buried palace lay and its lord Rykard ruled with justice and hope.

The warring states of Limgrave soon formed the alliance of a hundred kings who's strength rivaled that of the powerful empires around it yet the kings like always could never get their minds focused on one thing. Life was improving for all and the reason was a single boy who grew up through many a hardship and became a glimmering lion.
